Pure evil, predatory, lying, manipulative, incompetent and neglectful. They all seem super nice and friendly but then it turns out to all be a show. They assured me they contacted my insurance and I was completely covered for the X-rays and initial exam. This was the beginning of 2023. The dentist saw me for maybe 5 minutes and told me everything was fine even with my complaints of a painful tooth. She then told me I may need a root canal at some point. They then told me I wasn't going to be able to get my teeth cleaned for over a year because they have no one to work there for them. They then tried to sell me $30 toothpaste. A few months went by and I started to receive bills and they kept trying to blame my insurance and I had to keep going back and forth and playing phone tag and anytime they said they would email me or call me back, they never did. It took forever for them to drop the charges that they assured me that I would not have to pay for any of it. They signed their signature on the paperwork and then they have the audacity to tell me I owe them money. They tried to blame their employee saying she doesn't work at the office regularly. This all left me feeling really uncomfortable and unsafe so I tried getting a new dentist. They're refusing to send my new dentist my x-rays. They keep saying that they're not receiving the releases. I asked them to release my records to me and I still haven't received them yet. My new dentist said they could get me in around February (this was back in 12/2023) and now I called again in late January and because Aspen is refusing to release my records they can't get in to see me until April. I have spoken to people who have worked there and have been informed that they are known for lying and being manipulative and predatory and indolent. I feel like a lot of their reviews on Google are fake. I'm horrified that their rating on Google is so high. read more

The office in West Lebanon, N.H., never provides an itemized summary of costs. The result is a statement that overcharges for services. I have tried several times to get an accurate accounting, to no avail. The problem is that a patient MUST pay in advance for service. Given that I needed immediate attention, the staff at Aspen Dental put a figurative gun to my head before I could be treated: overpay or no treatment. I have dental insurance that tells me what I owe Aspen Dental. I know that I have been overcharged. read more

Aspen dental isn't really a dentist, but rather a corporatized dental practice which specializes in locking it's patients into debt and leading to complaints of its patients being overcharged or given unnecessary treatments. Their staff have been trained in high-pressure sales tactics. Yes, they accept most dental insurance but if the patient is still short on cash, they will sign you up for a 'no-interest' credit card of which they profit from. Yes, they do offer free exams, but they're just another sales tactic to scare and pressure you into unnecessary treatments, thus maximizing they're revenue. Their Dentist and Patient Representatives are usually given a quota each quarter and face repercussions and even termination if it isn't meant. I visited Aspen in February for a broken tooth. I was, like all patients, provided a free exam. They took X-rays and a dentist sat down and looked over my teeth. I told that I had several cavities and that my broken tooth would have to extracted and replaced with an implant. The dentist then sent me to see there patient service representative who gave me an invoice for approximately $7,000 after insurance. From there they sat me down and went over all possible finance options, including they're no interest credit card. At no point was I given a the opportunity to speak then dentist and throughly discuss treatment. The representative kept trying to pressure me into applying for the credit card and putting a down payment down right then and there. At this point I saw nothing but red flags. I advised that I'd like to get a second opinion as I was unsure about the cost and the recommend treatment. I was told I could, but they stressed the importance of booking as soon as possible as special finance offers wouldn't last and that new patients were booking regularly. I know now that this was just another sales tactic. Even after telling the rep I wanted to think it over, they still guilted me into booking a deep cleaning for $330. In their defense it was more than likely needed as I hadn't been to a dentist in sometime. I had since located another dentist with a private practice. She advised that I only had two cavities and that my broken tooth could be treated with a root canal and crown. She also confided in me that my the deep cleaning I received from their hygienist wasn't that good and that I still had stains and calculus in between my teeth. She back this evidence up with photos of my teeth she had taken during my preliminary exam. I was flabbergasted that Aspen had not only lied about the severity of my teeth but recommend an extraction and implant that I not only didn't need, but couldn't afford. Upon doing my own research, I discovered others who had fallen for bogus treatment recommendations that not only lead to sever debt, but medical complications with they're teeth and mouth. Investigative reporting from Frontline-PBS and ProPublica support the narrative that Aspen is nothing more than a for profit business that puts the dollar before the patient. I plead with the community of Rutland to no longer seek dental care from Aspen. They have no place in our community until they change their for profit culture. read more

I went to Aspen Dental for their "free consultation". I've been to many dental offices in my day but this is the FIRST dental office I've seen where the manager is in charge of the doctors. That's right, the manager of the office is the boss over the doctors! I saw the dentist, who was young but seemed confident but after my consult I was immediately escorted to the reception area to schedule my next appointment, but apparently the dentist was supposed to show me to the office manger to discuss payment instead. The office manager (who is not a doctor) almost scolded the dentist right in front of me. You could see the dentist himself was very apologetic to the office manager...it was quite embarrassing. I made an appointment for a cleaning which I never showed up for. I want to attend a dentist office where the DOCTOR is the boss, not the office manager in charge of making money for the office. read more

Cancelled and rescheduled 3 out of 4 out of the last four cleaning appointments and tried to reschedule one they had rescheduled before. Utterly undependable. Cleanings are very fast and you only see a dentist every other visit. At times they seem to have only one technician for this practice. I've reached my tolerance and am heading elsewhere. read more

My experience there was so awful. I had an appointment at noon and I waited till 1:00 to have the person at the front desk tell me that They couldn't get to me till 5:00. I go back to the dentist to my cavity filled. They bring me in the back room and sit me down and gave me the Novacaine and the head dentist and the assistant leave the room. I was waiting for 40 minutes till they came back to me. By the time they decided to drill in my cavity it was already worn off. They persisted to drill anyway and they got angry at me for the novacine had wore off. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a dentist. read more

This place is a joke! I scheduled an online appointment on their website for an Invisalign consult- I received a call the following day that the time slot I scheduled was already booked and could I switch my day and time- which I did. The morning of my new appointment, I received a call- they are short staffed and can't see me- would I mind re-scheduling?!? Seriously- you have cancelled two appointments on me in three days!!! I opted not to re-schedule. Then today, I receive an email telling me I missed my appointment! That office needs to get it together. Now I'm glad they kept cancelling, it must have been a sign from above that I was meant to go to another orthodontist. read more

All I can say is run as fast as you can. Had appt back April. The dentist and hygienist were very professional. I knew going in I needed major dental work work, they take you to the office financial person. She is very unprofessional, discusses your finances right out in open. Contacted Aspen for an emergency consult while visiting Rutland. Although initially overbooked and given a later appointment, the remainder of the visit was great. All the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful - they were amazing. I was seen promptly, x-rays were taken and I received a great consult from the dentist - more than 30 minutes. Her recommendations were very helpful. In the end, when they found out I would be leaving Rutland the next day they did not charge me for the visit. read more

It's difficult to describe my experience because out of about 8 scheduled and confirmed appointments for my family, only two were not cancelled. We were not informed about two of the cancelled ones until we arrived at Aspen Dental. It has now been 7 months since the first appointments scheduled (and cancelled by AD) and one of my children still has not had a single dentist appointment. One has had half an appointment, because there was no hygienist available. I will be finding a new dentist for our whole family. read more

Aspen dental in Rutland Vermont is the worst dentist office I have even been to. Dr boushaba performed a simple baby tooth extraction. He did not wait long enough for the pain killer to set in and told my wife she didn't feel pain after she said she could still feel. She asked him to stop but he continued anyways. For the safety of your mouth, I would strongly recommend you go else where to get ANY DENTAL WORK DONE. One star is the lowest I can give. read more

Made a 2:00 appt. Gave them personal info (including SSN) and insurance info over the phone, as requested by Aspen Dental. Upon arrival, I was asked to fill out 5 forms with the exact same info that was taken over the phone earlier. After waiting 1 HOUR I asked WTF was taking so long. A tech took me back to do a preliminary exam. She then informed me that, after doing 2 types of X rays (despite just doing them 6 months ago and no prior history of cavities, etc), I'd need to RESCHEDULE another appointment to do the cleaning! I flipped out and was ready to leave for another dental office. The staff then rushed to accommodate me and had me out with all services I schedule by 5PM. Dentist claimed that I needed 6 fillings, which I find suspicious, since a dental exam 6 months prior did not mention anything of cavities or filling at all, nor do I have any pain at all. DO NOT GO HERE, and if you do, STAND UP FOR YOURSELF! read more

i have been going to another dentist in glens falls NY but decided to switch to aspen dental in Rutland because it is short drive there ... i was told they were a GHI participating provider , my wife went there and had a exam and xrays , after they wanted us to sit down with a financial person , for what ?? if they are a ghi provider under there contract that they sign with ghi,they have to accept what ghi pays for the certain procedures ,what they try to do is give you this very high "pre determination" so they can submit it to ghi .then they want to do all this unnecessary work and have you pay the difference !!! what a rip off !! i called aspen and asked them for there tax id number so ghi could investigate ..boy did i stir up a hornets nest ,double talk,lies .. i have never had to pay 1 cent out of pocket in 24 years of going to a ghi participating dentist ,they wanted my wife to pay 44 $$ for a co pay for teeth cleaning ,i dont think so thats what i pay my insurance premiums for .. i will never go there again ,and will tell every person who asks about them to avoid them at all costs !! read more
