I initially went to Aspen Dental to get information on dentures and the cost thereof. I only wanted to find out the price, and possibly set up some sort of an arrangement where I could prepay before the procedure and after I had paid completely then have the procedure done. I found that the office people that I was dealing with struggled with English, and I had much trouble trying to convey to the person that I was dealing with what it was I was seeking. She insisted that the only way that could be done was to take advantage of their financing. I told her that I really didn't want to finance them but she insisted that was the only way it could be done. I left the office without signing the finance agreement and told the lady as best I could that I needed to think about it. A couple of days later I got a call from the district supervisor for Aspen and he encouraged me to come back in and get the process started. He was very informed and quite friendly. I Returned several days later for x-rays. In all, over the entire process I had four series of x-rays. Two of the procedures were painful. They eventually identified six teeth that needed to be pulled and appointments were made. When I went for my first actual procedure, the extractions, I was dismayed when the dentist told me that they were going to pull four teeth. And I said what about the other teeth? She replied that that's the only ones they had identified. This prompted another series of x-rays and they confirmed that there were six teeth that needed to be extracted. That was a little bit distressing to know that they didn't even know how many teeth they were going to pull. I had requested that I would be given gas , and was informed of the extra $75 charge for that. I agreed to that. However, when the procedure started and the dentist placed the gas mask over my face and told me to inhale, I found that I couldn't pull any air out of the gas mask. I pulled the mass aside to tell her that and she tried to hold the gas mask over my face. Eventually she got the message and her and her assistant made some adjustments to the tank and pressed the gas mask over my face again and it was the same as the first time. There was no air that could be pulled out of the mass no matter how hard I tried to inhale. This happened again then as they struggled with adjusting the tanks and such. But the dentist would press the gas mask hard against my face and I could not get any air. I felt like I was suffocating or being suffocated. They took the gas tanks out of the room and came back later and said they had it fixed. This time. I could pull air out of it after having been suffocated three times, but I could tell that what I was breathing was not anything other than air. The dentist talked entirely during the procedure telling me about her days in college and all of her friends. I guess this was to distract me from the fact that I wasn't being administered gas. The teeth were pulled, impressions were made, and I returned to the office for my initial fitting for the dentures. They were not even close to fitting. They made some adjustments to them in the office and sent me home. A week later I went in for another fitting, this time it was a different dentist. He asked me immediately if I had had a severe overbite when I came in and I told him no. He said that the dentures were not correct and he would remake them. It was the lower dentures that did not fit and after another week I received My dentures. This being my first time with dentures I really did not know what to expect but I really thought that they should fit better. I lived with it. I had to use a lot of denture adhesive to keep them in, and they were prone to coming loose all the time. After having these dentures for a while, the lower dentures actually broke in my mouth with very sharp pointed pieces. I was hesitant to go back to Aspen because of the way I was treated the first time so I went to a different dentist. My insurance paid for the first $1,000 to fix the lower dentures, but that still left me with almost $500. More to pay to have these 1-year-old dentures repaired. I was charged for gas even though I maintain. I never ever got gas. I think their tanks were empty and rather than told me that they didn't have any gas, she just decided to give me Oxygen and proceed with the procedure. I had the impression that the dentist that did this was new. I am sure that Aspen Dental probably has some very good dentist there, however, this was not my experience. I would be fearful to return to Aspen Dental myself. This may not be a big factor but the office had a Christmas tree up and it was almost May. I would not recommend this Aspen Dental in Plant City to anybody else. I am still paying for the dentures that I got at Aspen, and they have broken twice. read more

on November 15, 2024 I had overlay dentures made. After Insurance and dental deduction, my cost of over $27,000. march 30 I have a tooth fall out, May 21 another tooth fell out and now on June 21 another tooth has fallen out. I was told that they are made out of plastic and that it was common and that I had a seven-year warranty and I could come back as needed . Instead of making a new plate they offered for me to purchase a second plate for emergency use add an additional cost. read more

This office may actually be scamming people out of money in my opinion. The three of us, my daughter, fiancé, and myself all went for a free consult to potentially set up new service in a new town. We ALL received multiple thousand dollar estimates for suspected cavities, cleanings, etc. only 1/3 of us had a correct treatment plan recommended based of second, and third opinions I went to another dentist, was told I not only didn't have 4 cavities like aspen said I did, I was also told the cleaning with scaling was overboard as all I needed was a basic cleaning (had scaling done 4 months prior). It took US calling them repeatedly in the first place to even receive a estimate for my fiancé. She went to a different dentist than I did today, and it was confirmed that she ALSO did not have cavities in the place reported nor did she even need a cleaning. Here's the kicker, Aspen MISSED her actual cavity completely and she now needs a route canal in a tooth that they did not even report an issue with. I'm not sure if your equipment is malfunctioning, your employees are inept, both?! Please do not go here by any means, I don't think it's a coincidence, and many other reviews will show a similar experience read more

Absolutely horrible -do not go here. My dentures broke after they "repaired" the break and they would not stand behind their shoddy work. They initially charged me 190$ for the repair and wanted to charge me again to repair the dentures again when they broke in half in the exact same place when I had a only put them in my mouth. Plant City location... had my mothers lower dentures fixed and bought complete upper level dentures for her. The upper level dentures worked out very well and the lower level dentures broke in the exact same place within a month. My mother is elderly and very very hard to get out to the dentist. They refused to even look at the lower broken dentures without having my mother come in. They flatly refused. It was broken in the exact same place it would've been an easy fix.. nope. read more

Wow...I'm an old guy so plenty of work done in my years. Had to have a Root Canal and this had to be the easiest and painless I've ever had! Dr. El-Hennawey was awesome! Her and her assistant was the nicest, caring and professional ladies I've had in awhile! What a scam, sold me the most expensive denture with a 7 year warranty, had said denture 3 days and the front tooth popped out while out to dinner with a group of people. I went to the office on Monday and told them what happened. The receptionist said let me see what I can do, I said you will fix it what you will do. Nobody apologized, the dentist did not talk to me, nor the lab tech. Yes I was upset who wouldn't be, but I did not talk poorly to anyone, however they said I was rude and can never come back. Really, I bet I seek legal recourse, you cannot sell a warranty and then refuse to honor it. How shady can you be. read more

Lying, thieving pieces of dirt. Booked a teeth cleaning, showed up and said I had an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. Had the procedure and they wanted to charge me $750 for a gum treatment. The cleaning was either free, or minimal expense, as it was covered by insurance. I refused to pay for something I didn't authorize, and was treated quite rudely. I've had experience with a couple of dental places in just one year in Plant City. The offices don't have the latest equipment like Aspen does and their pricing is not as reasonable as Aspen. I appreciated all of the honest information and reasoning behind the info that Aspen provided. I wish they had opened sooner in Plant City. BEWARE! This place is like no other I have even experienced! Luckily for me, my insurance changed companies and Aspen is not a provider. However, recently I made an appointment at one of their offices and couldn't believe that I was asked to pay BEFORE any work was done. I have never heard of this type of mistrust???? That would be like your hair stylist or barber asking for his money in advance just in case you don't like the haircut! This gave me a weird feeling and needless to say, I did not become a patient. Also, during the preliminary discussion., I was told that you will not have the same dentist each time you come in for work. I think everyone likes to know WHO their dentist is going to be! i received a call this afternoon from my mom after she visited this dentist office because of how horribly she was treated. she was visiting the office where she said she was questioned by multiple people in the office after walking down the hall to the restroom and to grab a brochure to read while she waited. she said they made her feel like a child and like she was doing something wrong and was extremely uncomfortable the entire time she was in the office after being scolded for getting up from her seat. i was so upset to know my mother was treated this was by a healthcare worker whose job it is to treat someone with dignity and respect while receiving medical or dental care. she does not deserve this treatment and i would absolutely not recommend this office to anyone. this office and dentist should be ashamed and embarrassed by their actions today knowing they made someone feel as bad as they made my mom feel today read more

If I could not choose any stars for this office, that is what I would choose. Very poor organization and communication. I had a consultation appointment, teeth cleaning, and treatment plan set up and completed. I was contacted on the day of my consultation visit and asked to come in early, which I did and then ended up waiting for a half hour after my originally scheduled appointment to even be seen (total of waiting an hour). I was supposed to receive a call back the day after my consultation with an out of pocket estimate for my treatment plan. I never received that call and attempted to call back and left a message, still with no return call. When I was finally able to get through to the office manager she advised me that she was not able to verify my insurance and therefore could not give me the quote. I had to call my insurance myself and verify my member ID and confirm that I was covered and explain to the office manager how to submit my claims. I was contacted about my dental cleaning appointment as they had "double booked" the appointment and would need to change it. This involved several phone calls back and forth and ultimately a phone call the following day advising me to just keep the same appointment time as they were able to change the other persons appointment. Luckily I had not changed my schedule with work yet. So I had the cleaning, approached the office manager about my treatment plan cost while I was there and was advised by her that she would again contact me the next day. Two weeks later, being advised that there was nothing on my chart advising of a treatment plan, and multiple messages left with STILL no return call. Today was the last call in which I requested for my X Rays to be forwarded to another local office. read more
