Mixed emotions about this place. The hygienist was great. I received three fillings and after almost a month I still have pain not sure if that's normal. My main issue is they tried doing an unnecessary procedure. Make sure to ask questions when going over the dental plan. The only reason I gave one star was because some of the girls in the office are very nice and friendly. But if you want issues with billing and no one returning your phone calls for weeks on end, then by all means go here. This hasn't been a very good experience so far. I took my mother to an appointment yesterday was scheduled for 1 wasn't even called to the back for almost an hour. Our dental tech was amazing very professional and friendly. Waited to speak to the Business manager for about 30 more minutes. Took my mother home finally after 4 I called them to ask for a price quoted 3k. I asked the "business manager" about the new patient promo for $299 each informed she was unaware of that promo. i went there like last month, they told me i had beginning stage of periodontal disease, need scaling & root planing (a deep clean), i had a lot of cavities & need a root canal & cap on one of my far back teeth. they mentioned that if I didn't take care of these problems & the gum disease progressed it would result in my teeth falling out! I thought this was very odd because I brush 2x a day at least, floss & use mouthwash everyday as well, also when they were doing sensitivity test on my teeth, nothing hurt or felt cold/sensitive like it should have if my teeth were as bad as they made it seem. after xrays, exam & speaking with the billing lady, i was quoted 8k+ worth of dental work. she took away one of the procedures & showed me it would still be 5k. I had to go get more opinions & visited two different dentist who said im not even at the stage of needing deep cleaning (scaling/root planing) & i most definitely don't have gum / periodontal disease not even beginning stages. & the tooth that needed a root canal & cap so badly, either just needs a filling or pulled all together whichever i decide. Aspen only wants money & is willing to do unnecessary treatments & give misdiagnoses to get it. no wonder they offer free consults. because they try charging an arm & a leg later. steer clear. read more

I called and visited numerous times and was almost always told that I'd hear back from somebody within two business days. Every time I was told that, I didn't hear back from them, so I continued to initiate contact. When I did speak to somebody regarding the fact that they owe me almost $100, they told me that it was pending, they would check into it and they would call me back. Again, I would have to contact them if I wanted any answers. I don't know whether the financial gal is ignorant to insurance matters, or if they are being told to do whatever they can to keep from paying customers what they are owed. If I could make a minus rating I would. We moved to WA this summer. Had implanted put in on east coast in May. Vancouver sent me to Happy valley so oral surgeon could plan exposure. That appointment was in Sept. They don't use zimmer implants I had so needed to order the parts. Now it November that was 42 days ago. After calls and emails (no response last 2) no resolution. Fed up and made appointment with another oral surgeon who can take care of me next week. The office manager in incompetent and if she was my employee I would at least write her up with a action plan or fire her. They are out several $1000 in revenue because she didn't do her job. read more

I have never had a good experience here, and would rate negative stars if possible. I started going there ~3 years ago. The doctor (at that time, i have not seen him there since 2018) was extremely rude, shaming me for how I live my life (drinking soda). Convinced me I needed multiple crowns, now I do not believe i actually needed them. The prep part was okay i guess, until they put in my permanent crowns. They did not seat one correctly, with a gap at the bottom. They also shoved one of the crowns in so bad that now my teeth are crooked. While putting in my permanents, continued to shame me again. Time went on, and last year they told me I needed more crowns, one on each side of my mouth. I made the appointment to get one of them done (they refused to do both at once), they said it would take about an hour and a half. I show up, fill out all of the paperwork, for the tooth i asked to start with. They take the impression of the opposite side of my mouth, so I mention it should be the other side. The dentist comes in and just refuses to do the one i was planning on and had scheduled. She just repeatedly told me no, with absolutely no explanation as to why not, just repeatedly saying no. It took her almost four hours to do one crown prep. So i go to get the permanent put on, and this time I see the head doctor. I ask him why she had refused to do it, all he would say is "I wasn't there so i don't know" over and over. So he looks at my chart and says that he'll be putting on my permanent crown for tooth 14 AND 15, except tooth 15 is the one she refused to do, and did another one instead. She put in my chart that she did 14 and 15, when she really did tooth 2. So now, my new dentist may have to fight my insurance company due to the incompetence of this female dentist. They won't pay for tooth 15 to get a crown because they've already been billed for it, when it was a completely different tooth. I will NEVER recommend aspen to ANYONE ever again. read more

STAY AWAY! I was told to avoid Aspen Dental to begin with due to the fact that they paralyzed my brothers mouth AND pulled the wrong tooth. Which he is now waiting on a settlement for DENTAL WORK! Does that sound right? For my experience here it started off very proffesional with the women who handle all the paperwork in the front. Although these women were wearing hands free headsets like they were some help center for a company that sells magazines. Regarldess I gave it a shot. The girl who took my xrays tossed me around while constantly pulling this instrument out of my mouth and adjusting it and then cramming it back in my mouth. Then i moved onto my check up. They worked like a nascar pit crew where i was moved into a segregated area of the many just like i was getting my pil changed at some sketchy car shop. They dug around in my mouth calling out numbers which i would later find out those numbers were all just big plots for them to make money! The Dentist came in and to be honest i felt embarrassed as he told me how awful my smile looked as he suggested invisalign braces and whitening procedures. Showing me models of how my teeth SHOULD look. Even as he spoke with me after the check up he continued to tell me how even while talking he can see my bottom teeth are beginning to crowd. So after waiting an hour to be insulted I was taken to an office where a woman sat. Felt much like a bank in there as it should. She slid a paper in front of me that had an amount of nearly NINE thousand dollars... I have incredible insurance which covered nearly $6,000 of it but that meant the rest was out of pocket! After she informed me that no procedures can be done until full payment is received she handed me a pamphlet that had payment options and suggested there CARE CREDIT which has an interest rate of 14.9%! She told me how easy the process was, just sign here and here and we will know instantly if youre accepted. I was informed after by a friend who used to work there that regardless of whether or not ur accepted or declined they receive a BONUS just for running your info. This is probably some of the worst customer service of any dentist I have been at. On my very first appointment, I was turned away after arriving saying that they were shortstaffed and needed to reschedule. Then after committing to getting a new bridge, they quoted me a certain price since I don't have dental insurance but when arriving, they charged me much, much more! When I questioned the price they promised that the lady in charge of quoting me prices would call me back... but she never did. After having the bridge work set up, I needed to come in for my next appointment which had already been scheduled but again when I came in for the appointment, they again said they weren't ready for me and that they had tried to call me to let me know. I never received a phone call! The only phone call/text I received was a confirmation call for the appointment!!!! Before I left after turning me away, they said they would get in touch with me as soon as they were ready. Never did!!!! So now I'm ready to switch dentists but I have to complete this bridge work so I decided to call them back and ask if they were ready for me yet. They said yes and we set up the appointment. Now it's the day of the appointment and I'm going through the mail and noticed I received a letter saying that it was my responsibility to complete the appointment and if I didn't call them back in five days to set it up, they would start charging me extra fees until I completed the work. If I could give Aspen Dental negative stars I would. I can't speak for their other locations but the location on Edgewood Road was terrible. I don't like giving places bad reviews but my mother-in-law's experience was so horrible that I felt compelled to let other people know...avoid this place like the plague. We were excited because this was one of the few places that would take her dental insurance, or so they told us on the phone. After her appointment they said she needed over $6700 worth of work in crowns and she had terrible gingivitis and Surprise!.....nothing was "covered" by her insurance but don't worry they said...you can go on this payment plan and everything will work great. Anyway, to make a long story short... she got a second opinions and Suprise!! She didn't need any of the work. Moral of the story, take your teeth somewhere else. read more

Everyone is very friendly and professional. The exam was thorough and precise. I appreciate the system they have in place there, organized and efficient. The only thing I would suggest is that for new patients there is a lot of paperwork required before you get started. My appointment was at 1pm and didn't complete the paperwork until 30 minutes or so after my appointment was scheduled. My only suggestion is that the workers there notify new patients before they arrive of this to prepare accordingly and bring all required documentation. read more

Use extreme caution when dealing with Aspen Dental! They are VERY VERY misleading with their billing they give you the feeling that they are being up front and totally honest the whole time they have their hand in your pocket. during my visit I decided since they were talking about so much money it would be in my best interest to get a second opinion I am so glad I did They quoted me a root canal and a crown a procedure I have been through before and their price was what I thought was way high so I went elsewhere to find out I did not need all the work they claimed and was able to get by with a $130.00 filling the cavity was so small I was in and out in 30 mins. Where the deceit comes in is I wanted to pay for my exam out of pocket and they were happy to accommodate me and even give me a cash discount it wasn't until later that I found out they also charged my insurance company what they did is legal but very shady they allowed me to pay a small portion of the bill out of pocket giving me the impression that I had paid the entire bill and then charge my insurance company the balance including the discount they gave me now understand my Dental Insurance has no co-pay or deductible and they were fully aware of this and I made it perfectly clear I did not want my insurance company billed I wanted to retain that money for when I actually got the work done and if not for very diligent examination of my insurance statement I would have never known. so what they are doing is legal it is very shady use extreme caution with these people even when I had to talk to them on the phone I kept one hand on my wallet. Customer service is not their priority your dental health is definitely more of an after thought when dealing with them call around after getting their quote and see how bad they are ripping people off do not fall into their pressure to make a decision while sitting in the chair. You have to question their technique of how they entice you in with the promise of so many free services for first visit ask yourself how do they recover that money. This whole thing is over $50.00 money I would have gladly paid they were not at all willing to work with me in any capacity to resolve this issue. Although I was finally seen it took almost an hour of sitting in the chair for a 10 minute visit. Then to wait again for almost 45 min to get an estimate for a tooth extraction that my insurance will not cover (not their fault) Then had to pay the bill in full for work not done until Feb. The estimate was based on me needing to have sinus work done if the tooth is embedded in the sinus cavity. I asked if the work was not as extensive would i be refunded and got a probably not answer. The bill was almost 800.00 for one tooth. Not happy with the cost. I will ask for a detailed report when finished. read more

This office will insist that it needs your social security number in order to contact your insurance company even if you give them your group and member id. I checked with my insurance provider and this is not true. I tried not to give them my SS# but they insisted and gave me the impression that I would not receive services unless I did. I feel this is fraudulent and dishonest. Thee workers indicated that they needed my SS#. I'll have to check my credit report to see if they checked my credit. The experience at Aspen Dental was very impersonal. I felt like an animal herded from one room for x-rays to another room for x-rays to another room for blood pressure check. A new person checked my gums. The dentist telling me of all the work I needed done and then I speak to someone about how much everything can cost and THEN I can make an appointment for a cleaning on another date. The work suggested was regarding an issue that was present since I was a teenager and never bothered me. I've had decades of seeing different dentists, none of which had ever mentioning this as an issue. They do what they can to make money and will tell you you need that you may not need. DO NOT GO HERE. If I could give 0 stars I would. My significant other went in for a routine checkup and cleaning. He was told that he had to get 5 teeth pulled immediately because they were broken. They said it needed to be done that day. This was a Friday and we were planning to leave on vacation later that afternoon so he asked if he would still be ok to go and enjoy the weekend. They told him he would be completely fine after 2 hours and would be able to do everything we had planned on. Neither of us have had any teeth pulled and didn't know what to expect so we trusted them. After the procedure they told him he would be in a lot of pain for about a week and prescribed pain medication. I'm not sure why they lied and told him he would be fine because it completely ruined our vacation. If they knew he would need pain medication they should not have told him he would be able to drink alcohol 2 hours after the procedure. They also didn't take into consideration that he was on blood thinners because he bled for days after the procedure. They just wanted our money. It felt like a sleazy used car salesmans office. $3000 later I feel completely taken advantage of. I wish we would have gotten a second option because I doubt any of it needed to be done. He was also told that he needed to see one of their specialists because he had a laceration on his cheek which might be cancer. He told them he would feel more comfortable seeing a specialist his primary physician recommended. He had that appointment today and his doctor told him there is absolutely nothing on his cheek that even closely resembles cancer. His doctor told him never to go back to aspen dental. Its obvious they are dishonest and just looking to make money by any means necessary. If its too late and you have already had any work done at aspen make sure you look over your billing because they will add things that shouldn't be in there and hope you don't notice. I never write reviews but felt the need to here because no medical office should perform unnecessary procedures or refer people to their specialists by scaring them into thinking they have cancer just to make money. read more

So far I have had dentures for over 20 years. I paid over 10K to get the clip on dentures. Not happy at all. The dentures feel and look cheap they stain every day...Within the 1st 3 months one of my top right tooth fell out. That's when I really knew these dentures are cheap for 10K bill. My bottoms have never fit right. I have sore spots and have to go in on my lunch to get 3 minute's of work done. I have a sore spot in the same place from day one. I called on a Monday morning July 17th told them I was in pain could not eat because the sore hurt to bad. They told me the next date would be July 27th. That's 10 days of complete torture that I went to my dentist crying on the 5th day and wanted him so bad to just grind down or what ever he had to do because I could not take the thought of going through the week end with this pain. He did not want to knowing the warranty for my dentures would no be granted. He told me to rinse with salt water to avoid a infection. Tomorrow is my appointment after 10 days of hell, I am going to ask for money back for pain and suffering.. Awful! A bunch of crooked workers here. My husband and I, new to the area, needed to schedule a vist. We should have known not schedule a visit with a chain. The dentist here claimed my husband had 3 cracked teeth and needed two fillings. My husband knew he had a possible issue with one tooth so we paid thinking that was the tooth he was going to get worked on (and now our current dentist said our teeth are in great condition). Anyhow, 2 years later, my husband had been experiencing horrible tooth pain. Come to find out after his visit with our current dentist (we had a bad hunch about Aspen), that the Aspen dentist crowned a perfectly good tooth. Thank goodness we left! Even their front desk person moved to a different place! Also, they wouldn't get me in for a emergency visit, they said they don't make room for those. Thank goodness I swapped appointments with my husband to get in a week and a half later for a root canal! In addition to that, they never prescribed me the antibiotic for it! Ugh!
