So, instead of waiting in a line of 8 people to ask the checker, I went to the front of the line and quickly asked her the question. I would go in, but I have kids in the car, so curbside pickup is preferred. I did see lots of customers come in & out of the store, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt that employees were swamped. But the next time I tried curbside pickup, there were hardly any cars in the parking lot, and it still took 10 minutes for them to bring out my 1-item order. I've had other experiences with JoAnns (right next door), where they have my order out in 5 minutes or less. So if shopping for crafting materials and you're wanting curbside pickup, Michaels is second to JoAnns.

All I can say for sure is the name on the door now (January 2018) is FRAMEWORKS, so that's what I'll call it. What is certain is the Frameworks artistic genre: Work of faith and work of inspiration. The University Mall location seems to have two areas of focus in content: Jesus, and images of LDS temples. Sure, they have some cool artwork that seems like something from the renaissance ("Betrothed" by James Christiansen is amazing), but most of has religious undertones (actually, really OVERtones). They have some cool furniture pieces (chairs, dressers, lamps, etc.). And obviously, they offer framing services. I have not had them frame anything for me. They definitely make a killing on it since they're charging hundreds of bucks for a frame. In the end, not my cup of tea. Luckily for Repartee/Frameworks, they're in an area where half the population loves what they're serving.

The workers there are the best I've seen in a book store. They are all very knowledgeable about the store, its literature, and history of the items they have in store. The first time I visited I chose a passage from one of their Bibles that you can have framed on the spot; I also met Mr. Moon! I cherish this Bible page, and have it mounted in my office. If you're looking to buy reprints of your favorite books or looking to read something new, they have them available at reasonable prices. If you're looking for something older, maybe even a first edition, they most likely have it too. I couldn't recommend this bookstore more, and I hope to return again in the future!
