Bonnie Stephen's is my usual doctor but she's booked for weeks. And I can highly understand why from how she treated me compared to how I was treated yesterday. I seriously regret going here, the lady walking out before me angrily saying that they didn't help her was already a sign. I can tell I wasn't taken seriously because my side effects weren't as severe as 4days ago. Starting my new job 4weeks ago that hasn't gave me insurance due to the 3month probation period. So of course I have to see them late on a pay day because I know I would have to pay upfront right there & then. The lady before the FNPC check up was super kind and I wish the FNPC was a nice as she was. And taken me seriously like she did. Idk I just got that vibe that I wasn't being taken seriously & had a strong feeling that I wasted her time. Not to mention only excused me for one day. Just because my symptoms cleared didn't mean I was okay the 3days before. Then again I remembered this is a Nurse practitioner so I guess I should expect that. Dont go here! They have been medically neglecting my husbands malignant mole. He was told they would sent out a referral bc it was concerning but yet the doctor failed to send referral after 3 week and going ! And on top of that we were told by front desk that she never even added on my husbands medical notes that there was a serious concern of possible skin cancer. He asked why and they give him no answers pretty much along the lines of " okay what do you want me to do about it". I wouldnt let a warehouse rat be cared by these people. Doctors and front desk people are unprofessional and its sickening that they work for health . Wish i vould put negative stars. read more

ZERO stars! I visited the Casa Grande location because the original doctor I saw, Dr. Herried at the Chandler office, wasn't available for another nine days. Dr. Herried expected me to wait that entire time with my symptoms, which are caused by a fibroid and norethindrone acetate without any interim help. Today, when I saw this new doctor (Dr. Sean Garcia) at Casa Grande, I explained that the norethindrone acetate is making me extremely moody, I lose my temper easily, and it's affecting my quality of life. Despite all of this, I was told just to keep taking the same medication and add ibuprofen -- no real help was offered. There are other medications to help that he could have offered but he just didn't want to prescribe it and told me to talk with Dr. Herried about it. I drove all the way there for nothing when they could have told me this over the phone when I initially called for help. I felt completely dismissed and unheard. I will be contacting the manager to ensure my insurance isn't charged for a visit where absolutely nothing was done to help me. At this point I will seek care elsewhere because there's no way I trust Dr. Herried or Dr. Garcia to do my hysterectomy. read more

I see Dr. Chung and I think he is the Best Dr. I've ever had and I'm not young. He really cares about your issues and will make sure he goes 110% with you to make you feel better. I believe I've been seeing him for 6 yr.s now and wouldn't know what I'd do if he ever left....Yes you have to wait, but once he comes in he is all yours, no rushing and explains everything in detail. Sun Life Family Health Center (Casa Grande) used the wrong procedural code for my brief 1st-time visit (no more than 20 minutes), which resulted in a $350 bill. For 20 minutes with a nurse practitioner. I petitioned them to change the code (from 99204 to 99202 -- Google it), but they rejected my request. After a few phone calls and emails with Samantha Reinhard (director of community outreach), they have dug in their heals, demanding that I pay $350 for a simple 20-minute first-time visit to refill my three high blood pressure medications. Their treatment is heartless at best, and criminal at worst. I wonder how many others have been overcharged for simple consultations and treatments at Sun Life Family Health Center. Might be a great story for local media. I bet I'm not the only person they have intentionally overcharged. read more

Today, March 5, 2024, around 4 pm. My brother and I visited Sun Life Family Dentistry, 1A. I could tell the two ladies, I didn't even bother to get the names of, weren't going to help us. The one to the right of us was already shaking her head negatively. The other, dark-haired receptionist actually said she would inquire about my brother being seen, but I think it was all for show. How sad that these two ladies have nothing better to do then shun a man in pain. The office business hours are posted as 8-5 pm online, but they told us they close at 4. I get it, they have their own office agenda, and we didn't get there in time. I will definitely not take my brother back there. I will pay an arm and a leg somewhere else as long as I am not treated how Sun Life Family Dentistry's two receptionists treated my brother and me. read more

Went today with my husband to his appointment. The only thing thag makes this place great is Dr. Chang he is my doctor and my moms. Unfortunately my husbands doctor is Dr. Nayer. My husbands labs were abnormal first visit with Nayer. They did repeat labs. Took forever to get a response to get a follow up weeks on I would call to get a response. No call back whatsoever. Then finally after more than a month of waiting I talked to the supervisor at Sunlife. Kelly. Only then was this taken seriously. I got a response right away. Today I actually got a chance to go with my husband to his appt. Dr. Nayer has no compassion very unprofessional. I don't mind waiting. But when you tell me and my husband that you are going to check on something and come back with an answer. You come back with an answer! Not go to another patient and attend to them and just send your medical assistant to attend to us. We had more questions and more concerns. But no you decided you were going to got to the next patient. Then make us wait some more. We left. We were not going to wait another hour for another question to be answered. I told him my husband was still coughing too and he did not even bother to listen to his lungs... SMH. I am in the medical field too so no I am not Kray kray when I say stay away from seeing Dr. Nayer. We will definitely find another doctor after todays incident. Not following up on repeat labs is one thing. But being unprofessional and no care is just too much!!!! read more

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but it is a branch of sunlife so i would like to boast for a minute. I am a patient at sunlife women's center and I can not speak highly enough about dr.willms. He has always been efficient, through, and caring when it comes to my health concerns. My first pregnancy was extremely rough and tiring and I am so glad that we found him. He helped an anxious first time mom through the whole process and assuring me everything would go as smoothly as possible the whole time. Fast forward years later and he is still there and currently treating me for another ongoing medical condition and is as helpful as ever. Being from Pinal County sunlife in particular is not spoken of highly, but I assure you going to see dr. Willms is not only the best choice I've ever made but I would be devastated if he ever left the practice! The front office girls are always friendly and remember me by name every time I come in. They have consistently had the same two smiling faces in the front for at least three years who have always been sweet, helpful, and make the waiting experience extremely pleasant. I wish that all branches of sunlife extended this kindness and professionalism but for now I will always return to the women's center in casa grande. read more

Showed up early for the second time for my second Moderna vaccine after my appt was confirmed last night to be told that they are out of the vaccine. I was never notified about this. Two weeks ago I had showed up for another confirmed appt early and was not administered the vaccine as they said they didn't open up vials after 2:00, my appt was scheduled for 3:00. This is two times I have been denied a vaccine I dearly need as I work with the public with direct patient care. It greatly concerns me that the director of medical services, Bessie Burke would not speak with me nor would admin. I have no choice but to report them to the county and state health departments as they are playing God with the vaccine. What does a girl have to do to get the freaking vaccine?? read more

My father ordered new dentures here and was extremely dissatisfied. They could not get it right. He ended up with a pair of dentures that do not fit and were extremely painful to wear. He finally went to another dentist office who did a wonderful job. He is out $1,824 and they will not make it right. Do not use them for dentures! read more

I went to SUN LIFE DENTAL for a dental appointment. I am scared to death to go to the dentist and honestly have not been in 12 years. I have had the worst esperiences and put things off until I absolutely have to go. This was the best experience of my life. I had to have a lot of work done to my teeth, to include a deep cleaning. I did not feel a thing. Even the numbing shots were painless. I barely felt a poke. The prices were really fair as well. I would recommend anyone that is fearful of going to the dentist, to go to Sun Life. I am no longer in fear of going to the dentist! read more

I've been sick for 3 days, with bronchitis. I tried to get seen the second day, but they told me they had no availability and scheduled me on the third day. I had to miss two and a half days of work. When all my symptoms started I had to leave work early, because I was falling asleep at work, drained, sore throat, chills and everyone was telling me to leave early. I was driving back home, and it was hard to even keep myself awake to get back home. I went in today early morning, I had no problem with any of the nurses or the receptionist. As soon as, the doctor (Dr. Deepak Nayyah) came in gave me a bad look, asked me what was going on. I just went on to tell him what all happened, and he was just in a rush to get out and didn't really care for my health. When everything was done he was rushing to walk out without even offering if I needed a doctors note for work. I've never had a problem with getting a doctors note for work, for being sick. He could've give me a doctors note for work, and he diagnosed me with bronchitis and showing all the symptoms? I've never had a bad experience with any doctors, or doctors who are not understanding or considerate of others. I had to get a new doctor unfortunately because my other one decided to quit the medical field so the closest doctor I could find available to help with my anxiety was at this location , Dr. Curry. I have recently ran out of pills for my Lexapro (depression & anxiety) which if anyone is aware of stopping this pill cold turkey the side affects and withdrawal is so bad. People have lost their battle to depression because of stopping these pills all the sudden. My doctor was aware of this and the reception. YET The following events happened: - scheduled appointment a week ahead for refill renewal and was going to go one day or two without them. - got the call the DAY of my appointment that stated I needed blood work to be done before Curry could see me and refill my prescription . I had made it aware fully that I had no pills. - three days later I got bloodwork super late because I have work and that's my only time available. This is about 5 days no pills. - I had a behavioral incident at work due to stopping it cold turkey and had to be sent home for rest. - my mother called on my behalf since I was sick and behaving weird to see about getting a temporary refill until I am seen. Something that was NEVER OFFERED BEFORE HAND TILL MY OWN MOM CALLED. the receptionist Elizabeth stated it would be put as a priority and we would receive a call once it was approved or denied. Nobody ever called that day or the next day. - finally we called my pharmacy to see if just maybe it got approved and it was there and sure enough it was , it had been ready since the night before. Just after we called to ask for the temporary refill. - between all of this I attempted to end my life due to my emotions being all over the place and I vaguely remember that night. Had we been given the call I could have already been on my medication that night. - finally got my pills as of today and I am doing okay so far but will still take time to adjust to being out back on them since I was off for a week and 3 days. The timing and professionalism lacked from this facility completely and this is how people end up loosing their lives. Had anyone at this facility just taken into consideration the time sensitivity of not being on my medicine and just stringing me along without considering the patient, I wouldn't have gone through what I had. The withdrawal symptoms made me feel sick and completely out of control of my own body. 50% of people who stop this medicine out of the blue commit suicide and did anyone at the location care? No. I was just told to wait, that I'd get calls, and that it wouldn't be refilled till my doctor got what she wanted. And the receptionists did not communicate with me correctly. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Lawrence Bence of Florence, AZ for 15 years. Good Doctor. Last year he sold his private practice to Sun Life Family Health Center and became a paid employee as a doctor on their staff. Things were going well except for the billing. Even though I paid a co pay through my insurance, 3 months later I get a bill in the mail and the running me in circles began. Their billing practices are questionable at least. Yesterday, I called the Florence office to request refills on meds and was told Dr. Bence is no longer there and that they would not give me a refill on my blood pressure meds unless I come in and see one of their other providers. I explained I only have a few days worth of meds left and couldn't just drop everything and drive in there right then. I explained to them Dr. Bence would always give me a refill until I could get in to see him as I live 125 miles away from Florence during the summer months. Basically I was told too bad so sad and either make an appointment for the next day or they couldn't help me. I have 3 days of meds left that are not to be abruptly discontinued and they could care less. I got no written or email or phone call notice Dr. Bence was leaving so I could find another doctor. Note; it's not against Arizona law for a doctor to abruptly close their doors and leave town or quit an employer. AMA advises to do it as a courtesy. The front desk person told me they mailed out notices but I never received one. This organization cares nothing about their patients. Simply throwing me to the wolves and denying one refill so I can have some flexible time to make arrangements to make the trip down there is not only shameful it's also unethical. It's not like I'm asking for opioids or a controlled substance here...but rather blood pressure meds. Nor am I a new patient or some bum off the streets. This emerging attitude of "It's a privilege for you to be seen by us" is not acceptable. And it's not just this organization that has this attitude. The medical profession at large seems to be becoming " A legend in their own minds". Between me and my insurance company we pay some mighty good money just to walk through their doors. The least they could do is give me the time of day. I realize I'm not their only patient but I AM/was their patient. If you're looking for medical professionals that actually care, in my opinion this isn't the place to come. Avoid it. read more

The wait isn't too bad but to get an appointment is normally two weeks ahead. So it sucks when I need to be seen sooner. The staff has always been friendly and the service is great! I love my doctor. She takes time to talk with you and explain what your conditions are. And she's good at not making you feel uncomfortable asking silly questions. read more

Have tried to get blood drawn for over a week and each time they are saying at least an hour wait - I leave ! I have spent over 5 hours waiting on my last several visits !! When i started here it was a great place but seems to have grown and changed so much and with that seems patient concern has went down hill .. still hoping it gets better soon, but ... it's remains frustrating every time !!!! I had a my lab appointment today and it was horrible. I checked in it and was not busy at all one person was there who actually was called in while I was being checked in, and he left a few minutes after I checked in, A lady checked in for her appointment 15 minutes after me and her appointment was scheduled after mine and was called a few minutes later, while I still waited now 25 minutes later, I waited a few minutes later and then asked for my lab order to take somewhere else. It was not until after I wanted to leave they were wanting to help and ready for me. There was no sorry we were busy but they could not use because they were not busy since it is by appointment only today and no one was ever waiting in the lobby but me! The front desk was rude, saying I did not want to wait, which in fact I was tired of waiting and being passed up. I will never use this lab ever and do not recommend, I will definitely stay with Sonora Quest Labs from now on. read more

i scheduled appointments for me and my boyfriend back in early july, they said they couldn't take us until mid- august, this is the only place i could find nearby that could take both our insurances. a few days before the appointment we got a call they needed to move it to ending of august bc the dentist had scheduled days off when we had our appointments. i was upset because we had already waited so long already but i had no other choice so i rescheduled when they told me to. when i got there i had just found out i was pregnant with my second child and when filling out the forms i put that i was a few weeks pregnant. when i gave the ladies at the front my clipboard of information i pointed out i circled yes to pregnant so they could notify the dentist (that way nothing is used that could cause birth defects, i had seen a dentist with my first pregnancy so i knew it shouldn't be a problem, but it apparently was for the front desk ladies, when i said that the lady sitting next to the one i was talking to quickly moved her head in my direction to look at me judgmentally, making me very uncomfortable. i sat down and waited for over 30 minutes waiting to be seen. when i was finally seen i waited over an hour to see the dentist, who was very nice, i do like her but it seemed like i was double booked with someone else because i saw her with another patient for quite a while. i had scheduled for a regular cleaning, so i thought that that's what i would have gotten especially after waiting so long to be seen, but the dentist requested x-rays (which only took a few minutes) and said they would schedule me for the cleaning next week, i was very disappointed. Copays aren't cheap and having to pay twice isn't fun, it all should have been done in one session. When i had scheduled the appointments initially i asked if they took our insurances & gave them our member id numbers when asked, i asked what we needed to bring and they said only your insurance card and id. For my boyfriends appointment a few days later, he brought both those things and they claimed it wasnt the correct insurance card and refused to see him, they said he needed the card from his old insurance and luckily he was able to text me to find it and i found it just in time, they were telling him he wasn't allowed in the building because he didn't have the card. i sent it just in time and he waited another 20 minutes to be seen, while many other people who had appointments way later than him were being seen first. when he is seen he sees his doctor working on the people who had later appointments than him but were seen sooner than him. When he is finally seen by the dentist he is given quick x-rays, the doctor comes in for 10 minutes to look at his teeth and then says to schedule the cleaning, mind you this appointment was supposed to be the cleaning and that's what we asked for when we made the appointments. Meaning he will have to pay yet another copay meaning we are out $80 just in copays these last two weeks. needless to say i will be looking elsewhere, even if it's a farther drive. just an awful place i'm so disappointed. read more

I see Marilee, too - Dr. Eyring (pronounced "eye-ring"). She is one of the best GP's I've ever had. She listens closely and intends to find solutions. Some docs just don't seem as solution-oriented as one would like! I feel like I'm in great hands, with her. The staff is pleasant. However, there are a lot of foul-ups like the receptionist forgetting to tell the back office I was there and making me wait for an hour, until I asked what was up, phone messages not being relayed correctly or responded to, etc. Yet, compared to other community clinics I've been to, it's still well above average. read more

I have been a patient at Sun Life for over 8 years and have been very happy with my provider, Dr.Chung. I travel all the way from the valley for services ranging from well checks to sick visits. I always feel that I can trust that Dr. Chung will go above and beyond to figure out what is going on. I would definately recommend him. read more

Horrible....."doctor" ordered 21 x-rays(neck to knees) for a lower back strain problem from cutting a tree down. Blue Cross refused to pay and the "doctor" tried to con me into paying the $300 in house x-rays. Said he was looking for CANCER!!!! Still trying to collect.....RUN away from these quacks. This facility is by far the absolute worst family practice ever!!!! I would avoid this place at all costs. There has been 2 Dr.'s that have even decided to leave and practice elsewhere because of how poorly this facility is ran. The remaining Dr.'s absolutely suck right along with the administration as well! I was there with my wife and daughter just for a referral to a dermatologist for our daughter and the Dr. ended up calling my wife stupid all because she called a P. A. a Dr. Half the time their staff doesn't even know what's going on there either. We finally had enough with this facility when we called to schedule an appointment for one of our children to be seen and they told me that the Dr. was no longer seeing children. RIDICULOUS!! this is a FAMILY PRACTICE!!! (so i thought!) I then called administration and the director and the Dr. denied that! This place used to be good years ago, but now it is absolutely horrible. I called on July 26th and made an appointment for August 9th, I explained the appointment was for my thyroid and cholesterol and that I would like to have the blood work done prior to the appointment so if the medication I take needed to be increased I could discuss it with Dr. Nayyar. I received a call back a few minutes later from one of the staff letting me know that she would call me back later that day or the next morning to advise me that the paper work had been submitted to the Lab. I called back on July 28th and was told that the paper work was sent to the Dr. as urgent but he had not signed it. This Dr. is arrogant and rude and treats female's like they are stupid.Today is Aug. 4th and I called and cancelled my appointment, I have an appointment with a Dr. not associated with Sun Life Ghetto care. I WLL NEVER GO BACK, I already had a bad experience with a female PA and now this... read more

never ever use sunlife health center. they never get paperwork done for ins and keep billing and billing and billing when you have submitted ins info over and over and over and over. you finally give up and pay the bill as you fear it will go to your credit report. mary jane in billing is horrible and does not do her job tells me when i call when getting the bill and it was supposed to be submitted to ins "i have a huge pile of paperwork on my desk and i will get to it when it get to it" two years later you are still calling wondering why they never submitted your insurance info. now they use an excuse for this non professional behavior of not doing their job and tell me that because it is past 180 days of the visit they cannot submit it anymore. well if you would have done your job i would have my money back. and not to mention the insurance fraud that they double bill codes. they reversed the one my ins caught last year but they refuse to pay me back for the over charge they billed me and for what should have already been billed to ins. for all those who dont pay attention to your bills i would as you are probably being double charged under different cpt codes for the same service. that is fraud!!!! never never never never use sun life! there is plenty more dr offices out there! and they go through doctors like toilet paper.. every year there is someone new and you get no consistency and they want you to see the new one before they will cont your scripts that are for a year form the last one when you need a refill. my ins only pay for one visit a year. horrible service and no one does their job....and Mary Jane likes to blame fellow coworkers for her negligence. read more
