Honestly if I would have read the reviews here before my visit, I probably wouldn't have come... I had a fantastic visit. Everyone was super friendly, and I didn't wait any longer than I would at any other medical/dental office. The hygienist was nice, however I was a little skeptical as to how someone could be so excited to clean teeth...., kinda funny and awesome at the same time. My exam was done with Dr. Haynes. WOW!!! She was super professional and thorough..I asked lots of questions and she truly seemed concerned and interested in resolving some of my issues. The office manager was nice...she broke down my insurance and scheduled the cleaning/ fillings I needed. Then I saw the reviews. Honestly I was terrified to go back and contemplated canceling my appointments, but my insurance had limited options for offices. I returned, and had my fillings done with Dr. Haynes...let me tell you it was THE MOST PAINLESS injection I've ever had and she was sooo nice and patient with my anxiety. I left the office relieved and SUPER confused about why my visit may have been different than some...,I dunno, maybe they changed staff, or their approach...but for what its worth, I would give these guys a chance!!! I had a very disappointing experience at Aspen Dental. From the moment I walked in, the clinic had an unpleasant smell that made it feel unclean. The dentist came across as cold, blunt, and even somewhat rude, showing little concern for patient comfort or communication. The focus was more on making money than providing genuine care. This place is a total scam. Read all of the other 1 star reviews and you'll see a common theme: Aspen Dental values taking your money over providing quality dental care. My son is a student at Texas A&M and he was in need of a cleaning because he hasn't been able to get back to our family dentist this summer. He has beautiful perfect teeth (thanks to braces) and has never had so much as a cavity. So I found an office which is in our insurance network and sent him there. He told me they looked at his teeth for 5 minutes and then took him into a private room to do their sales pitch. They told him he has gingivitis and recommended his wisdom teeth be removed. He had the good sense to text his mom who told him to hold off on everything but the cleaning. In the end he spent over 2 hours there and never got the cleaning. Instead, they sold him on a 2 day cleaning process for $175 (that's with insurance) which is $100+ more than what I pay for a routine cleaning with the same insurance. I cannot believe they would take advantage of a college kid like this. Totally unethical. The only upside is that he learned a valuable life lesson: There are some shameless greedy people in the world who will try and take advantage of one's trust and good nature. read more

I am so disappointed and upset with the service and treatment that I received from Dr. Kimberly N. Haynes License #28508 and her staff. I first saw Dr. Haynes for Invisalign treatment in February 2024 and after 3 rounds of revisements my teeth are still not corrected. And, on top of that, a tooth cracked and broke off during treatment that I was asked to pay to fix. I was told to go home and wait for a call back for my next appointment for revisements but here we are a month later and the office staff is dodging my calls. After 9 attempted calls and getting hung up on, I finally talk to the Office Manger and I can hear laughter in the background. I still didn't get a new appointment and have had old brackets from the previous trays left on my teeth with no offer for them to be removed or any mention of a next appointment or refund. I have never experienced such deception, dishonesty and disrespect from a place that is meant to help people but instead I have been taken advantage of to get as much money out of me as possible. read more

My mom had paid online before we had gotten there for about $20 and they didn't have it in the system so I had to call my mom again to confirm that I had paid online and then all they did was take pictures of my teeth didn't even do a cleaning took too long to get to my teeth and said that I didn't give them enough time because I had to go to work when I came at 9 AM and they made me wait for at least an hour before they even got to the option for a cleaning whole time I went for a cleaning just for them to tell me that I didn't give them enough time to even though I was there all morning. All I basically did was sit in the chair and watch the TV until a doctor came in and asked me about the last time. I went to the dentist and that I should floss more. But I didn't even get to talk to the actual doctor until the very end when I told them I had to leave at a certain time, but it seemed like they waited until the very end for the dentist to come in so he could tell me that he couldn't work on my teeth. Then tried to charge me $8000 to get my wisdom teeth taken out after I told them I just came in for a cleaning and then after that they tried to charge me $4000 which was insane and at the end of the day, I still never got my teeth cleaned so I had to go to the dentist to get that done even though that's all I came in for the first time absolutely ridiculous. And top it all off they try to tell me I had eight cavities and when I went back home to my home dentist, he told me I had zero cavities so they basically lied to me read more

The worst experience I have ever had at a place of business. I was there for over 2.5 hours, they didn't even clean my teeth which is what I was there for. They tried to charge me for things I specifically said no to, they were not helpful, not informative, and not kind. Literally ruined my entire day and was the worst 2.5 hours of my life. Absolutely a terrible visit. Apparently new patients have to wait more than 2 hours to be seen by the dentist. They treated me for about 15 min and it was only a dental examination for my commissioning. On top of that they tried to say I had a cavity and scam me for about $250+ more for a treatment without going into detail about anything. Operation Lead, Sierra Falco, was quick to be passive aggressive as well once we figured out what she was trying to do. Btw if they call you, it is just to confirm your appointment, not go into detail about anything. Do not recommend to anyone and I am not going back at all. First, their payment plan is a credit card. My assumption is that they earn a commission on how many people they get to sign up for the card because the little celebration the woman that made me sign up for it did was ridiculous. Second, they tried to overcharge me for a proceedure because they decided that they needed to use more than what the agreed upon proceedure had recommended. Then, the bill for those materials was sent almost a year later and they expected me to pay it and tried to send me to collections when I refused. I went to Aspen to get a consultation on the clear aligners. I was told I have six cavities. I explained to them that I have a family dentist that I see regularly & that I had an appointment coming up with him that I would discuss the fillings with. I was told I had to get the fillings done at Aspen because otherwise they would not believe I actually got them done. I had my appointment with my regular dentist less than a month later & had ZERO cavities. They were gonna charge me over $500 for dental work I did not need. read more

This place is a scam. My brother had his first visit two weeks ago was told he had gingivitis and had to pay a whole lot of money to fix it and come back. Surprising it only took one check up and he no longer had gingivitis. One of my best friends was also told she had gingivitis on her first visit and had to do the same thing. I had my first appointment this week and it took them nearly two hours to quickly look over my teeth and tell me I also had gingivitis. I've taken my husband here twice now. The first time he had to get all his teeth removed. He was really nervous and wanted me back there cause he was getting panicked and asked the nurse who spoke terrible English and she flat out ignored him. He felt pain during the surgery because they didnt numb him enough, and he had to go back again because they messed up the first time. This time around we asked again if I could go back and the same nurse again said no, meanwhile we saw a couple go back together 5 min earlier. She's very rude and I'm not impressed. I wouldn't recommend and once they are done fixing what they need to fix we will be going elsewhere. read more

Do NOT go to this place. My 17 yr old has been going to the dentist regularly since he was 2. Never had any issues other than a filling for a dead tooth. We had to find a new adult dentist for him and this place took our insurance and had an opening when we needed it. We walked in for a cleaning, xrays, and exam, and walked out with a $7,000 bill for 2 fillings, a crown on the previous tooth with a filling, a night guard (never before has his dentist mentioned needing this), and all 4 wisdom teeth needing extraction. All this after the dentist examined his mouth for 10 minutes, pointing out things to the assistant, while never once showing us the xrays or even doing a cleaning. Apparently, this was the one day his hygienist wasn't there? They didn't have anyone else available? They made an appointment for his wisdom teeth removal 5 days from the appointment with no pre-op consult, no showing us the xrays, and no information other than just show up and we'll pull 4 teeth. Did he even need all 4 pulled? Mentioned if the surgeon (who is only there once per month) didn't do it that day, it would be another month. No referrals to another oral surgeon in case he needed to have the teeth removed at another time if we couldn't make that appointment. I went home and struggled so much with it that I ended up canceling everything and going somewhere else. This place is nothing but a cash grab. read more

Came for an appointment waited 30 minutes past the appointment time with no progress on verifying insurance. Told them to reschedule me. Came a second time did xrays prepaid for services and came back for my 3rd time in like 5 days. They scheduled me at 130pm when there lunch hours are between 1-2. 2 other people tried to enter and writing this review while in the parking lot. Don't schedule appointments during your lunch hours. The hygienist was kind of rude asked her how often people did the in office $500 whitening and she said her dad does it once every 3 months. Must be doing it for free or something not a really good reference point. Overall interaction between hygienist and scheduler pretty poor. Dentist was nice. read more

Terrible, awful service. I 1000% do not recommend. I had a wisdom tooth removed and a root canal. The doctor "forgot" to submit my prescriptions after my oral surgery. When I called the pharmacy, the tech replied that "Oh ya, they do that." They never answer the phone. Ever. I drove myself back the next morning and the Office Manager got an attitude when I was explaining my situation. I was trying to explain that there is no emergency contact for after hours and if they are closed. Rudest medical customer service I've ever experienced. Absolutely stay away. I was pressured to stop my invisalign treatment before my teeth were even straight. I was told if I I did not get two crowns, one of which I do not think I needed they would not give me my retainers that I already paid for. They are not an ethical company. As of writing this I still can't get them to give me a copy of my billing. They are not charging contact prices as listed on my EOB from my insurance. It's a nightmare. My first time at aspen dental was interesting to say the least. The girl at the front desk was so rude and telling me that I don't have dental insurance and that she couldn't fine it only to come back in the middle of my appointment and tell me she found it. Anyways, I actually got seen pretty fast and went straight to the xray machine the girl doing the X-rays was sweet but when I couldn't get my nose ring out the manager came over and was so rude to me. Then I went to have my teeth looked at and the hygienist was super nice but the dentist didn't explain or tell me anything, he just talked to the dental assistant who was talking so fast I could barely understand her. So I went to the office to get my bill and it was $8,500, AFTER the discount from insurance. She informed me that I had cavities, gingivitis, needed my wisdom teeth out and needed Invisalign. So I called today to schedule my appointment for my cavities and they informed me that I would have to see the hygienist before getting my cavities taken care of AND I would have to pay at least half before I could schedule the appointment. So I called another dentist office and made an appointment and they told me I would need to get those X-rays so I tried calling aspen dental back 7 TIMES and they will not answer me. It's a cash grab. They are so incredibly rude. And I will not be returning. And you won't either if you want to save yourself a headache read more

My husband had an 8:00 appointment. By 9:45, the only thing the office was able to accomplish was X-rays and an exam when he was coming in for a cleaning, and had to schedule an additional appointment to accomplish that. By comparison, a visit of the same nature took me an hour and fifteen minutes at another dentist's office. I had a 4:00 appointment where I verified insurance twice over the phone and again in the office when I arrived. Sat until 4:50 when I cancelled my appointment. read more

Over two years later and my jaws are so butchered up my real dentist has told me the work Aspen did was so lazy. So much not done and now my gums are even with my jaw line. Major reconstruction surgery is needed. And since I paid so much money to Aspen it's something I'll never be able to have done. By the way, two dentists I went to after Aspen refused to even attempt fixing what they did. I did find one that is doing the best he can with what he has to work with and has been great. Scheduled a last minute appointment to see if they could help me with my wisdom teeth because I hadn't eaten in 3 days from the pain. Turned me away because I had my 3yr old with me. I'm a single mom with no one and no babysitter, I work from home. Wouldn't even let him just stand outside the doorway of the X-ray room. I will say the RDA, Jennifer was very sweet, and the dentist, Dr. Cole was nice. Dylan the office manager was also very friendly. I'm also going to preface and say, yes I did need to be more thorough in my brushing and flossing. I will also say I've used the same type of tooth brush since I was in middle school (so 10 years), and I brush twice a day. My pediatric dentist never ever said this as when I was a patient, so I was surprised Aspen dental brought this up. The Dental hygienist Monica, first of all asks me what type of tooth brush I use. I say "medium bristles" and she says "Oh no sweetie, you need to use an electric toothbrush." In a condescending manner. I then ask if there's an alternative and she says a brush with softer bristles, which I think implied to her that I wasn't going to transition to an electric toothbrush. She then looks at my teeth and of course my gums bleed. She then says "I can't clean this today, your gums are messed up." Again, I've been brushing my teeth the same way for ten years, but okay. The dentist comes, tells me I have the early stages gingivitis. Okay, cool. I go to Dylan to get my billing statement. Monica has added an electric tooth brush on my bill! I literally asked her if there was an alternative to an electric! I tell Dylan I don't want the electric tooth brush, so he takes it off, and he made a little joke about it, so that made me feel slightly better. At this point though, I was really nervous, so I didn't take any other charges off because I wasn't sure what I needed and what I didn't. I then scheduled another appointment for my dental cleaning. The thing with this place is you have to schedule two separate appointments for a check up and a cleaning. My original total for all this (and I do have insurance) was $150! I call the next day and tell Dylan I don't want the gingivitis treatment plan, I want a normal cleaning. He says the office can't do that because of policy (risk management i'm guessing). I ended up getting the price down to $80 for a specific gingivitis cleaning. I'm frustrated with the dental hygienist and how weird she was about the electric tooth brush thing and my gums. I think she could've been a lot nicer about my toothbrush type too. I'm almost certain they are trying to get extra money by saying you have unhealthy gums (when a majority of people's gums bleed when at the dentist) so you have to pay more than what insurance covers. I will not be returning after Monica's weird attitude and these extra charges. Gingivitis is a real thing, but I think I've had the "early stages" of it for a while now. If you're a college kid, looking for a dentist away from your hometown, I wouldn't recommend this place, ESPECIALLY if this is your first time going to the dentist outside of your hometown. read more

My husband went in and they diagnosed him without a cleaning or even a thorough check because the next time he went back they had a completely different diagnosis. Every single step of scheduling from start to finish has been a hassle and he's never been seen the original time he took off work and went in. They did have him start treatment (once again without actually looking at him) and were happy to charge us for that. Now we want to transfer his records and it's been two weeks with their system down, not being able to call, and their systems getting hacked. Went in for one service, then was told I need two fillings, which was fine. However, I never went to the appointment for the two fillings because I had something happen. They never called or said anything - then submitted a claim to my insurance for the services that were never provided, then sent the $40 balance to a debt collection agency. Not worth it. Disappointed and frustrated is what best describes my visit to College Station Texas. I went to get a teeth cleaning before getting some needed work done on my teeth. I have insurance and two free teeth cleanings a year, so I found it strange that I would be charged $386.00 upon checking in. I was shown to the chair and a water/sonic devise attempted to remove plaque from my teeth. It didnt work, as a matter a fact my choking and coughing from made the hygienist decide to manually scrape them clean. I was given a fluoride treatment and sent on my way. As I left I asked if there was any other charges and was told my insurance would be billed. If that were the case why did I have to pay $386.00 before services were rendered. Imagine my suprise when I got a bill in the mail a month later for an additional $425.00, and that he total cost of the cleaning was $1147.00. The bill was fortunately itemized and I saw that they used $571.00 of antibiotics, as part of the bill. did I mention that I only have 5 teeth!?! When I visited the office the day after receiving the bill a young woman answered the door and brought me in side. When I explained that I thought the bill was extremely exorbitant and did she feel that their business practices were predatory she just smiled and said that's the way we do things in this office. Then went on to tell me that it is my responsibility to call my insurance company and get them to cover the remaining $425.00. Do NOT go here! They want as much of your money and that if your Insurance company as they can get. $1147.00 / 5 teeth = 229.00 per tooth to clean. read more

I have severe high blood pressure, and the doctor and associate, showed so much care and compassion in my overall health. Making sure to constantly stop to make sure I'm okay and my blood pressure was good. I will only use Aspen Dental and refer to everyone. I went to Aspen Dental on March 25, 2019 and paid my co-pay for a crown to be replace. They did some prep work (build up and impressions) and sent them off to the lab. In the meantime they gave me a temp crown. Immediately, the next day, the temp crown disintegrated, so I go back the next day for another one. That one fell apart within four hours. Being that I don't have time to go to the dentist everyday, I waited for the crown to come in (two weeks). Upon going to have the crown put in they chipped it. So they said they were going to send off for a new one and in the meantime put the chipped one in. Two days later it fell out so go back to get it put back in. In the ensuing month I have left numerous phone calls and left messages with NO response. The crown falls out last Friday and I finally get in the next Tuesday during my lunch. Talk to the office manager by phone and she blames it on the lab and they are waiting to hear from them. Meanwhile the receptionist says there is no record of another crown being ordered. Waited 45 minutes had to go back to work. I left and this after telling them my root canal is exposed, my tooth and jaw have been throbbing since Sunday. What do I have to do to get this situation fixed?? I called to reschedule, now 2 days later, meanwhile I know I have an infection. When I spoke with them last and said the way I have been treated I don't even want to come back, their response was well go see another dentist. DO NOT go here, this is so unacceptable. My insurance has already paid and I have run out of insurance for the year. Just to let everyone know I have never had to leave a bad review and this has been an awful experience. read more
