However, the…read moregal in the business office, I did not catch her name, told me to my face with my husband present that my dental insurance did not cover extractions. She told me I would need a payment for $643.34 the day of the surgery at my consultation. I was surprised my insurance did not cover extractions. Today, I got an explanation of benefits from Anthem and they DID cover a portion of my bill for the extraction. I called to ask them why they told me I wasn't covered and this gal, the same one I saw in the beginning, proceeded to over talk me, wouldn't listen, would not admit that I was told I wasn't covered and then with the insurance agent on the line, hung up on me. They have just lost a patient. I will continue my healing process elsewhere and I will let someone else get the money. I am 66 yrs old and do not appreciate being treated this way. Waited over 25 min. for doctor to come in as the nurse said he was doing a consult. WTH?! I elected to have sedation because I'm extremely nervous and then to make me wait so he can do a consult is totally unacceptable. Will NOT be back as all they care about is making money.

I was really really anxious. I was straight back to a girl who showed me my insurance benefits and I made the payment. Then I walked back and looked over the beautiful pond. They were pretty efficient to get me right to sleep which I was thankful for. I woke up and they wheeled me to the car where my guest picked me up. I was thankful for their care and I was mostly pain free.

I was not told this initial figures were estimates based on insurance acceptance. They were very rude with me when I asked about this. I paid it but they lost a customer. I tried to contact Dr Westlund but the office staff would not allow me to speak to him, I messaged him on face book and he did not respond. Beware!!!

I was referred by a clinic to this dentist office. I go for my appointment, mind you it's my first…read moretime here....the assistant takes X-rays of my mouth, the doctor came out so rude saying "he needs to get this tooth removed today he has been wasting my time". I'm confused and look at the assistant, I tell her this is my first time here....she has to go find the doctor to tell him that, I hear him going back and forth with her swearing that he has seen my X-rays already....mind you it's my first time here... So he comes back around to my cubicle and doesn't even apologize just tells me to put my head back and digs in my mouth, then walks off without a word.... He sends the assistant back to tell me unfortunately the doctor smells "weed" on me and won't be able to see me any further and proceeds to tell me that they will refer me to the college of dental in Coralville.I don't even smoke "weed"... I was the only African American there and I feel like I was racially profiled and treated unfairly by Dr Safabakhsh. I'm not sure how he knew me or even seen any of my labs if it was my first time at that office.... I felt like he didn't want to see me or care for me because of my skin color.
