Poor office. They have cancelled my cleaning appointment twice now when I took days off to go there. They don't care!!!!

I over paid aspen dental! l paid my portion of what was owed an l over sent them money. They're telling me they won't send my money back. And that not right I apid what l owed. Mot using them ever again read more

Aspen said I needed a root canal and crown. I got a second opinion and ended up with an overlay from a different dentist. No root canal was needed. Second dentist said root canal was unnecessary. 2 broken teeth Aspen Dental said would cost $7,064 to fix full price and $5,537 with a discount only cost me $1,784 to fix at a different dentist. I would recommend staying away from every Apen Dental location. By the way a different Aspen dental location in Warsaw, Indiana recommended the same root canal and crown treatment plan and I ate on the tooth for over 5 years and had no pain. read more

This practice is a joke and everything that has been said about it is true. The dentist is a clown who has no talent (clearly as he works at an Aspen Dental). Had a tooth extraction. My face hurts from the procedure. If i would've been prescribed something just a little stronger than a Motrin, I would've given 5 stars. I purposely do not take pain killers, like some people do recreationally. The reason why is that when I'm in pain I want the pain killer to work. This place doesn't prescribe narcotics after removing a body part. Although the staff are friendly, I'm sore as hell and fixing to find my own pain killers. For this reason alone, I will find a different dentist. read more

The Walmart of Dentists. -They called to try to reschedule my appointment when I was in the parking lot, about to walk into my appointment and were audibly irritated when I said no. -Did not understand a single word the woman who did my X-rays said. -My dentist walked in looking like he slept in his clothes, blurted out his name which I literally can not even remember, spent about two minutes looking at my teeth and walked away. -A suuuuper rude hygienist came in in order to do some kind of check on me so they could sell me other services totally unrelated to why I came in. When I said I didn't need to hear about that she said, and I Sh!t you not, "It's gonna happen". -They didn't send my antibiotic prescription to my pharmacy like they said they would. I had to call in to have that done after I left, at which point they their main concern was to see if I had any family members I could refer to them. This place is gross, unprofessional, rude and could care less about your teeth. Try to schedule an appointment with them and you will be amazed at how wide open their availability is. There is a reason for that. read more

I had a crown come off and a broken tooth that needed a crown. I live on SS and am on Medicaid. I told them I have no money and could only do what Medicaid covered. They told me the crowns where 100% covered and the cleaning would $18. They called a few days before the cleaning appointment and said it would cost 200 and something dollars out of my pocket. I told them I was told the above and they check and said what I was first told is correct. They changed my appointment for a week later. When I went in they then told me my cost would be $509 and after retelling what they first told me they stuck to the $509 of pocket it would cost me for a special cleaning that they said Medicaid would not cover. Needless to say I was very disappointed and cancel my appointment. The only conclusion I can come to is they are ether incompetent dishonest or both. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Had a sudden abscess on a tooth that was really painful. Friday is the day most dentists take off here so spent time looking for one. Aspen got me an appointment for which I was five minutes late due to traffic on the highway. Their clock is ten minutes fast so I was told I was 15 minutes late and they cancelled the appointment. Absolutely no work-around, no empathy. No suggestions for an alternate. Went to Destiny Dental and it was like night and day. Caring staff, quick response. Never going near Aspen again. read more

HORRIBLE!! I didn't know this place was a chain when I made the appt...but that is exactly what it is and it shows. everything was very rushed from the beginning, nothing was explained and when the dentist finally came in he was barely there 2 minutes, you could hardly understand him and he answered no questions. I have insurance, but they quoted me at over $3000!!! Claiming all sorts of stuff that needed done were not covered (how convenient!) the office manager was more sales then anything. I left having nothing done, made an appt with another dentist and an much happier for it (and so is my wallet, total cost at the other dentist for everything...$287!) read more

Didn't get far enough into this appointment to review how professional and good their work is. I called first of week, told them I wanted a cleaning, that I had no insurance, etc, she gave me the cost & she set me up with a time & I drove over there (45 min drive). At the desk, told her my name, and that I had appt for cleaning and that is when she informed me that they do NO procedures on the first visit!!!! She said they take an X-ray, then go over costs and set up my 2nd appt. so I walked out - I don't appreciate being tricked into an X-ray, consultation and then 2nd appt. should be up front about that during the first contact on the phone. I went to Aspen Dental mostly because they have weekend hours. At the time, I didn't realize it was a franchise type dental place. I had to have many fillings done. The Dr. was very nice. He apparently had his own practice elsewhere, but only took hours at Aspen now & then. I wasn't crazy about the idea that I wouldn't have the same Dr. at every visit. During my visit. The hygeinist was chomping on gum as she led me back to my chair, which I found to be very unprofessional. She wasn't overly friendly. While I was getting my fillings, she was explaining to the Dr. how to use some of the equipment. She told him how crappy all of their stuff is. She said there is a hole in one of the tubes that they have to keep taped up & the chairs are always needing parts which they can only get through Aspen & she went on to say how cheaply made they were. She also sprayed my face many times & then used the paper bib to blot my whole face...It was overall a very uncomfortable visit. That's not the worst of it.... When I left, I was numb up to my eyeball & it took about 5 hours for it to wear off. Once it wore off I was in horrible, excrutiating pain. I was also then able to tell that one of my fillings was too high & my bite was off. I took Extra Strength Tylenol but it did nothing to help the pain. I decided to call Aspen's emergency line. It was only 8pm, so I didn't figure it would be too late to call. The person who answered asked for my Dr.'s name and he got back on the phone & said he couldn't reach the Dr. but left a voicemail for him to reach me asap. I never received a call back. That was the last straw for me. read more

Son had a crown done there in Holland. A week after the permanent was on..he ate a sausage mcmuffin and fell off..Soft food.. Had it put back on.. 3 weeks later..eating a pizza..fell of again.. And he doesn't eat anything that would stress it.. Seems they just can't get it right.. Look around people..all I can say.. read more

Read the honest reviews here!! Don't trust those google reviews. What I went through is that they made a big deal out of nothing and they changed me a fortune. I went to a different dentist for second opinion and boom they didn't find anything. This place, they only care about exploiting money from you and they just don't care about the situation. Drove 25 minutes for my 1st exam. Very rude employees and refused any treatment unless I paid for the whole "package", including x-rays, etc. I just had full mouth x-rays 6 months ago at another dentist! Was refused cleaning and exam. Walked out and found another dentist that was happy to just give me an exam. I'll NEVER visit a Aspen Dental for my dental health in the future. read more

My complaint about this place is the wait time. They would tell me "we can set your appointment at this time." Okay, I would go there early and wait for about half an hour. Way past my appointment time. Still was not ready for me. This happened twice. I'm not sure if it's staffing or what. But the staff is really nice. I would definitely stay far, far away from Aspen dental if you can! I had an appointment for my first cleaning with them and while seated in the waiting area, noticed a girl that looked extremely sick in the back area. I even saw her stop long enough to place her head on her folded arms as if she were having a hard time standing up or was in great pain. When they finally called me back, it was this same young lady. One closer look at her & I knew that she was ill. Her eyes were swollen & red & she just looked very under the weather. Neverless, she was going to take X-rays and preform other procedures on me. I felt extremely uncomfortable with that & told her so. She was upset but I was protecting my own health I believed! After telling the receptionist I was leaving! I walked out. This young lady should have NEVER been allowed to work that day! Her supervisors should have made sure of that. I have since been to a different Aspen dental office, that's the only office on my dental plan, and although the people there appear healthy, they try to sell you numerous unnecessary treatments. They appear to tell everyone that they need a "deep cleaning" & up sell products! They are just out to increase your bill. The bottom line.........this not a good dental practice! Firstly, this was the only place open on a Friday.... It seems every other dentist's office takes a holiday on Fridays, as if teeth never hurt on those days. So I was grateful to find someone open at the end of the week. Not only that, but they are also open on Saturdays! The staff on the phone was very open and friendly, and their willingness to go above & beyond to find some way to help me (even if it wasn't easy), was heartwarming and extraordinary. The office was welcoming and comfortable, and the office staff well organized and knowledgeable. The dental assistant that greeted me and initiated the procedure was also very knowledgeable and welcoming, explained everything that would happen (and not happen), and I felt the appointment proceeded quickly without much waiting time, yet it wasn't at all rushed or careless. The doctor (Dr. Miller), although completely booked that day, didn't keep me waiting for long, and made me feel as though as I was the only patient in the office. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, and I am honestly still completely floored at the care, professionalism, helpfulness, and friendliness of that office and the entire staff. It's very difficult (and rare) to find that balance these days - if they're too professional, they're uncaring and unfriendly. If they're too friendly, they're not professional enough and often disorganized. Granted, my experience has only been at one Aspen Dental office so far. But the excellent experience I've had there will certainly bring me into more of their offices in the future! read more

Looks like there may be a turn over of new staff, because I found all the staff and Dentist to be professional, friendly great financial service as I have no insurance. The hygienist is to top notch with excellent cleaning and care products. I would give a five star except for one glitch, the temp crown came out the 2nd day. I'm a new pt at Aspen Dental and will give a backup review in 6 months when I see how the permanent crowns are holding up. read more
