The dentist assured me he could save those 10 teeth and make a partial bottom plate. I turned out to do that and was VERY happy with the results. I did have to have one tooth pulled on the bottom that left me with 10. I never once felt pain of discomfort. the whole experience was awesome. I returned in 6 months to a check up and for the first time in my life I have no issues with my teeth, upper plate, and bottom partial.

They went on further to say they wouldn't reschedule me anymore since I have had to reschedule different times. I had explained I am a full time student, part time worker and have a family to take care of, but I guess that did not matter. My concerned mother called their office about this and she was treated terribly. The people on the phone even raised their voice at her for using the word "honey". This is unacceptable especially in what's supposed to be a friendly close knit community. I already have terrible anxiety about the dentist to begin with and this has just made it worse, honestly. If they will treat me like that before making it to the office, makes me wonder how they will treat me in the chair. I can't comment on the actual dental care, it could be good or it could be bad but, what I can comment on is their customer service and it is bad. I can not recommend this for a person who has a life outside that dental office or someone that has anxiety about the dentist.

Emergency Refused, Forced Procedures, and Opaque Billing…read more​Reason for Visit: Broken Tooth & Severe Pain (Initial weekend visit and subsequent appointments) ​My experience at Signature Smiles in Pikeville, KY, was extremely disappointing, painful, and ultimately led to a frustrating and unclear billing dispute. ​My initial visit was due to an urgent issue--a broken tooth causing significant pain. Despite the emergency nature of the visit, I was immediately refused treatment for the broken tooth. I was told I needed a cleaning and X-rays first. Over the next several weeks, I returned multiple times due to persistent pain from the original broken tooth, but the staff and providers continually prioritized non-urgent, revenue-generating procedures instead of addressing the source of my pain. ​During these visits, I felt pressured into receiving services that were non-essential and secondary to my primary concern, including a full cleaning, tooth enamel scraping, and polishing. While these are routine maintenance procedures, my sole reason for being there was the debilitating pain from the broken tooth. I felt my urgent health needs were ignored in favor of general dentistry work. ​When the team finally agreed to perform the necessary root canal and repair on the broken tooth--months after my initial emergency visit--I paid the required co-pay. However, months later, I received a demand for an outstanding balance of over $580. ​This balance was presented with zero transparency. The office has been unable or unwilling to provide a clear, itemized bill detailing the services performed or an explanation of benefits (EOB) showing exactly what my insurance paid and what they didn't. Given that many of the procedures performed (cleaning, scaling, polishing) were not what I asked for or needed during my state of emergency, I have serious questions about the validity of these charges. ​This practice demonstrated a failure to prioritize patient comfort and urgent care, followed by highly questionable billing and collection practices. I strongly advise anyone with an emergency or who values clear financial transparency to seek treatment elsewhere.

She gladly ran our insurance for us to determine the cost. Thank God my Blue Cross/Blue Shield was accepted. They ask you to allow 30-minutes prior to your appointment for completion of the paperwork and it took it. The paperwork was extensive but not unusual for the first visit to a medical visit. The building is well laid out and the address is easy to navigate to. The waiting room on our visit could have been a little larger since several people were waiting. The waiting room was equipped with a television and public bathroom, just outside the waiting room.
