I had made an appointment a couple weeks ago for 11-4-2024 at 4 pm/ I was contacted by the office on Friday 11-1-2024 at 12:08 pm and the call was 2 in and 36 sec long where the girl on the phone look my insurance information and confirmed everything for my monday appointment. I received a text on thursday at 12:07 pm to confirm my appointment. I also got a text message on Sunday at 1:02pm telling me about my appointment at 4pm monday. I arrived at 3:50 for my 4pm appointment and was told by the girl at the desk that my appointment was cancelled because my phone number wasn't any good and they couldn't get a hold of me. I told the girl i talked to someone on Friday and i showed her the call on my phone as well as the text message and she said well there is nothing that can be done it wont allow me to put the appointment back in. I called the Lockport location and was given a " FILL IN " manager who couldnt do anything either. Reached out to Jessica Ahlstrom the Regional and got the clasic blow off response. I apologize for this negative experience in the Lockport office. I will follow up with the office and provide the appropriate coaching to the staff around what a new patient experience should look like. The care I received was very good. The Doctor & the staff were very nice & professional. Wait time was not good. I was not seen for over one hour & the wait time to see the Dentist was an additional 40 minutes. My denture repair was perfect but the cost to re-glue a single tooth was $151.00. This was addition to the $136.00 for the visit. My quote for replacement dentures was almost $4,000.00. read more

I gave this place a chance because I had a cavity before Christmas that was bothering me and I knew I wouldn't get in with my dentist because I hadn't been in awhile. For starters, they showed me someone else's X-rays and didn't realize it until I opened my mouth for them. The dentist himself, Dr. Adam Donovan was unfriendly and had a very cold personality. They tried to get me to pay for a gingivitis deep cleaning and claimed anything less was under treatment. The day after my filling was done, I used a small camera to check the tooth that was worked on because I felt an area that was sharp and to my surprise, there were 2 black spots still on my tooth. I spoke with my old dentist and they said there is no reason a dentist should ever leave an area of decay on a tooth they are already working on. I just had a cleaning at my old dentist's office and was told I do not have gingivitis and do not need any kind of deep cleaning. I was also told that filling that Dr Donovan did was the worst work they had ever seen and they could not only see under the filling but they could see decay under the filling. I now have to pay to have Aspen Dental's filling removed and have the whole tooth redone properly. read more

DO NOT GO HERE THEY ARE A SCAM. I was initially reluctant to go to Aspen Dental for a root canal on my back molar. Upon the initial consult, they fluffed up how great they are at root canals and how I would be able to apply for their credit card called "Fortiva" in order to help pay for the treatment. The office was completely dirty, yellow stains in the corner of the rooms and chewed/cracked walls etc. There is no privacy as the rooms are just open basically. During my root canal, the staff was fairly unprofessional as they continued to joke with one another and didn't appear to put forth their full attention when completing the procedure. During the root canal procedure, it was extremely painful (far more painful than the other root canal that I had done on a different molar at a different office). Anyways, after the root canal was completed I continued to have pain on the operated side and called the office to inform them of the residual pain. When I went back into the office about a month later to have my tooth examined the dental assistant and now a completely different doctor (Dr. Bradford went to go and put a crown on my infected tooth! I had to stop them before they prepped my tooth and when I intervened they were confused and had to go ask the BUSINESS MANAGER what they should proceed to do. They seemed to scramble around and I waited 40+ minutes for them to finally return to the room to tell me it could be "phantom pain" that I was exhibiting. I was not even able to communicate with Doctor C. who actually performed the procedure. This new doctor (Dr B claimed that 20% of root canals fail in which I in turn learned is an absolute false statement just proving that this company tries to cover up messes that they make. They entirely misled me and when I said that I needed the root canal redone they basically waved me away and refunded money to the credit card that can ONLY BE USED at Aspen Dental. They never refunded the money back to Fortiva and now my credit has been impacted. It has been a nightmare of an experience and I highly recommend avoiding this place if possible. I am now in the hospital dealing with a tooth infection. I went to a specialist and had this tooth re-examined and the new specialist could not believe how poorly my root canal was done. read more

Made appointments for all family members (6 total), they made us 7 appts then denied ever making an extra. Then we got notifications for our appts and they mixed the appts all up which we used my work schedule so that didn't work for us. Then we take our son to the first appt and they sent us home because they don't have a dentist today?!?! We cancelled all appts made. We are now getting notifications that we were a no call no show to our sons appt. that we brought him to only to be sent home. That place is a mess. read more

Do not go here. I was a patient here and got a root canal done which was done in a few sessions and 3 dentists worked on it. They are constantly going through new dentist. It's a mess there. I got the root canal done and then went to a new location for pain in that same tooth about a year later and I've been told the crown was not placed correctly and there's a space between which allowed for an infection to happen. So I now have to spend another $3000 on getting the tooth removed after I just spent that on getting the root canal done. Absolutely unacceptable. read more

This is just about the worst dentist's office I have ever been to. I'm not sure why they do this, maybe they are trying to scam the customer out of even more $$ (I got the impression that many patients here are self-pay) but they have you come in for a cleaning, and make you come back another time for a dentist's examination. Now, my time is no more precious than the next person's, but I usually don't have a ton of time to spend going to the dentist's twice for one 6-month checkup. My husband used to go here as well, and I would always laugh with sad amusement because he would be talked into buying some $40 mouthwash from Aspen dental for his 'problem gums'. First time ever writing a review. I wish it were a better one. Prepare yourself for the used car sales experience! WARNING: don't call this place if you have an immediate need. They refuse to assist without an oral examination. They can't even guarantee they'll address your issue same day. Once they examine you, they bring you into a small room where the "car salesman" will tell you how many thousands of dollars you'll need to spend in order to get your smile back on track. I told them to forget it and just scheduled my follow up for the chipped tooth. It hasn't been very long and the filling has fallen out. I called them this morning and asked for a repair. I was a "patient" customer from a friends recommendation,, but I tell you after the initial exam (which went fine) and the commendations of having a bridge put in for $5000.00 I agreed. BOY WHAT A MISTAKE! Not only was it ill fitting, they said I would get use to it, I never could, the "Dr" was the roughest doctor I have ever had. Even while I was sitting in the chair and the "Dr." (a Russian/Romanian transplant I guess) was pushing me back all the time, told me to hold my head still while I was protesting about the pain, and then while I was waiting for the bridge, one of the "helpers" started arguing with her, and the other helper looked at me with amazement about what was going on behind my back 2 feet away in the very same room. After the arguing subsided, the "Dr" kept trying to fit the bridge back in, and then I was told I would have to come to make it "right". Wow another fitting almost as bad. They weren't advertising money back guarantee when I got this done, so now I guess I need to find the paid receipt to see if they stand behind their claim! read more

I went to to have only a cavity filled. I went through a full oral exam with x-rays (which is free for new patients. The people there were very nice for the very first visit (Only good thing about the place). Then it went down hill after the first exam and x-rays. When I was brought into the administrator's office to discuss the dental plan for me (them knowing I only wanted a cavity filled) they informed me that I needed to go through 3 separate dental hygiental cleanings (the first one being a little over $1000.00) before they would do my filling. The overall complete work up on me was over $3500.00 when I only wanted a $200.00 filling done. And me with no dental insurance. I was told that there was no way to have just my one filling done until I had all the cleanings. I have since gone to other dentist's to get quotes on just having my cavity filled and they had no issue with just doing that and they are cheaper the Aspen. Never go to Aspen Dental. They completely took advantage of my grandma. She is so unhappy with her dentures and they will do NOTHING to help her. She can't even wear the teeth that she spent thousands of dollar for. She was unhappy with her first pair. And they convinced her to pay for a second pair and told her they would do everything to make them work. Well they didn't. She can't wear them and they refuse to help. They yelled at her after the procedure and shoved her all bloody into my mothers car. She then had issues with gagging after the procedure and they told her IT WAS ALL IN HER HEAD! Seriously!? Who treats customers that way? They are unwilling to do anything to remedy the situation or get her wearable dentures. They also never clearly disclosed the INSANE INTEREST RATE. I took my kids here today and my son was supposed to get cleaning x-rays and check-up. When he was done he told me they didn't clean his teeth. So I asked the girl at the desk why they didn't clean his teeth, she stated that they won't clean them because he needs the deep cleaning first. Whitch cost over a thousand dollars. I had neglected the dentist for sometime and had finally gotten the courage to get my oral health back on track. I chose aspen due to my mother going to one in her area since she had a positive experience I figured I'd give the one in my town a shot. As expected I had a laundry list of issues to get fixed including wisdom teeth and fillings plus a few other teeth that were getting evicted, they very easily wrote out a plan and explained the cost of each item then they set me up with a payment plan at 0% apr for 12 months. This was huge since I'm not rocking even close to a perfect credit score! All my appointments are now done except a cleaning. Everything went without a hitch the only reason I didn't give them a perfect score was due to the surgeon that performed my wisdom teeth extraction was a bit cold and a bit confrontational. Other than that one time each of my appointments which were about seven or eight in total were absolutely perfect I cannot say enough about the staff from the dental assistants the hygienist and the doctors and especially the people that run the front desk. My main reason for writing this review was I happened to notice the negative ones on here and I really cannot agree with any of those 3 reviews based on my experience, while I had my appointment set up I ended up losing my insurance the manager there was beyond accommodating she went very out of her way to still allow me to get the remaining dental work I needed with out charging me much more additional to what I was already expecting to pay and even now that I have a new job they're very accommodating when I called them to let them know I will reschedule my final appointment once my dental insurance at the new job kicks in. they even wished me well on the new job when I called up!! that customer service touch alone is just really nice and above and beyond. I never had any pain with feelings or any long term pain from teeth being pulled I would tell everyone and anyone who needs to see a dentist to go here hands down! read more

I've been going to this location for well over 6 years. This last visit was the last nail in the coffin. The staff has gone nowhere but downhill. My visit this past November was to get a cavity filled and a quote for a bonding. I went for the routine X-rays first and sent up an appointment again for later the same day to fill the cavity. After asking about a bonding quote literally 5 times the dentist comes out looks right at me a says "you never said that" while I'm getting a cleaning right before the cavity was to be filled. After the cleaning they showed me out and I say I'm suppose to get the cavity filled to. They say the dentist didn't want to do it yet and to come back later because they might want to do something else. Nothing was explained and all in all I wasted the entire day there, paid a total of almost $300 out of pocket and got nothing I came in for. The only good employee there was the lady who cleaned my teeth. The turnover rate as I can imagine is awful there and i have never had a "dentist" give me such an unnecessary attitude in my life. First review ever. This place is terrible. The office staff is very nice but the dentistry is awful. Had 4 wisdom teeth pulled and they compressed a nerve. Excruciating pain and they didn't care or see a problem that 5 weeks post op my left side of my face was swollen like I had a golf ball in it, they told me they couldn't see it.....it was actually had to ignore my face is deformed and completely asymmetrical. Worst pain I have ever been in my entire life and I had to beg for pain meds. I can't open my mouth wide enough to get a fork in or brush my back teeth and they don't care. They said the oral surgeon will see me in 8 days. I finally got another dentist to look at me, ( they don't like to infringe on other people's surgery cases) they were shocked at the swelling and got me to a surgeon in 1 hour as an emergency case. The surgeon gave me nerve pain meds, steroids for swelling, antibiotics and pain meds and told me if it got any worse to call him and be ready to go inpatient at the hospital. Aspen dental is a scam they are incompetent please try somewhere else don't be fooled by a friendly office staff. read more

I went there in the past and stopped going because the bridge they made did not fit. I asked to get it fixed and got a hard time and told they had to make a new one . AND I WOULD BE CHARGED AGAIN. that was 2009. I figured I would give them one more try....... What was I thinking.... I lost 2 filling and wanted to get them filled on my one and only day off. I had a 9:45 appt and left at 11:55. Oh yeah no fillings were done. I had X-rays and they did the numbers game on my gums. Then sent into the principals office to discuss the fee's. So the reason I went in was MY LOST FILLING'S. So my next appt. was fitting for partial's, next was the first of 2 cleanings because I was a #4 with the numbers game. Which is so funny because if any of you have had this done I had 3 -#4's and all the others were 2 and 3 for gum disease. So visit 3 was for the second part of the cleaning after 2 weeks. AND #4 visit was for my LOST FILLING'S and that would be 1 month later.... Really get with the program people. When we go to the dentist with a problem we really do not want to hear about cleanings are very important. Don't tell me you can not do a filling until you clean my teeth first. I canceled the appointments and I will take my 4,000.00 bill and go some where else where I can get my fillings refilled... Oh by the way I got the first fillings done at ASPEN DENTAL the same location..I will not be going back there ever again. read more
