If you need to see a dentist on an emergency or quickie basis this dentistry chain is worth a look. They can get you in and they do have some limited oral surgery days times. However, they aren't the kind of dentist office you see on TV where they have any amenities (no headphones, cutesy stuff). This is bare bones in my opinion. I had some work done (emergency type) and they did good. Saw me for follow up, but because oral surgeon not there very much I had to drive to other locations for that. My main complaint is these types of dental or eye or cosmetic procedure type establishments is that they feel VERY sell-y, with staff whose only job or is is toget you to commit $$ or open credit accounts so they can commit you to things and amounts you may not be interested in. Be cautious with your wallet here and know that if you tell them it's not in your current budget they'll pressure you like you went to a timeshare pitch in a Vegas hotel. read more

The billing practices here is horrible. They overcharge they double charge getting them to fix anything is horrible. You have to call them demand them to fix their overbilling. The place is dirty. I'm a snowbird near Casa Grande. My crown fell off and I needed to have it cemented back on. Silly me--I thought Aspen Dental did emergency work. I had dental work done 2 years ago @ Aspen Dental in a different state. So I now am required to have a complete exam, x-rays, etc. before they will see me again. I have a regular dentist back home in Michigan. I just need a crown re-cemented. The receptionist was rude, unprofessional, and totally lacked empathy. She could have cared less. I could barely explain my needs because she had too many policies to spew out. Don't waste your time unless you want to become the property of Aspen Dental and give them exclusive rights to your dental care and insurance. read more

I ha e had a tooth ache for three days. Got into see the dentist. Was told I need 13k inwork. My insurance covers 5k a year. I thought at least they would do something about my tooth. But, they stopped all treatment till I could get financing. I got approved and the company they use would not let me make the down payment with a credit card! So, I was sent on my way face and mouth still hurting. My insurance would have more than paid for any proceedure to stop the pain. Ssve your time. Use another office. read more

My tooth broke on Sunday and I made an appointment for Monday morning. After one hour and thirty six minutes, I was informed by the dentist that my tooth is broken. I was ushered back to the front and informed of what my insurance would cover and what my responsibility would be. I really wanted my tooth fixed and happily agreed to pay my portion, but then I was told that it would have to be another day because they didn't have time. I agreed to reschedule, but then they demanded that I pay in advance to schedule. I didn't appreciate the process up to this point and that was enough for me to thank them and leave. Why schedule an appointment for a broken tooth (literally checked the broken tooth box on the online scheduling form) if you're just going to confirm what I already knew?! BTW I wasn't very impressed with the examination/treatment rooms' organization and cleanliness either, but I really wanted my tooth fixed. Horrible experience. I had full mouth extractions 7 months ago somewhere else. The dentures I currently have aren't working for me so I came here. During the consult the dentist was extremely dismissive about what I was wanting and just said, "we can make them look how you want, no problem". I should have paid attention to that red flag. We paid almost 4k for the best ones. Front office guy WAS friendly at this point because they are getting al this money. Went in for my wax try ins and they were horrible. Crooked and a large lump on the gum part sticking out. Told me there was nothing they could do to fix it. But if I gave them more money they could! Front office guy is now no longer happy and cheerful and says he will refund me. And that it's the patients fault for not communicating clearly enough! I showed them specifically what I wanted to avoid and they didn't listen! Made the teeth Crooked and too small, just like the old ones! Then has the audacity to say it's my fault for not being clear enough? I even spoke with the woman who was going to be making them! Showed them my old dentures and the problems. Showed them pictures! Thankfully we got a refund but clearly wasted my time and got my hopes up of being able to finally smile. read more

I had a raging toothache. Aspen in Dental in Casa Grande took an xray. I was told I needed a root canal. They then came back (same visit) and said "Oops that tooth has already had a root canal!" We're not sure what's going on - come back next Tuesday and we'll get our endodontist to tell you which tooth needs a root canal. Meanwhile, the financial guy gave me a written quote for $3,050.00 for the root canal. This allegedly included a nonspecified discount of $237.90. Went home that night and the toothache got worse. I called back to Aspen and they said, hold on we'll call you back. Never called back. Next day (Saturday) I called Apex Endodontics in Gilbert, AZ. They said "when can you get here? Come right in!" Drove all the way there from Eloy - two hours later root canal finished, done knowledgeably, efficiently, painlessly. They charged $1,249.00. To top it off, they told me (which Aspen hadn't) that my insurance covered it all except $125!! My advice is that Aspen might be okay for minor services, but don't go to them for a root canal - seems like they don't know what they're doing. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. Spent $7000 on dentures that keep breaking. The product is clearly defective and the refuse to replace the top plate. They actually tried to charge me $2000 more. Alex the office manager is rude and hatefu as well. This is the third time they have broken in the same spot and Aspens viewpoint is, oh well not our problem. Insurance states incorrect billing if billed correctly they would pay no problem. I informed aspen to re bill correctly. They said they did. Now months later I received past due bill and collections agency letter same day. Notified BBB and waiting to see if they will resolve. Next step is a bigger waste of my time court. I made an appointment to have my teeth cleaned and ended up with a bill for $677. I was shocked of course and reviewed the charges with the Manager. It seems that decided I needed to have a "deep cleaning". They also included in my charges a bottle of mouthwash and a tube of toothpaste of a cost of $35 each which I did not accept. The total became $607 to clean my 11 teeth, or $55 per tooth, as I have complete upper dentures. My complaint is not about the Dentist or the cleaning technician only about the ripoff of a senior citizen. The cleaning was complete in less than 50 minutes. read more

If you don't mind a facility who puts their own greed ahead of their patients welfare, then Aspen Dental of Casa Grande is the place for you. I took my 17 year old daughter there, who was suffering from wisdom teeth growing in. The pain was almost unbearable to her, and, after calling several dentists, Aspen was the only one willing to give her an "appointment" that day. On the phone, they made it sound like they were really doing me a big favor seeing her on short notice, then when we get there, there's big signs in the window reading "walk-ins welcome". First red flag, but, OK, so what, we're here and they're seeing her, that's what really counts right now. Four pages of paperwork later and she's in. 45 minutes later she emerges, and the male receptionist calls us over for a consultation. We sit down, and I say, before we start, I want to say that we came here to get some relief for her pain. She's been eating Ibuprofen like candy and it's not working anymore. If you can't or won't help her, then we need to move on to somewhere that will. The receptionist tells me he'll have to ask the Doctor about that, and gets up and leaves. He returns shortly with a couple pages, an itemized list of their suggestions of the work she needs, which he was kind enough to apply coupons to, which brought the total down to $8000 from $9000. Yea, right, so, where's the prescription? Once again, he replies he will have to ask the Doctor about that. I said, I thought that's what you were doing the first time you got up. Didn't I just sit here and tell you she's in a lot of pain? Then he says he will ask the Doctor but I need to lose the attitude. I informed him he had not seen attitude yet. Then he threatened to call the police on me. Then I told him he was close to being injured. Maybe not the best thing to say, but, when dealing with a parent who's child is in pain and you hold the means to stop that pain, maybe it's better to address the pain issue before trying to make lots of money off them. I don't usually behave this way, but when it's my child's welfare at stake, all bets are off. So, after that exchange I was asked to leave, which I did, I knew I had better leave right then or things were going to escalate quickly. My daughter, in a lot of pain, and now, quite embarrassed by all this, remained, and was eventually granted a small prescription of pain reliever. The thing is, I would have been glad to go over their over priced litany of suggestions for her dental care, if first they would have shown even a modicum of care for her situation. All they could see was the $$$ signs. It was as simple as saying, OK, first, here's something for the pain, and now, if you have a minute, I'd like to go over these procedures we are recommending. Just show a little decency, at least act like you care, then, it'll be easier to get the money. This is all pretty much on the receptionist this one person they have chosen to represent the entire facility. Bad choice if you ask me. Eventually, this will happen again with a guy who's not quite as nice as me if this receptionist is not replaced, or he changes his approach to people. Either way, it's an issue that needs to be addressed. read more

I did not have the bad experience of the other reviewer. I enjoyed my experience, the exam was thorough and the staff was very competent and kind. I am not a fan of dental visits normally, but I was comfortable, and everything was explained step by step. After the exam the office manager reviewed the costs, and what insurance covered for work I needed, and I was given many options to cover my portion. Aspen Dental will not help you if you have dental emergency and are in server pain. I made appointment to have work down on broken tooth that was in pain. The dentist came stuck a mirror in my month and recommend exactly what i made the appointment for; root canal to take of the pain and later crown. After i agreed he left and did not come back in. They then sent in a dental hygienist, which was very painfully but i though it was needed so the doctor could return and work on my tooth. I found out later that this was all to get a review of work and they were not going to do any work that visit. At no point did anyone say that they would not be able to do any work on my broken tooth. I was in severe pain and Aspen did not help me when I needed them the most. Also, the doctor saw me for less then 1 minute and never returned after the hygienist. After leaving the office i was able to get an emergency visit with a dentist that actually did review and work on my tooth that day. Now Aspen will loose out on 3.5K of revenue to get root canal, crown done and other work done. read more

Got a follow-up call from the Regional director of Aspen, not the office. She listened to our problems, and promised follow-through and satisfaction. I got an appointment with the dentist that started my procedures, and he's making me another denture also has made adjustments to the denture that I'm wearing until the new one is satisfactory and in my mouth. The insurance reimbursement to my wife's account was returned because the office put the wrong address on it...and they had it returned 2 week prior, just didn't address it correctly to assure that it would be credited...thanks to April for finding it and bringing it to the attention of the inept office staff. read more

i'm writing this in regard to the yearly service aspen dental has for veterans on june 9th, i had my appoinment at the casa grande az. office in hopes of having some work done instead all that was taken was an x-ray and a ten minute consultation informing me of what i already knew and that any fillings would be fruitless. that same evening i saw a segment of this aspen service for veterans on the abc 15 news channel where they interviewed two veterans in the phoenix area where they said they were very happy with their visit that they had even received new teeth during their visit in phoenix office where i wish i would have gone instead of the cg. office, just didn't seem like dr. wanted to do much too help this veteran think he cared more about the money than it being pro bono for veterans day !!! read more

This was our first time going to Aspen Dental and we went to the office located in Casa Grande, Arizona. Our first visit was to take x-rays and get a consultation. We both did well, except one of us had a little gingivitis. On our return two days later for a cleaning, we were told that the gingivitis treatment would cost $300. We have insurance and this was in addition to what the insurance was paying. We balked and were ready to leave, when the true picture was explained to us. Final cost $60, so we are guessing that if we did not balk that we would have paid $300? Why go through this kind of tactic? Personnel were outstanding and we were seen quickly. As soon as I walked in I was treated like family. Virginia and Alyssa Welcomed me with big smiles and were very polite. The dental assistants Nic and Ricky were very nice and funny and made me feel comfortable knowing I was nervous to be there as most people are. Doctor Patel was very nice and considerate giving me all my options and explaining them very thoroughly.
