It is the client's responsibility to clean the space at the end of their event, so there is no guarantee that the space will be decent at the beginning of your rental period. Our event was on a Saturday, and when we arrived the space was absolutely TRASHED from Friday night's event. We had to recruit friends and family to help clean up the previous client's mess - not how we planned to spend the morning of our wedding! After expressing our disappointment to management, we were ridiculed for the delivery of our feedback and reimbursed the absolute minimum amount we said we'd accept for our time and trouble on the day of our event. (We had paid top dollar, too. We've been in contact with other customers who'd been charged significantly less.) We cannot recommend Block One until their policy and procedure around cleaning changes. Our guests were as disappointed as we were. Local friends said explicitly that they would not do business with Block One having witnessed our experience. It's really too bad - like I said, it's a beautiful venue!

Having them there to handle the stress of the day made the event flow seamlessly and wet without a hitch! Using Jolly events for our wedding was nothing short of a godsend--everything was taken care of by Emily and her team from start to finish. Emily was able to suggest some great vendors and had a never ending list of industry contacts. I was really impressed with the great communication between Emily and her staff: Jessica and Courtney--they were able to coordinate setting out plates, bussing items around the venue, rearranging the seats and tables for us at the end of the ceremony, and made sure our guests were well taken care of. Our day was immeasurably improved by employing Jolly events. Absolutely 10/10 recommendation--we would definitely use them again and have recommended them to friends and family.

I deal with a lot of vendors and I knew my same-day request (on a Saturday no less) would probably be met with cranky "not possible in the timeline" responses. Instead, I met Jolene on the other end of the phone. What a warm and positive person! She immediately took on my problems with grace and alacrity. She not only solved the heaters and blanket asks but also added so many details that I would never have thought of. Baskets to hold the blankets. Blankets tied with twine. Additional black napkins in case someone was wearing a dark outfit. Found local wines and beers. Just extremely thoughtful in everything she did. My event was not big or expensive. I'm from out of town so I'm probably not a repeat client (wish I could be!). And I had a very last minute weekend request. And Jolene pulled through 110%. I would trust her to plan just about anything. You'll be in the best hands.

I really didn't have much outside help planning the wedding and everything was just barely coming together until, we had the final call with him before the wedding and he set everything at ease. He basically said, "I got you". Price was fair, quality was great, responsiveness excellent (before and during the event), music selection great. Kept the guests entertained and dancing and the ball rolling. No lulls. He really did have it! I didn't have to worry about too much, if anything at all. I had a few questions on vendors and reached out to Trenton and he gave me a few recommendations. They were great recommendations! I was also unsure of his accommodations, like what kind of set up the Y would have. He basically said, as long as I have a table I can handle the rest. He really put to rest some anxiety, I was having. One of my favorite moments was, in our group of friends we have one friend (Carl) who really... I mean really, hates Journey. There is a back story, but no need to explain it here. One of our other friends must have requested "Don't stop believing". Trenton played it, but he must have known that this was supposed to be an inside joke of sorts, and only played a small segment of the song. Enough to make our friend Carl cringe, but not enough to make him vomit (I told you he really doesn't like Journey) but long enough to satisfy whoever requested it. It was just enough. The way Trenton faded the song in and out was great too. Not skipping a beat and smoothly transitioned back into better songs. Trenton was great reading the room and was very receptive to requests. Played all the songs on my "must play list" and stayed away from the one song I absolutely did not want him to play. No matter how many times it was requested. :) I would highly recommend Trebled Entertainment, for weddings or any event. He is fun, easy to work with, goes with the flow and knows how to keep a party going.

Man... Where to start?…read more I wish I could write 2 different reviews; one for Mic who actually DJ'd our wedding and was incredible. Mic was on top of things, he could read the room and make quick adjustments to keep as much of a party atmosphere as you could during a CoVid wedding. My review for Trenton though, not the most positive a person could write. We were supposed to get married in May of this year but, CoVid happened and everything shut down. I contacted Trenton in April 10 to inform that because the state was basically closed we were going to have to switch dates and asked him whether he had our new date available. I texted Trenton who told me that he had the date available but that he'd need to leave early because he had another function that same day. I told him it was OK. At this moment, he did not mention any kind of rebooking fee or any charges to switch dates during this pandemic. I contact my venue, my photographer, my coordinator, the makeup artist and the City Parks and Recreation department and get the date changed. Not one person asked for a fee. After I had done the change, Trenton sends me this email "I wanted to let you know with how crazy everything has been, there is good news! Deposits are typically for date reservations and when there is a date change, the deposit is forfeited (in our agreement). Considering this event, being like nothing anyone in our lifetime has ever seen, we have been through similar situations with floods and tornado canceling events. This is preciously why wedding insurance exists, but many people aren't aware of it. very similar to travelers insurance. Even though we have received no unemployment or SBA loan stimulus, as a very small business that has closed its doors for months, with zero income, we are doing everything we can to help our couples and team, we have found a way to apply all of our clients deposits to their future date, minus a $125 re-booking. It took a lot of work and securing a private loan, but we can weather the storm and look forward to seeing you on your big day!!" At this point I am confused because every single contract has always mentioned "Acts of God". In this case his contract boiled down to "We will always keep your deposit" pandemic be damned, closed venues be damned, human life be damned. I want to reiterate that NO OTHER VENDOR ASKED FOR A RESCHEDULING FEE. What really killed me was when he replied to my email trying to understand the "Act of God" protection clause with "In this circumstance, we are making an exception to the agreement, thus not keeping your deposit in full and offering a rebooking fee. I understand that this is not preferable, but in a situation like this we all have to bear the burden and come up with some amount of fairness, otherwise like I said we won't be in business to provide a service and when a business goes bankrupt, they can't pay back deposits, because they are brankrupt." We were not asking him for a discount, we were not asking him to return a deposit, we were not asking for anything other than moving our date after he'd told us it was available and in every email he failed to mention this fee. I honestly cannot recommend someone who deals in shady fees and who is trying to take advantage of brides and grooms who had weddings planned in this pandemic and trying to squeeze more money out of them. His behavior was shameful, tasteless and predatory.

September 28, 2022…read more I decided to wait until after our daughter's wedding to post this negative review of Libbi Alcorn and her company, Luxe Event Productions, LLC. I hired Libbi on March 4, 2022 as a full-service wedding planner for our daughter's wedding in Fort Collins on September 4, 2022. While I was optimistic and positive about hiring her initially, the result of this decision ended up as one of the worst experiences of my life. Since I was planning this wedding from out-of-state, I wanted an experienced wedding planner to find and work with all the necessary vendors to build a wedding venue on my daughter's horse ranch. I interviewed Libbi and communicated what I wanted and needed from a wedding planner. Libbi assured me she would find and secure the vendors and help me with all the aspects of the wedding planning process to their conclusion. Initially I was pleased and optimistic about my decision to hire Libbi. She was pleasant, seemed knowledgeable about vendors and whom I should hire. Early on, she contacted an outstanding DJ (Brandon Harrington of Suit and Tie DJ Professionals) and I secured the contract for his services. She also initiated contact with a rental company to order a tent and other necessities. As the weeks passed, critical wedding vendors had not been contacted or secured. I would email and text Libbi for updates and seldom received a response. I had to initiate almost all communications, asking her to schedule conference calls, inquiring about what progress she had made with regard to securing vendors, etc. Libbi and I had approximately 4 phone sessions in 3 months, during which we discussed long lists of items that needed finalizing. I was hopeful that she would follow through with her promises, but time passed and nothing changed. Here is a partial list of Libbi's lack of follow through as a wedding planner: On March 18, 2022 I asked about an officiant, and Libbi said she had the perfect choice. He was available, and I asked her to send me his contract. Over the weeks and months, I continued to inquire about the officiant and eventually, she admitted, he was no longer available. I asked her to secure a videographer, whom she said was excellent (and available), then weeks later he was inexplicably unavailable. I asked her to find and secure another videographer. She said she was doing "research" on them but she never followed through with a recommendation or a contract. In our initial conversation, Libbi emphasized the importance of securing a good photographer. My daughter wanted to hire a photographer she had used in the past for her wedding. Libbi had reservations about my daughter's choice and told me she would contact her immediately to ensure she would be a good fit. After months of not receiving a contract nor any communication about the photographer, I called her and she said she had never been contacted by Libbi and was wondering if we still wanted her to do our wedding! I followed through and secured her contract myself. Libbi provided input on available caterers and asked me to select three and select the food items I would like to sample (which I did in short order), so she could contact the caterers, get bids, and set up tastings. I waited weeks for her to get back to me. In advance of a visit I was making to Fort Collins, I reiterated my desire to have the tastings scheduled. When I met Libbi during my visit, she had not set up one tasting and informed me that our number one choice for caterer was now unavailable. I then had to set up my own tasting by going to the caterer's restaurant, contacted the catering manager, ironed out all the details (which took days of communication), and secured their services. Libbi never once communicated with our caterer. Early on, Libbi created a wedding board and said she would post ideas on it (and asked me to do the same) so we could establish a unified wedding plan and scheme. I posted 99% of the ideas and Libbi only made one or two comments on all my posts. We never discussed the information on the wedding board, and after I terminated her services, she pulled the wedding board so I would not have access to it. Libbi told me she was "almost finished with our wedding budget" mid-April but I never received any budget-related information. On April 11, I asked Libbi for names of 2 florists so I could call them and visit their shops to discuss wedding flowers during my upcoming stay in Colorado. She did not provide me with any names. One month later, Libbi set up an initial phone meeting with a florist, whom I really liked. I did not receive any follow up information from Libbi about the floral contract. After I terminated Libbi, I called the florist and she said she had reached out to Libbi on three separate occasions about the wedding flowers but she had never responded. Libbi promised to help me with the creation and ordering of the wedding invitations, yet provided no assistance. I sing
