I schedule appointments at the earliest possible available time so that I can get to work. I had an 8am appt today, and was in the waiting room at 7:55. I walked out of the waiting room at 8:20. There were no other patients, and staff was present. If you cannot respect my time, you will not continue to get my business. I know that this is not an unfortunate series of events for just me, as my wife has had similar experiences with multiple appointments in a row being cancelled or rescheduled due to poor staffing levels/scheduling on their behalf. While we have had zero issue with Dr Blakely, the operational management of this practice is severely lacking.

However, when I later tried to obtain my dental records, I was told they had already been deleted from their system. These were my personal medical records, and I was never notified that they would be removed or given the opportunity to receive a copy. It has been less than five years since I was a patient there. At a minimum, patients should be notified and given the option to receive their records before they are deleted--especially when a practice changes ownership. It would have been very easy to send them by email or provide instructions on how to obtain them. This experience was frustrating and disappointing. I hope the practice improves how it handles patient records during ownership transitions so that other patients do not lose access to their own medical information.

When I have dental insurance, I've been coming here. I moved for a time and experienced another…read moredentist, which was totally great as well. After coming back here, I've noticed some changes. Yeah, they could update their office a bit - but if it works, it works. My issue is that, upon returning, I've had a newer dentist that doesn't have bedside manner. Very gruff, short and to the point, and not really explanatory. I can be alright with that if you're competent and good at your job. But, in the times I've been, it seems like he goes out of his way to activate my gag reflex. Yes, I have one and I warn people about it - but if you're in my mouth and then just start wriggling around, of course I'm going to gag. What was the reason for you to start doing that? And, if there is a reason, let me know - part of a gag reflex is a control thing. Also, if I've just gagged, don't ask if you can try again 10 seconds later - there's a process to gain composure and it takes time. I've worked with a bunch of dentists. The best ones operate on a consent model - "I'm going to do this now, okay?" is a very clear and powerful question. It makes the process easier and it is communicative. The hygienists here are usually pretty good. Friendly and probably trying to make up for the fact that they have someone who doesn't relate to patients well. Cleanings have been generally pretty good for me in the past few years. Quick, easy, and I'm out. I miss Dr. Burgler! Lastly, I sent in a payment a month ago yet got a reminder bill for the same payment. I'm pretty sure it's their office not processing the payment quick enough - not me having never sent a payment. So, how about a chill?

First let me say that I have no fear of dentistry at all so you can read the review with that in mind and imagine how it would be for someone who does have these issues. Recently I had something ,other than my usual every six month cleaning year after year, occur and I needed it handled as soon as possible. I called my usual Amherst office and explained the situation to the office staff who were very nice and had me speak to Dr Laura Littman. Dr Littman was absolutely wonderful. She understood my concern and wanted to get me in the correct situation as soon as possible. She was so very helpful in getting me in to the Orchard Park office that day. When I arrived at the Orchard Park office their staff was so welcoming. Nikki ( assistant) and Dr Fallon never made me feel like I disrupted their schedule. Dr Fallon asked questions and listened to the answers. Asked if the angle of the chair was comfortable for me, generally was very conscious of me as a patient my comfort and any possible concerns. He resolved the issue and gave me all the information I needed. His chair side manner was above and beyond doctors in any science. The checkout staff was equally thoughtful and helpful topping off the whole experience with kindness. I can't express my thanks enough and how impressed I was by everyone from my first phone call to the Amherst office to checking out at the Orchard Park office, by everyone.

What started out as a good experience turned poor after actually getting my teeth worked on. The…read morehygienist was great, thorough and explained her process. The doctor was nice but I walked out in pain which was expected. The pain I still have over a month later was not expected. I've had my teeth worked on before and have never been in this much pain post-operation. My gums surrounding one particular tooth are still swollen and red. I still cannot brush/flush without my gums bleeding. The tooth feels jagged and my filling is too tall. I still am eating with my front teeth because it's too painful otherwise unless I take 600 mg of ibuprofen beforehand. Also, this particular tooth has become a food trap with a large gap at the back of my tooth which catches everything. I never leave reviews but hoping this will come as a warning for anybody coming here for anything other than a teeth cleaning. Friendly staff and doctor. The actual work done is the problem. It's hard enough finding/trusting dentists and it was disappointing to have a poor experience after years of not having dental insurance available to me.
