Scheduled an appointment to have a filling repair done. Instead of doing the repair during one of the few times I have available to schedule personal visits like this, they only used it to make an estimate and push me back out the door . Problem is still unresolved, I still don't have the help I need and now it needs a full extraction because they didn't help me even though i scheduled my appointment accordingly before showing up. Stop trying to push more expensive treatments and actually get people in for the help they are scheduling when they're scheduling it! ***response to their response. If you're considering Motto aligners through Aspen Dental, don't. I went in believing this appointment was simply to pick up my aligners and begin my teeth-straightening journey (in addition to getting a cavity filled). Instead, while my mouth was numb from a cavity filling, the provider used tools to shave down my teeth without any explanation, education, or my informed consent. I was never told this would be done, why it was necessary, or what the long-term impact would be. To make matters worse, I was not given a welcome kit, instructions, a retainer, or any clear guidance on next steps. The communication throughout this process has been horrible, leaving me confused, distressed, and feeling completely disregarded as a patient. I now have permanent, irreversible changes to my teeth that I did not want or agree to, and I am pursuing legal action as a result. This experience was shocking, traumatic, and entirely avoidable. Patients deserve transparency, consent, and basic communication -- none of which I received here. read more

I recently finished a procedure that took several months and lots of emotions. When I came in for my final visit Kelly called my name and escorted me from the waiting room, and I could genuinely feel her excitement for me for the end of my journey. I was met in back by Jenni who has been my rock through it all. Had it not been for all of the encouragement and reassurance from these girls and from the rest of the staff, I don't know that I would have gotten through all of this so easily. Went in to have a tooth looked at. "Exam and X-rays are covered by your insurance" Great! They did the X-rays, suggested mouth guard for sleeping. "Covered by insurance except $1500" I'll pass on that for now. "You have a free cleaning due, covered 100% by insurance" ok. Came back in March to get that done. In April, get a bill from them for the cleaning. Called and was told insurance denied because I didn't have a free cleaning due yet. Reminded them that they told me it would be free. So I went there and had gotten an exam and they told me that I had seven cavities. Well I didn't have insurance at the time and couldn't afford to have them fixed at the time but I did give them $400 as a down payment that I'll never get back. Well a year and half later now that I have insurance I went to my local dentist and come to find out that I have zero cavities! How does that work?!?! Huh?? This place is a scam. They charge for services not rendered and require a deposit for appointments. Despite their 2 page refund policy, they do not provide a refund to your request, and I am owed $200. In addition, they were going to perform over $1500 of unnecessary work. I found this out after going to a reputable dentist. They are currently being sued by the state of NY. Do NOT go here. Finally found a dentist in Rochester. Love the building, nice and clean, brand new. They're very professional. They called me to confirm my appt as well as texted, which may have been excessive. You can reply C to the text to confirm! They're between hygienists and one of their dentists is on maternity leave, so their appointments are a little tight. They do one Saturday a month so I'm sure that fills up quick. I went in the same day and got my evaluation- they skipped the X-rays due to my pregnancy. I got a cleaning 2 days later. Super quick and their covering hygienist from Owatonna is great, friendly and efficient. This is comparable to my Detroit dentist who I loved. I went to Northwest Dental to fix a broken tooth months ago and was appalled by the price. Here they discuss everything ahead of time so there are no surprises. They take Delta insurance which is what I have. If you need a dentist I suggest coming here! read more

My visit to Aspen Dental was an unfortunate disappointment. While visiting my daughter here in Rochester the crown that I had recently had placed at home came loose. I called two days earlier for an appointment giving them my insurance information which was advertised they accepted. On arrival to the clinic I found they had made no effort to contact my insurance but took me back for X-rays which had been done by my dentist two months earlier when the crown was placed. This was done before the dentist had reviewed anything with me. I left the dental office upset with the impersonal and thoughtless care I received. read more

All of the staff at Aspen Dental are great. The dentist (Dr. Burge) specifically told me I didn't need an expensive procedure another dentist said I did. Moreover, the dental assistants are kind and quick. The payment process is incredibly transparent, and they tell you exactly how much it will cost BEFORE doing the treatments. I needed a mouthguard for significant grinding/clenching that caused two teeth to fracture, and the team made it the same day since they knew I was worried about further damage. I came in ONLY to have my upper denture repaired. I was told when appointment was made that I was already checked in and would see tech at 11:00. I got there and was put in a chair and charged for it, x-rays were taken to the tune of what I'm allowed for a year. I was told this HAD to be done because I was a new patient. Boloney! it was done because you knew I had insurance that would pay and a denture I NEEDED repaired so I wouldn't be able to say no. This was unethical and dishonest behavior.
