As a kid growing up in the 80's like most all kids i was tortured by dentist with bad skills, so i made the mistake of avoiding the dentist as i got older, even then still the pain was off putting, but i must say that i never have had any discomfort with Dr Lee or his staff, He has done some pretty in depth work over the years,and fixed a lot of poor work done by others and the pain or discomfort is non-existent, there maybe a mil a second of pain here and there, but that is it. long gone are the days of having continues eye watering pain for the whole visit. the staff is great and always kind and helpful. i wouldn't want to go anywhere else and feel lucky we have there office here in Jax. On 2/6 around 9am, I contacted The dental office to relay information from my insurance company to resubmit the claim. because we have two ins carriers, there is an order in which they should be submitted...The Receptionist lost her cool after I told her and I won't be able to pay the 1700 bill & the insurance will cover it. My first statement to her was that I could not hear her if she is yelling . She proceeded to talk over me saying she was not yelling and I needed to listen to her. I listened ... she yelled, "when you go into Publix 'to buy chicken..." I ignored that because it was obvious she was vibrating low on this good Monday morning. I said Ma'am, we aren't talking about Publix, we are talking about you resubmitting a claim like Jen used to do when the insurance company gave any pushback. I guess that was good, old fashioned, long gone customer service. Thanks Jen, wherever you are. It is certainly my responsibility and I will handle it with the companies we pay to cover these expenses. The next thing I told her was that she was being extremely unprofessional. It was early so obviously no one was in the waiting area... she was loud. Still talking over me, she proceeded to tell me that they were very professional taking care of me and my family. She's 95% correct there; however, let's bring it to the current moment.... Her behavior is unacceptable and anyone in the office on Monday morning can vouch for that. I understand she's upset about not getting her money right away, but I'll continue to do my best to get it resolved. The meantime, go ahead and take me and my family off the books. As soon as I resolve the matter, I will be transferring our 4 sets of dental records elsewhere. There is no way I can ignore that type of abuse and continue to bring my family there for dental services. I went into the office the following morning Because I didn't want to chance not making progress By getting Mrs Lee ( obviously who she is because she is sooooo mad) on the phone with all that yelling and no listening. I was able to speak to a different representative who canceled all future appointments and also had called and received the information I was trying to relay. Let me mention, that throughout my conversation with the other young lady, the Asian lady kept jumping up to bring me policies, and to tell me she isn't listening to me because I don't pay my bills, and how she's sending me to collections. I told her to send it. If that's your job, do it. In the meantime I'll be getting someone else to pay this bill- the insurance company). I'm not new to this, I know all of my responsibilities, rights, laws, credit and all. You'll get paid. I'll remove your bad mark. Wala! Everyone will be happy. Well, I don't know about you. You're mean. She also wanted me to say thank you, and I Obliged. Sorry for the delay; however, someone needs to have a serious talk with her-even though we all know she won't listen- or doesn't have to listen, but try some water yoga or meditation bc she went berserk on the phone and in person. "Aesthetic Dentistry" really is the perfect name for this practice: Dr. Lee is meticulous in his work and an artist when it comes to how he applies his craft. He ensures things look the best they possibly can, and his staff are all on the same page when it comes to quality work and upholding standards, not to mention great customer service! It's hard finding all new doctors and/or dentist after moving to a new area, especially when you have had the same doctor and dentist for over 10 years! But I can truly say that I have found my new dentist in the person of, Dr. Young H. Lee, D.M.D. Dr. Lee's "bedside manner" is excellent! Very personable, friendly and just all around great! You can tell he is genuine and not putting on a front just because I am a new patient to his office. He was thorough in all of his interactions with me. Meaning, he explained everything that needed to be done and he was thorough in all that he did to my teeth. This is the first time I have been to a dentist office with a TV in the ceiling, so when they lay you back you can watch and listen to the TV with the headphones they give you. This clearly kept my mind off of the noise around me. Great idea! Dr. Lee's office understands the concept of not scheduling patients to close together, so as to not overlap appointments causing us to wait forever to see the doctor. On each appointment I never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes. His front office employee is amazing! She is so friendly and understanding, especially when it comes time to pay. She helped me break up my payments so I wouldn't have to pay the full amount in one visit. She clearly understands that some people are on budget and do not always have $1500 in their pockets. I have been going to Dr. Lee for about 18 years. He is so polite. He is the best dentist I have ever known. He doesn't tell you that you need unnecessary proceeders like some of the dentists that I have known do. He does amazing work and he is very honest. The entire staff is warm and friendly. His wife helps out sometimes and she is amazing too. Jill is my dental hygenist. She does a wonderful job cleaning my teeth and it's always a pleasure chatting with her. Dr. Lee came highly recommended by our daughter. My husband and I went for our first visit. Nothing but five stars from us beginning with the office phone being answered by a human and not an answer machine. We were able to get a quick appointments. The office is very nice, very clean. The staff were all extremely professional. The hygienist and dentist were very informative on the care and necessary repairs for our teeth. Quotes and priority of work to be done as the cost allows was also provided. Aside from the two different types of X-rays done, they also took pictures of our teeth. Dentist offices are typically not a place most like to frequent. Dr Lee and his team of professionals are always welcoming and make you feel comfortable. Their state of the art technology is just short of amazing. 3-D cameras allow you to see clear, up close pictures of your teeth on a TV screen. Now that could be good or bad for some ...but it enables Dr Lee and his team to easily address any current concerns that you may have, and it's much better than trying to view those black/white x-rays that someone like myself has no clue as to what I'm looking at. They are not over aggressive in trying to sell you a bunch of costly dental work, but instead address the most pressing issues first, allowing you to spread your dental care cost over time. They accept most major insurance plans and file for you. With that said, no dental work is cheap, but they will give you an after insurance cost estimate for you budget planning. If you are seeking a dentist for a current dental problem, or just a new dentist for routine cleanings, I highly recommend Dr Lee and his team. read more

First, I'll start by saying that Dr. Lee is the best dentist I have ever had, in addition, his assistants where very helpful and made me feel very comfortable during my procedures. I'm very pain sensitive and they made sure that I was taken care of. unfortunately, what has brought their rating down for me is the not dental related. the billing practices or maybe I should say how they are communicated does not meet the same standard of care being given by Dr. Lee. I moved my entire family to Dr. lee's Practice after 1 visit because of the service I received. Prior to doing this I asked one simple question. do you take my insurance! with a smile the young lady said ill check and returned to tell YES! we accept your insurance so based on that statement I became a patient and my entire family of 5. Fast forward 6 months , I'm having some dental issues so I call to make an appointment and I'm told that I can't schedule an appointment because I have a balance. My question was how I paid what was asked at visit and I have 2 insurances (Cigna& Met life) which I met the deductible for both. I was told that they were out of network for both insurances. I told the young lady that before I scheduled any appoints I asked if I could come there based on my insurance assuming that I'm talking to an insurance professional. Well to my disappointment she now says that she told me that they "accepted my insurance" but that did not mean I was in network. So now because is the misleading statement I now have a 300.00 bill in collections that I have to pay immediately to protect my credit. obviously, had I been given proper information from the onset I would not have this out of pocket expense. This bill is just for me as I said I brought my whole family. so I'm waiting for the other boot to drop. I have referred other from my company so clearly I'll be informing them about this asap. Unfortunately, I have to rate this practice a 2 star for something non related to the actual care but being a healthcare professional for now 20 years we all know that given the patient accurate information is a part of the overall experience and based on this I have to rate my overall experience as Poor. thanks for nothing in the future please give your patients accurate information so they can make an informed choice for care. read more
