Unfortunately, this is the only dentist office in my area that takes my insurance according to my insurance website.
I have had two fillings they have done fall out....the first one I didn't notice so it was filled again with other fillings at a later time. With these fillings, there were rough edges and points that kept me from being able to clench my teeth properly for chewing and catching floss. They say nothing was wrong, I persisted so they hit the fillings with a grinder and sent me on my way with the problem persisting.
Had another filling done recently that was done by the head honcho dentist. He said it was shallow so they didn't numb me up. Less than 14 days later, I started getting pain and the filling fell out. I made an appt to have it redone. They couldn't get me in for almost another 14 days. During this time, I had a hole in my tooth. They finally get it redone (again with no numbing, by a different dentist) and about 10 days later, I start getting pain again when I eat....as if the filling is moving around. I test this by using a dental pick to push on the filling. Lo and behold, it hurts when I do this. So, I make an appt to have it looked at. About a week later they get me in. The lady dentist pokes and prods and says there is nothing wrong so she calls another dentist in to confirm. He says he doesn't see anything wrong either. I say but then why does it hurt when I push on the filling? his response " don't do that" Im thinking to myself WTF?!?!?! Finally, they agree that I must have a microscopic crack in my tooth and that's what is causing the pain so they give me a referral to an endodontist.(?) I swear, If I go and this endo says its the filling, I will tell them to send the bill to Aspen Dental for payment and NOT to bill my insurance!!!!
EDIT 12/17/15: Lost job 14 days after writing the review posted 12/8/2014 so I was never able to go to the endodontist they referred me to. New job, finally new insurance, and......still the only dentist within 30 miles that accepts the insurance I have. So, I call on Thursday 12/10/15 to make an appt. @ 10:50am....well within their business hours. I get a recording, so I hang up and try again multiple times, getting their voicemail each time. I finally gave in and left a message stating my name, date, time, callback number and that I wanted to make an appt. Here we are a week later (Thursday, 12/17/15) and have yet to receive a call, voicemail or email....nothing!! Maybe they read these reviews and are ignoring me??
EDIT 1/4/16: Here we are almost a whole month later from when I left a message for an appt. and still no call back. I would recommend you visit a different dentist.
I will add that I forgot to mention in my original review, I get the same Hygenist every time and she is very nice. read more
