Awful. I got multiple fillings done last summer, June '24. They mentioned gingivitis during the initial appointment but at that time it wasn't my concern - I was told by Everyone Family Dental I needed root canals - I wanted a second opinion. They decided just fillings is what I needed. Two days in a row they worked on my teeth. After a few days post op, #15 was in excruciating pain, which you can see why, they dug so far that it's literally at the pulp. I called them back and said that I was in intense pain. They told me I had to get and pay for a $300 gingivitis treatment before they would even LOOK at the tooth. I was bawling I was so upset and in pain. THEY caused the pain! How are you going to upsell me a service during your wrong doing? I was desperate, I couldn't find an oral surgeon that would take me in immediately. I stuck it out with Orajel, OTC pain meds (they didn't even offer to send a script for) and dealt with it until I could get into somewhere. Soonest was out in Joliet - by the time the appointment came around the tooth stopped hurting and I cancelled the appointment with Joliet and went about my life - fast forward to a year later, the pulp died so I didn't feel pain or an infection forming. I am having systematic issues and have been for many many months, my body is in constant inflammation, hives, palpitations, yeast overgrowth, achy joints - it's no longer just a tooth infection, it has entered many areas of my body. I currently have thrush that has just developed over the last couple weeks. I have heart problems I've never had before. I was a very healthy, active woman and this company took that from me by their malpractice. I had routine cleanings, but never an X-ray so the infection was silently brewing for a year. I have an appointment scheduled to get it pulled tomorrow but also have a cardiologist appointment Thursday that I feel I should go to first to ensure my heart can handle an infected tooth extraction. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE to go here, they are for the money and will be sure to try and get you back for more. DO NOT RISK YOUR LIFE WITH THESE PEOPLE! I had scheduled an appointment for a cleaning on September 26th at 11 am they called me at 7 am and asked if I could come in earlier and I was like yeah sure what time do u want me to come in they said 10 so I came in at 9:30 and filled out paperwork on the tablet no issue then I sat there and waited for another hour for them to call my name finally just for them to take X-rays and tell me I have gingivitis when I was in waiting room I overheard at least 3-4 other patients being told they have gingivitis and when the actual doctor came to see me I had asked well what about the cleaning and he said oh well we can't do the cleaning if you have early stage gingivitis and then I was like ok well when can we and he said you'll have to sort that out with the person who handles all the costs of service so I sat down with her and she was trying to tell me I had to pay 2 thousand dollars for gingivitis treatment when all I wanted was my teeth cleaned then when they were explaining to me what the "deep cleaning" process was to take care of gingivitis it just seemed like what any other normal cleaning procedure is at any other dentist office so me personally I think they are just trying to scare you into thinking you have gingivitis to get you to spend an ungodly amount of money for something you may or may not need and now I still have to schedule another appointment somewhere else to actually get my teeth professionally cleaned which again is what I was there for to begin with! read more

I had heard bad things about this place but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, seeing as how it was 15 min from my house. However, I should have listened to the warnings. I showed up to my appointment and was told to expect a 30-40 min wait due to a call off. I had no problem with that, the lobby was visibly full of patients. I informed the receptionist that I didn't mind waiting, but that I had an appt w my academic advisor in 2 hours. She understood and repeated the estimated 30-40 min wait. The 30 min wait time turned into an 1 hour. Three patients who had walked in after me were called back before I was. That hour then turned into nearly 90 min, which is when the receptionist informed me that I couldn't be seen.... after already waiting nearly 90 min... I asked if I could come back later and was told no. I'm happy to have verified the bad rumors with my own experience. I will gladly make the hour trip to see my original dental clinic: Dekalb Dental Group. (PS: they take new patients and have a much bigger clinic with more staff) read more

If I could give this place a "minus" I would. Stay away from this place. All they care about is money. Major pain after surgery, needed adjustments to be made, they said they made them, I still couldn't wear them. I called to make another appt advising about the major pain and my appt is scheduled for 9 days later, even though they advertise that they have "walk-ins" available for emergencies!!! This company needs to be shut down! They play nice and concerning at first and then after your exam they begin to belittle you about even the most minor dental issues. I went in for a simple wisdom tooth extraction and before I knew it they were trying to bully me into getting procedures that I didn't even need and tried to harass me into giving them a $5000 advance on the dental, which include extracting eight teeth and they insisted I be fitted for dentures. I left angry and almost feeling hurt. I went to another dentist and showed him the paperwork they gave me that list all the procedures I supposedly needed. He said the only thing on the list that was valid were wisdom teeth extractions, and filling three cavities, and said he found no reason why they would insist that I need eight back teeth pulled, and that my teeth were healthy otherwise. If you want to go here, Google them first. This chain has had at least 11 lawsuits that span the country for similar issues that I have described. BE WARNED!!! They don't even deserve a one rating. In 2016 my husband got his dentures there. We chose the middle ones, I think it was around $900. Within a few months a tooth came out! He had had the teeth fall out 5 times. This last one it was his front tooth and he swallowed it. Since we move yearly for his job we have to go to a local aspen dental. The last time (about 3 months ago) the dentist said they were made poorly. My husband asked for them to put that in writing and they didn't. Too bad they protect each other. After he gets this tooth fixed we will now have to buy new dentures. That was $900 down the drain!!! read more

The dentist here is fine. He seems to care and does pretty good work. The office staff seems to have no idea what is going on. I paid my bill in full during visits based on the summary they gave me. Nothing changed from the original treatment plan. One month after I finished the work that needed done I got another bill for $580 dollars. I called the office and was told someone would get back to me. No one ever called me back. A month later I got another bill for $690. This time I went into the office. They stated that had not estimated correctly because extra services were added. If I had known the real cost, I would have waited for my insurance to roll over again (we were close enough). Also I never added anything extra and the plan was the same as the original they gave me. They also tried to charge me my deductible twice. They sent me to another office to see an oral surgeon (I needed an implant due to a cavity under a crown) and I waited 3 hours there to see him. I had to have an extraction to have the implant and I asked the Peru office three times if they could do it the same day. I asked once while having a filling and I called back twice after reading up on implants. They told me absolutely not. When I saw the surgeon he told me if he'd know he'd have done it that day but he didn't have the implant ordered. The Peru office never checked with him. After seeing the oral surgeon the staff at the other office told me they originally told the Peru office not to send me that they didn't have an opening but the Peru office waited til they closed and sent an email saying I was coming first thing next morning. There are so many headaches when dealing with this office. My frustration with this office has been through the roof and the bills just keep coming even after I was told I had paid in full. Went in for a simple cleaning and check up. Was told I have two small cavities. Schedule an appointment to fix cavities. After having small cavities fixed I could not bite down or eat anything without shooting pain. Went back in they told me I need a root canal. I needed dentures so both my husband and I went to the office in Peru, when making the first appointment they told us they had Saturday hours...pretty much a lie. But we dealt with it anyway. We both purchased the comfi lyte dentures, supposedly their best. Well both my husbands and my teeth started falling out. Finally he had enough and had his remade under warranty. I went in to have mine redone and the girl in the office was so rude I said forget it. But then a year later I lost another tooth and had enough. I went into get mine redone and these teeth look like their cheapest teeth they sell. They didn't bother to put my name back in the new ones like the originals and these do not look anything like they advertise on their website. When I went back in they told me basically that oh it is the comfi lytes I was just in a hurry because I was busy so that's what you get. WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS! I have been going to them as my regular dentist for about a year and couldn't be happier with them. I had put off going to a dentist for as long as I possibly could and finally chose them. I am so glad I did. Not only did they do a great job, they were very kind and gentle with me because of my fear of the dentist. I now go, even tho I still don't like going to the dentist, and look forward to seeing them. I had to have a LOT of work done and it was expensive but when you don't go for over 10 years you are going to have to spend money. I hope you have as good of an experience as I did. NOTE: I just got my final plates and I want to say that I've never had anyone spend as much time and patiences as they did making sure it was feeling right., Told me to come back as often as needed to make it feel comfortable. I'm a new patient and have been thoroughly pleased with the dentist and entire staff. They are all very friendly (they actually seem happy to be there), competent and caring. So, it's a 5 star ranking for the Peru office. Wish I could say the same for corporate. I have to give them ZERO stars. Wow where to start. This place is a trap they get you in with cheap exam then tell you all that they will do to make your teeth good They make you pay for all of the treatment plan before they do anything and when things do not go as they promise. I paid them $3500 to pull one tooth and make top dentures and a bottom partial. The top denture fits badly I had at least 15 appointments for them to get it right but they failed they made me a bottom temporary partial that was supposed to be followed by a permanent partial all of that was supposed to have been included in the price that I paid I have not been able to where the bottom at all and the top plate does not fit very good at all stay away from this place get a good local dentist these people are just there to rob you of your hard earned money read more

I am extremely pleased after my first visit to this dentist. The hygienist is a doll. I noticed that in addition to her license to practice as a hygienist, she also has a Bachelors of Science. They were not pushy about upgrades and recommended the treatment plan that I've read is best. The office was CLEAN and pleasant. Equipment was modern and new. Everyone was very friendly. I HOPE that next years insurance includes this practice in our network. read more

This is a finely tuned rip off dental office. I went in and they without asking did a full 20+ xray exam, insurance only pays once every 3 yrs for this. I was then seen by the dentist who said I have 4 cavaties and pre periodontal disease. Then I was swiftly shuffled off into their business office, who then proceeded to tell me it would cost me approx $1600 out of pocket. I said I have Delta Dental Premier PPO, one of the best you can have and have never had to pay out of pocket for any procedures.i cried all the way home for the treatment and the amount of greed people today have. You should see their office and office staff for a few patients at a time! I called Delta Dental, they said I was completely covered and they should NOT be charging for anything beyond they contract they have in place. So I went to a dentist my husband has been going to for yrs, btw my husband DOES have periodontal disease. It turns out I have NO cavities and no periodontal pockets or disease.
