One of the first things I noticed was that my insurance was billed for treatment on a tooth that they IN NO WAY COULD HAVE PERFORMED because the tooth was missing. At this point I absolutely needed to obtain a second opinion based on their treatment plan, I requested my records, received and signed the release document... but even then the Blanding location has simply REFUSED to send those paid for docuements to requesting office or to me. After I questioned their treatment plan, they stated to me that my 39 day old treatment plan was no longer valid and they needed to re-examine me for further treatment. I was met with attitude and resistance and ignored after this. In my opinion, the one star reviews are deserved. read more

I would've thought their range for a root canals would've been a bit lower than the single dentist or ENTs I contacted and Jacksonville. Nope. The very most expensive and also pushed to have you sign a treatment plan even on the phone started talking about that. I want to share my experience with Aspen Dental so others are aware before choosing this office. I originally lived in Jacksonville, FL but was preparing to move to Orlando. I asked Aspen Dental if I should begin my treatment in Orlando instead of Orange Park. One of the dental assistants advised me to start in Orange Park, so I followed that recommendation and began treatment in May 2024. For months, I was traveling back and forth between Orange Park and Orlando for my appointments. When I received my first set of aligners in May, the dental assistant did not explain how to use them properly. Because of that, I mistakenly skipped from tray #1 to tray #3 or #4, not knowing I was supposed to use tray #2 next. At my next visit, a different dental assistant told me I had been using the trays incorrectly and that the previous assistant should have explained everything to me. By the time I reached tray #3, the top tray fit but the bottom tray did not. I returned to the office and was given a rubber chew tool to "force" the tray to fit. With that, tray #3 eventually fit, but the same problem continued with trays 4 through 12 -- the top tray fit, and the bottom tray never fit properly. When it was time to remove the attachments in October 2024, I pointed out that my teeth looked worse, not better. The assistant acknowledged the issue but still proceeded with the removal. In May 2025, I began visiting a new Aspen Dental office in Apopka, FL. They immediately noticed that my teeth were misaligned and that I had developed a habit of chewing on the side of my mouth because of the issues. They told me they would contact the Orange Park location to resolve the matter. Since June, I have been calling for updates. Every time, I was told they were "waiting on a response from the regional manager." In July, I heard the same thing. By my September 2025 appointment, the Apopka office informed me that the Orange Park office refused to come to an agreement and advised me to contact them directly. I tried repeatedly calling the Orange Park office, but they kept telling me a dental assistant would return my call. Now, they no longer answer my calls at all it seems they recognize my number and avoid responding. After months of being ignored and left with misaligned teeth, my next step will be to pursue legal action. This has been extremely frustrating, unprofessional, and disappointing. I am sharing my experience in hopes that Aspen Dental takes responsibility and improves the way they read more

When I showed up to have my upper jaw worked on I was informed my insurance had been under estimated and I would have to pay an additional $215 out of my pocket. Hey, $10, $20 even $50 would have been understandable but $215? Then when I contacted my insurance co. they said Aspen did not get their estimate from them at all. Of course, when I called Aspen back they denied all that. Guess I 'll be looking for another dentist AGAIN. Here's the real red flag I should have paid more attention to than anything else: 904-525-8041 is not their office number it goes to a call center. They always make you wait past your appointment time. They have changed my appointment time several times to the point that I take my appointment reminder card with me. They do good work but their customer service is terrible. Months after all work was done and paid for in full they start sending me bills monthly that go up each time. I have called several times and they either there was a discount that was not applied and it will take 3 to 4 weeks to fix. That never happens. They also say the insurance company has requested more information. That was requested 3 months ago and they have not sent it to the insurance company. Calling the call center and they have hung up on me. I call back and ask for a supervisor and they either say one in not available or they say there are no supervisors. read more

I had to come here to get a broken tooth fixed so I was deployable for the navy! When I walked in I was pleased at the office, it was clean and smelt clean. The front desk worker was very friendly good sense of humor. She definitely knew what she was doing. I had an appointment and was taken back for XRays in a very timely manner. After X-rays the dentists and hygienist came in very promptly and we're very understanding of my situation and friendly. They reassured me that this would be a priority and didn't want me to have to wait to get the tooth fixed especially since I'm in pain from it. Afterwards I waited in the lobby to talk to the scheduler, she was very helpful and got me a date that worked good for my rushed schedule. Very happy with my experiences here and am looking to getting my tooth fixed! I don't think I have any complaints, definitely recommend THIS location. read more

When I asked what was going on, I could hear the discussion in the back stating that a part of the file preperation was completed. Therefore, I wasn't even in the que to be seen. They didn't know I overheard this. I told them that I would have to reschedule. As I was about to leave someone came out and called my name and apologized for the delay, stating that they were setting up the xray machine. Now let start by saying out of all dental office there is to choose from Aspen Dental on a Blanding was amazing! From the office staff starting with their office manager KELSEE (forgive me for the misspelling) for the awesome customer service and the friendly. She walked me through my insurance coverage and cost before anything was done. Also the one and only amazing ARI who was very attentive and gave me a friendly welcoming. Next SHANEL (again forgive the misspelling lol) took care of my X-ray and very knowledgeable tech specialist, she walked me through the whole process and listen to all my concerns. Most of all had a positive attitude! My hygienist Josh and Dr. Park both were outstanding, very skillful and made me feel like I was in good hands which I was. They never did any procedure or charged me for anything I didn't need. This place reminds me it's not the brand name or how fancy a practice is.. ITS THE PEOPLE! I was already a patient when I called in about a toothache. An appointment was scheduled. From the beginning they were insisting it was a full blown office visit with a set of X-rays and inspection of my entire mouth. I was just there for a toothache. They even marked on my chart that I was having a full deep clean even though I was there only for a toothache. Nothing was explained to me the first day and nothing was done except X-rays. I was charged $170, yet I still had a toothache. They scheduled me for the next day to fix the toothache. Again I was told they would be working on all 4 quadrants of my mouth even though it was only about 1 tooth. After I explained again, they did fix the one tooth reluctantly. After fixing that tooth, anther guy polished ALL my teeth and put fluoride on all my teeth for an additional charge even though I was just there for one tooth. As someone else mentioned in a review, they are upselling and adding things on to your bill that you did not ask for and you did not agree to. Then they charged me another $150, even though I had been told the previous day that there would be no additional charges. None of the itemized charges were ever explained to me like other dentists have done. When I looked at the bill at home, they had charged me $36 for some mouthwash and $26 for some toothpaste they handed me as I was leaving. Dentists always give free stuff, toothbrushes, Dental floss, etc which I thought this was. But they charged me $60 for over the counter products that I neither asked for or was told I was being charged for. The office manager just called, and after explaining my concerns, she said all procedures were business as usual, all charges legit and I was welcome to take my business somewhere else. Not exactly good corporate responsibility or response. Also the lady working billing had no idea what she was doing. She could not explain any of the charges and why they kept changing. I went in to the office for a cleaning, I was pressured into other services. I service that cost 1400. From a routine cleaning to a payment plan. My teether were left hurting and in pain ever since. My current dentist claimed they damaged my gums with their scouring they suggest for everyone. My TEETH hurt every day. They are nice if you are Rich. CHOOSE ASPEN AT YOUR OWN RISK. The front desk person is rude and argumentative. He makes appointments for people who say no to his reminder calls. He is also a liar. The Dental Hygienist assistants are well aware of the over priced services. They suggested I have service with a tooth I didn't need at all. They put a down payment charge on my credit card to a services you didn't need or want and never got. I asked for a refund and apparently they take money for services not rendered. They still own me 90 dollars. I have made a complaint with the BBB. I am sure they will wish they refunded the money the stole from me. I haven't been to the dentist in a while so I needed some routine work done. I was seen within 15 minutes of my appointment, all the employees from the dental assistant to the hygienist were all very welcoming and made my experience less hectic. Dr. Park is amazing, very interactive and has a good sense of humor which helped my over all experience. At this moment, I'm uncertain of what to say. It seems to me that some doctors are more concerned about money than the patient. For the past 12 years, I have been suffering from an autoimmune disease (LUPUS). I've never had a dentist say anything bad about my teeth, except that I have a gap in the front. I have a health issue called Sjogren's syndrome, which is a disease that causes severe dryness in the mouth. I have a prescription for a mouth rinse that is written by my primary care to be used daily. I take a pill called pilocarpine 5 mg to help create saliva in my situation. I have insurance coverage, which is Humana Gold Plus, which covers up to one deep cleaning and three regular cleanings per year. I have been cleaning my teeth consistently for 42 years and none of them have fallen out. I had an appointment yesterday at 3:30 and was told that the hygienist suggested that I have three additional deep cleanings. After that, he will review my teeth and consider whether or not I can continue with the regular clean co-pay out-of-pocket would be additional $89 per three cleanings. I said Humana covers why isn't it optional as a patient that I choose to receive the regular cleanings which I have for the last 12 years and I've never had an issue with my teeth. I Floss and brush my teeth daily. I'm trying to understand when has it become more so not about the patient or whether the patient can choose her treatment on what she can afford. if I had $89 to pay out like it's nothing no problem but if I'm telling you, I don't have the $80 extra per three cleanings and I also was told I can't change that decision hygienist made, and he's not allowed to make that changes either. Then who is allowed to make that change that should be optional to a patient to choose and so far my choices have not interfered with all my teeth falling out of my mouth. So basically yesterday, my appointment was a waste of time because I didn't have $89 nor the option to get just my regular cleaning which my insurance approveds. read more

We've been using Aspen Dental on Blanding for a couple of years. I highly recommend this location, particularly if you are dentist-averse. Dr. Simeon's chair-side manner ranks as the best I've encountered. Patient comfort and mental well-being seems to be paramount among the doctors in that building. And I've not encountered better assistants (Naomi should get a raise) and administrators (Arianna is efficient and kind). After reading the reviews about this place, I realized I made a mistake by not reading the reviews first and going there period. My appointment was at 3:15pm. I seen people come in after me and being called back before me. The dental assistant didn't call me until 4:00 pm. She took my X-rays then had me wait in the chair for another 30 minutes before even being seen by the dental hygienist. I didn't even get a cleaning done as I told them why I was there for. The dental hygienist then sent the dentist in and she looked over my X-rays and said I need a crown done . I talked with dentist for approximately 10 minutes.I was then told to go up front to talk to front office managers. I waited and waited and waited. I was beyond pissed off. I don't understand some of the earlier reviews that only gave one star and claimed to have such a horrible experience. Yes, there is a wait when you arrive on time for your appointment, but when do you see any medical provider "on time"? I have observed a clean, friendly and organized office. As promised, I got complete x-rays, exam and treatment plan at no charge. Dr. Park is an excellent dentist. He did some pretty major work in my mouth and so far so good. He spends what ever time is necessary with me, answers all my questions and we went over alternate treatment options until we settled on a good plan we both liked. My pain has been minimal and the office has been great about working me in when I called with concerns. I sat down with the office manager to get a treatment estimate and what my out of pocket would be. I knew up front what to expect financially, so no surprises. I have seen several patients walk-in without an appointment - they needed to wait a bit, but the office made sure they were seen. I truly LOVE having a practice with more than one provider and not having to wait for months for cleanings or minor fillings. I will update this when my treatment is complete! read more

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a dentist. I waited for an hour and a half for a cleaning that I didn't even get. I saw the dentist for a total of 8 minutes and he looked in my mouth twice. Then I was sent to the office manager who told me I need a gun procedure that was over $700, lol. I went here once because of an ad -- awful an understatement. The were giving a free exam and x-rays to new patients without insurance. X-Rays -ok, hygienist came in to look at my gums -- she first asked "will I be doing your teeth?" I was honest -- I did not know. She refused to examine me. Wile this was going on a patient in the other side of a two chair sweet was SCREAMING. The dentist came in and told me he wanted to pull a few teeth -- WHY??? I was directed to a seat to tell me my issues-- I asked to get my friend who was the lobby -- was told I could not -- they got him. I know I would have left if I had gone out to the lobby. The presented me with a plan for a few thousand dollars and a contract to sign -- at 29% interest. Once you sign it you owe for all the work -- and the monthly payments even the work is done -- for good measure they wanted me to finance an electric toothbrush "part of the package" at an EXORBITANT price. The Aspen Dental business plan is to set up a patient with a dental loan that they generate with a heavy interest rate and then to overcharge you for every procedure. You have to be pretty desperate to go to Aspen because it's going to cost you a lot!! Reminds me of a used car dealer with a "buy here pay here" setup where you pay forever for a junky used car. I would like to recognize one particular young lady that works in the office at the Orange Park location. I'll apologize in advance...I cannot remember her name :( However, she is the pleasant young lady that you're seated with at the beginning of your visit and at the end of your visit. She definitely deserves Recognition on what a Fabulous job she does. It was smart to have the client sit with her before their treatments, especially with those of us who aren't particularly happy about going to the dentist. She has a very calm demeanor and it spills over and makes you feel relaxed and that everything is going to be taken care of. She is by far one of your Greatest Assets to the company. This place is a complete fraud! They made an appointment with me for my 10 year old son and the appointment was at 10 we arrived at 9:10 fifty minutes early and still had to wait 2 hoirs for him to be seen by a lady who simply told us to come back at 6 yi have my sons 1 tooth extracted! When we came back at 6pm again to have 1 tooth extracted they charged me 217 dollars on top of my insurance where i jave a 1500 deductable. Then wrote him a prescription for tylonal 3 but actual 4 the numbers were wrong so thed pharmacy couldnt even fill it This is the worst dentist in town and once i speak with my insurance company about what should have been covered i will probablly sue! Ran more like a mechanic shop....every time you go in they find another reason to charge you in excess of $1200 or they are always trying to sell you a product. I never had any problems with my teeth (I'm 51) but I went in for a cleaning and somehow was convinced that I needed a root canel. during that procedure they cracked another one of my teeth and the tooth that the root canel procedure was done on hurts like hell. I should have never allowed them to do any work on me! The staff act like a bunch of fraternity girls and have no professionalism. This place is a bunch of ametures. I went for an appointment and decided to have four implants and a plate made for my upper teeth, at almost $12000.00. Everything went well and after around four months my upper plate was ready. It fit perfectly and I went home. I noticed I could not see my upper teeth when I opened my mouth and very little when I smiled. I noticed my gums went about half way down behind my front teeth on the plate. In other words only about half of my teeth was extended below my gums. I couldn't go back for a couple of months due to other surgery's I had. I made an appointment and went back to explain what was wrong, I talked to the dentist and the guy that makes the teeth. I told them that my gums should be even with the top of my teeth. Their flyer and advertisement says if you have problems with your plate they will make you another one. That is a lie. They wanted to charge me an additional $1900.00 to make a new upper plate. I consider this false advertisement. Haven't talked to my lawyer yet. read more

It's fine if you need urgent service, however everytime I go in there are different people and I would like to keep the same Doctor who is up on my conditions and understand what I am talking about. If I go in with a problem on what the Dr. did and they are not there then they have to resort to the files and x-rays and TRY to understand and that did not work. I think the place is very nice and loved the atmosphere. I was seen quickly and staff was very polite and friendly. I have a tooth ache and after the examination, was told that I could either have a root canal or have the tooth pulled out. I elected the later and another procedure to ensure that there would be no follow-up complications or if any they would be minimal. I was excited and relieved as I've been dealing with this pain for awhile. Finance wise..that's another issue. I expected that I would have to pay something, but was confused when told that my insurance would not cover the cost of having a tooth extracted. I thought that was weird, especially since they would provide coverage for other dental work I had discussed having in the future. I worked with the financial planner (very nice, by the way) to come up with a plan of payment. She asked that standard question "do you have any money saved up for dental work" to which my response was something like I pay for dental insurance-I expected that I would have to pay half, you guys are on the list of providers and I'm not sure why they would cover other stuff but not cover pulling a tooth. This kind lady said she would look into it further, but encouraged that I consider the financial plan we discussed. I left w/o getting that tooth pulled. When I got home, I called my insurance company (don't know why I didn't do it while at the dentist office) and the representative said that, in fact, they do cover pulling a tooth for half the cost. I shared the story of my visit to the dentist office and he (the CS rep) said he is not sure why the dentist office would say that, but I am covered-he checked twice to be sure. So the next day, I called the kind financial planner at Aspen to tell her about my conversation, explaining that I went through the normal customer service route and was told that I am covered for half the cost. I was also hoping to have a new fee drawn up so I could get this tooth out asap. She said she would call customer service and get back to me..........I'm still waiting, my tooth is still hurting. I want to be cordial and wait since I did get the free initial exam (wait a minute, could it be.....mmmmm) but if I'm gonna have to have this tooth out soon and will just go somewhere else. Lesson, free ain't really free folks.... but I'm not gonna pay full price for dental work when I have a good dental plan in place. I shouldn't have to. read more
