Yes, it is true that this issue has been resolved. Thank you. I just wish it did not take 17 months.

I called Piedmont Dental in Duluth to establish care for myself, my husband, and my daughter, and…read morethe experience was very disappointing. From the start of the call, the woman I spoke with had a rude and dismissive tone. When I asked if they were accepting new patients, she immediately focused on insurance and stated that they don't accept many plans and that many are out of network. When I shared our insurance information, she told me I needed to check with my insurance company. I explained that my husband had already confirmed they are in-network, but her tone became even more rude after that. She asked what we were looking for, and I explained that I'm currently having tooth pain and that we were also looking to establish routine care for my husband and daughter starting with cleanings. Throughout the conversation, she acted irritated and uninterested, as if she didn't want to be on the phone. She eventually stated that they are not scheduling new patients until August or September. Considering it is currently January, being told that cleanings and establishing care would be 7 months out was surprising. While availability is one thing, the lack of professionalism and poor communication made the experience even more frustrating. Overall, the interaction made it feel like new patients are not welcome. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one was not a good one.

If you want your mouth to look like this after getting your teeth pulled there in one day for "same…read moreday dentures" then go there!! Otherwise RUN!!!! the what that you see in the pic.is bone. YES! Jagged bone from his tool grinding in my gums over and over while pulling out posts on the other side from a root canal he had also done that had went to poop!!!! He told me this was just dry socket. Second opinion could not believe this work!!!

Wow. So unprofessional. Please do NOT waste your time at this office. I have been rescheduled since…read moreAug 14th, rescheduled to September 5, rescheduled for Oct. 31 and knowing it's Halloween today I had a feeling he would once again, cancel on me. He did. Now it's in February on my birthday, given no choice as to time, day, etc but when I asked to change it I was told "how lucky I am that he squeezed me in before April!" I guess he "pushed all his fillings back months" I told them how I had been rescheduled for months now and soon it won't be a filling it will be a root canal, it is hurting that side of my mouth. And since I am in pain, woodland family dental suggested, The ONLY option for me after months of waiting and be rescheduled on is for me to call the COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER, every single day starting at 8 am and hope that they could get me in one day. While I pay private insurance, payed off all bills to woodland family dental of course they are going to treat me like this. They don't need my money anymore!! I would maybe understand if he had an emergency but his techs told me he went golfing once. The second time he just left early...I'm outraged that he's out golfing while I'm in so much pain, and they try to reassure me, it won't be that long, since I'm on the "cancellation list" HA. More like the list to cancel on. This place is beyond unprofessional and if anywhere else in town would accept a new patient I would leave in a heartbeat. I even tried driving to two harbors!! There's so much more to this place that makes me incredibly uncomfortable but that was just the cherry on top. The dentist makes me so nervous because he doesn't seem to care, and acts very ignorant, as if he knows it all. Last root canal he broke my tooth into pieces, right after he said he could save it. So then he gave no other option but to pull it. I understand that happens sometimes I guess.. but I was not offered a fake tooth, crown, implant, etc. Last appointment I was panicking because I could feel pain and the tooth or nerves as he worked on it, even with the lidocaine, and he didn't seem to believe me. The original plan was to put me asleep because of how anxious this all makes me. I was not sedated because after the 7th poke, he told me he's not a phlebotomist, and that he couldn't stick me again. He couldn't find my veins. So I went through all that, just to find out "oh well we have to start," no sedation for 2 root canals, and a separate tooth pulled after cracking it apart. The pain and his attitude were getting worse as time went on and the more I cried and my body just shook, eithier from pain or anxiety... I could tell he was beyond frustrated with me because I just wanted to get up and leave and kept begging him to let me, because it hurt so bad. We both definitely raised our voices at each other. I went to the restroom to calm myself down and as I returned he made some comment to me about having kids that have sat better than me. I hope he's not dealing with too many children. Ugh. Of course I was just an emotional wreck, embarrassed, in pain and was hoping to never come back to this office again.. so to find out it's the only place to go now really chaps my ***.This is the only really bad experience I've had in a health care setting, which says a lot.

I should have written this review long ago. My tendency, though, is always to tell "the whole…read morestory," and mine would be longish. So, I finally decided to listen to my boyfriend, who said, "You don't have to go back 12 or so years, when you first learned your mouth is as weird as the rest of you. Just start a couple years ago, and you might end up with something that doesn't have to be published by Simon and Schuster." So, here's an abridged version. I had a large torus palatinus, that I thought was normal -- until I needed an upper dental plate. Then I was surprised to learn that the bony growth in the roof of my mouth wasn't something everyone has! While an extraordinary dentist was building a plate around the torus, it started separating into two parts. Both were sore and inflamed, and had to be removed. Being a veteran, I have VA healthcare, and it's very good. However, it doesn't extend to dental work, and the dentist (Dr. Delf, of Arrowhead Dental in Rice Lake, WI) was going far beyond the call of duty, to support my remaining teeth, and build an exceptionally good upper plate -- without any charge to me! He sent me to Dr. Puffer, who was then practicing at Northern Oral Surgery and Implant Center, in Superior, WI. I just learned that he has retired, but I'm sending the review, anyway. Dr. Puffer did a great job for me, taking out the largest piece of torus right away, without any problem whatsoever. He removed the remaining portion later, and the healing time was fast. (This was something I'd been fearful of, because I'd long ago (12 or so years?) been told that my age might make the healing slow. Dr. Puffer did my surgery without charge, also, and I'm so grateful for that. Anyway, I'm glad for the doctor that he could retire, and I hope he's having a great time. But Superior lost a load of talent when he left. So, even though I'm late, I wanted to say thank you to Dr. Puffer, and everyone at Northern Oral Surgery.

A botched wisdom tooth removal caused permanent nerve damage. I had to invest in a red-light…read moretherapy device ($600) just to get any improvement. After multiple follow ups, days off of work for appointments, investment in the therapy device and not to mention the distress this caused me, Dr. Puffer wouldn't even consider waiving his portion of the bill (after insurance $494). I guess he needs the money more than I do? Now I'm left with seeing a nerve specialist to repair the damage. I can't speak to the entire practice, but I definitely don't recommend Dr. Puffer. This is just a small portion of the issues I had with this provider. Overall, very poor care from this place.
