I came here a few years ago to have a veneer cemented back on while I was out of town. They told me they weren't allowed to due to a bs warranty related reason, but they were happy to try and sell me a new one + tell me that I had multiple cavities that needed to be filled. However, when I went back home to have my trusted, longtime dentist confirm, he said that I had none. It's extremely unfortunate that companies like this are allowed to exist. Moreover, the dentists who work here only care about money, have no conscience and only pledge allegiance to their corporate overlords. I have not been able to get them to call me for two business days. I left messages every time I called, with no response. I had a deep cleaning and had questions about product I am supposed to use. I had questions while in the office and I don't think they appreciate that I wanted to know answers before and after my service. I agree with others; they answered the phone every time when I called before my appointment, but now that they got my money, they don't want to answer questions. I will be going up there in person and basically force them talk to me face to face. lol They tried to get me to have procedures done without going through and getting a redetermination. I told them absolutely not until I was given authorization through insurance. People, know that what is going on in your mouth, can usually wait until you get an authorization from insurance... stating what they will and will not pay. Get the letter from insurance before you have them do any work besides a 6 mo. cleaning... which is usually free, in many cases. I do not like going to "chain" medical businesses, and I will not go back for any service with them. They are misleading, and changed their story from my first appointment, to the second one about what was going on with my gums and teeth. I left my last dentist because they took no responsibility in what they said from one appointment to the next. I will not return and I will make sure I let all my friends know about this. The dentist was fine, but the rest of the staff are not. They think they are smarter than we are... they don't know me very well. I know my insurance better than they do, I guarantee that. read more

Don't believe the commercials when they tell you, you will walk out with a new set of partials in like 24 hours My wife has went for nine months with only partials After three visits of trying to fit the partials my wife had told him that the partials are too big, and our amazement. We were told that's just the way they are supposed to be, and they accused us of being loud, but I told the doctor there she was the one being loud, so take that as you will .... But they did call the police and had us escorted out. We went to another dentist and within minutes, they figured out why the dentures would not fit One of her wisdom tooth was growing sideways They said those dentist must not have known what they were doing After they did x-rays, they found that even though they pulled the majority of my wife's teeth, one had been broken off in half of it was still in the gum They did offer to refund our money which we paid cash upfront $10,000 But they offered us only 5000 back, and that's if we gave the partials back which would have left my wife toothless searching for a new dentist I would not recommend them to my worst enemy read more

As a follow up to my last experience with Aspen I want it to be known that customer service did answer the phone when I called, they listened and promised to have a supervisor call me back within 24 hours... guess what.. We had the most horrible experience coming to this office. No one knows what they are doing, all the office workers are incompetent. We were told one thing that all the X-ray's were covered and then 4 months later we are in collections. We called numerous times and were told each time that "we will take care of it and if you see another bill please ignore". They did absolutely nothing and then we receive a phone call from there very ignorant office manager saying you now have to pay it. They care nothing about there clients, we are just cattle to them another sucker who stops in to there office. If I could give this establishment zero stars, I would. The Odessa office was beyond disappointing. I went in for a routine deep cleaning and was there for 3 hours. The procedure was highly uncomfortable and painful, resulting in me having a bruise across my jaw, visible on my neck and up to my ear, as well as my face being swollen. Beware! Horrible experience. Went in for a teeth cleaning with insurance and was told I needed further treatment totaling over a thousand dollars. No cavities or repairs mind you. I was floored at the price looked at the itemized bill and a 400 dollar electric toothbrush was conveniently included as well. Even with that removed I was told my bill would still be a little over 1000 dollars. I reluctantly agreed and paid. 3 weeks later received the service I paid for. Now this is the part where I say don't walk run away. Cut to 3 months later I receive a bill in the mail for 150% more than the bill I paid in full at time of services rendered. I contacted customer service and was told the services were not covered by my insurance so the amount I was quoted was only a good faith estimate. Good faith is within 10% not 150% off. There is nothing they can do and sorry about my bad luck. So now I owe 1500 dollars more on top of the thousand I already paid. Enter at your own risk. read more

These people are really, really sleezy, so please beware. I would not have given them one star if I could have written the review with zero. I had an appointment this morning with the Odessa office after having talked to the three different times on the phone and they knew that I need a denture repair and reline, they also knew the dentures had not been purchased from Aspen. I went to the appointment early so I could fill out all the paperwork, sat and waited until 30 minutes after my appointment time before the lady at the front called me up and informed me they did not repair dentures that had not come from them. She said I had to have an "evaluation" along with dental x-rays (I have worn dentures 50+ years, there is nothing to x-ray); only after I go through all this would their dentist make a "recommendation". I am elderly, partially disabled and it is very difficult for me to go anywhere which is why I spent so much time on the phone to determine if the services I required were available. They lied, got me to their office under false pretenses and proceeded to try and extract fees for services I neither needed nor wanted. As I said, these people have very sleezy business practices so just use them at your own risk. read more

don't recommend this place at all. I spent loads of money with them over 11,000 worth. With a high interest rate with care credit. They did a root canal on my front tooth..I had two other teeth done one was breaking not sure of the reason as they said it didn't have a cavity. But they did put a filling. On that tooth and another. I have been in pain since. I have complained about it since a few days after cause it shouldn't be painful like that. They told me..it might be because of the bite down. Went over it again. Still painful when biting down, when eating or drinking, hot or cold. The pain is absolutely horrible. I had bleaching done as well. which while having them do that. I was left unattended I would have to moan loudly and wave my hands because the machine was burning my gums and teeth. I marked it off as ok it's something new I've never done. Was told it was normal. My teeth are now extremely sensitive. The one tooth that didn't have a cavity now has to have a root canal and has a bad infection. Was told I needed to go somewhere else for the root canal cause they can't do it. I think it's because they know they screwed up causing an infection. I was supposed to have Invisalign as well. I couldn't wear the retainers because of my teeth being so sensitive and because of the infection. Told them I want my money back. They want to keep giving me the run around, won't return phone calls. They put me on hold and then end up hanging up on me. I will be speaking to an attorney soon. read more

I would normally go to a dental clinic for a tooth cleaning twice a year but I decided to try this particular clinic for my dental checkup/cleaning, not knowing what was going on, I was tricked into getting a dental procedure done that was not necessary needed at that time only to be billed $2400 even with my dental insurance. Worst moments was walking out of the clinic with a bleeding tooth without no one telling me when the bleeding will stop! right? I have seen many endodontics in the past and seen many people complaining about RCT failures. I'm working in this office for almost a year and Dr. Shingala most of the time finds an extra canal which may be one the reasons rct fails. I have to say he does beautiful RCTs. read more

This was the worst place ever my mouth never hurt so bad when I was done with my cleaning and I have had my teeth cleaned every six months so it is not like they were really dirty she poked my lip 3 times and got it once with the polishers. The dentist tried to tell me I have six cavity but yet they won't give me a copy of the x-rays for a second opinion. I am 36 and have only had 1 cavity in my life so I can't believe I have 6 in six months. This place is terrible. It's in network with my insurance, so my husband made me go to Aspen to save a little money (save money somewhere else! not on your teeth!). When I went the first time, I needed a root canal redone. She looked at my teeth and just referred me out. They don't even do it there. Then proceeded to (incorrectly) tell me that I needed a lot of fillings (eight, if I remember correctly), they did a lot of xrays, tried to sell me on their flouride products. This place was more interested in milking my insurance than actually working on my teeth. The only good thing about Aspen is the lady that cleans teeth is fantastic. I had my teeth cleaned there once, but went back to my old dentist for everything else (no fillings were actually needed, just needed that botched root canal redone). I tried to make an appointment with Aspen to have my teeth cleaned again, but Aspen wouldn't do it unless I came in for another extensive xray and consult session first. They said it had to be two separate visits, xrays first, cleaning second. No thanks! Like I said, they are more interested in milking my insurance than fixing my teeth. I also wouldn't trust them when they recommend multiple fillings, my dentist said there was nothing wrong with my teeth, aside from one tiny cavity that didn't require fixing yet. I would never recommend this place to anyone. My poor mother chipped a tooth and they conned her into dentures. After months of numerous appointments she finally received her permanent set. The quality of work shows when someone cannot even eat bread or eggs within the same week without them breaking twice. The fight with staff to honor their warranty shows even more how this chain business lacks educated leadership. It's a battle with this place every month to get things done. Worst experience ever when I first came in with my son we were not greeted by anyone the receptionist acted as if we were interrupting her. We were the only ones in waiting room and waited 45 minutes before being seen. Very unhygienic the x ray machine broke down and the technician spent time fixing it with her gloves on picked up stuff from the ground and then tried sticking her fingers in my mouth without changing gloves. When I mentioned it she said it was fine. I stopped my exam there. Prior to that when the dentist saw my son he put the mirror into his mouth and looked around for no more then 10 seconds. Before declaring him cavity free. I'm going to end up making an appointment somewhere else because I have never seen a dentist do anything like it before and don't trust his 10 second exam. I have used Aspen clinics in other cities I have lived in and enjoyed the experience. The only thing good about this place was I was able to make an appointment within a few days of when I called. About after the horrific service I received I understand why they weren't booked up like many other dentist offices. read more
