The actual Care I think, was good. Dental staff was very nice. It was the office/billing that was so terrible! They tell you something is gonna cost something and your insurance is gonna pay something, and then you pay your part. A month later you are shocked to get a huge bill in the mail! Not only that, I also experienced them scheduling me before my insurance allowed and therefore I ended up paying full price without any insurance due to their error! I will never, ever go to Aspen Dental again! Be careful, too: they will make you purchase all kinds of products, and you think insurance is going to cover it and then wham! You are billed for everything at full price. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the care was pretty good. read more

I came into Aspen Dental for what should have been a simple repair to my upper denture. Instead of showing any interest in repairing it, I felt like the focus was entirely on trying to sell me a brand-new denture. As a patient, I expected options, honest advice, and an attempt to help me with the repair I requested. Instead, I left feeling disappointed and pressured into spending money on something I neither wanted nor came in for. If I could give zero stars I would. 1) I was hit with a barage of Xrays, when I just had Xrays 6 months ago. They didn't ask for the prior records 2) I am 61 years old and have no cavilites or fillings. I have all my teeth and like anyone my age I have mild gum recession. Of course They call it periodontal disease and they recommend a deep cleaning. I dont want a deep cleaning now because I cant afford it. I only want a standard cleaning and in the future when I can afford it I would consider the deep cleaning. 3) They say that it would bve 'unethical' and 'malpractice' to only give me a standard cleaning. They refuse to give me a cleaning. So isn't it 'unethical' to send away a patient that needs a cleaning? I would have happily signed a release but theat was not an option. I felt that I was in in a auto bnody chop shop where the slightest dent was going to be a whole new paint job. THis place is a corporate joke that only wants you money and is not concerned about working with the patient and atleast giving them the basic care. read more

Dr. Sam and his MA, Freida were great. Very attentive and friendly. Got initial appointment quickly for a broken molar and they were able to get me in later that day for an extraction. Dental work is expensive and they wanted payment up front, which was ok in my case as I didn't want to hang out after getting sutures. Never waited more than 10 minutes after arrival for all 4 appointments (initial exam, extraction, suture removal, & deep cleaning). read more

This is 1st worst experience I ever had!! I have braces and at my last appointment I was informed by hygienist that me having braces with wires would be ok!! So when I walked in for my cleaning when it goes to shit!! Another hygienist wasn't happy that I had wires on!! I explained that the last one told me it was ok!! She ended up talking to me like a child being scolded!! I explained to I had ortho appt day before and my mouth was sore! While cleaning my teeth I'm not sure if on purpose she hit my teeth a few times with the tools she using!! Was wasn't verbally telling me if I needed to open wider!! There was a few places that while cleaning she hurt me an I flench,! She huffs and like I annoyed her and says you ok? This happened several times!! To where in my mind I wanted to ask her if she was ok! If she was having a bad day!! She even pulls on my wire at one point I like to think accidentally with a tool, again annoyed with me rolling her eyes after again I explained that I am tender from appointment day before!! After the torture treatment we discussed my son!! To again she is talking to me like a child who needs to scolded due to I ask the I think check out person about his (my sons) last appointment!! I didn't go due to it was an urgent appointment!!! I am sorry she had to work on Saturday, I know she was having a bad day'!! I was pressured into agreeing to more work done than I could afford and was tricked into signing for it. I wound up being charged over twice the amount I agreed to pay. When they had me sign electronically, the amount I agreed to pay only showed $453.00 on the computer screen. They later "corrected" the amount to $853.00 without getting my permission. I told them from the beginning I only wanted the one tooth that was bothering me to be treated and I would get the cleaning done at a dental school. They said the school was not qualified (a lie) and that they didn't want to fill the tooth without cleaning around it so as not to seal infection in when they filled. But they did not clean the side of my mouth that the bad tooth was on until after they filled it. My insurance company said they would only pay to have the left side of my mouth cleaned and apparently did not believe the right side - where the infected tooth was - needed a deep cleaning. They charged the credit account they pressured me into opening $853.00 and billed me an additional $200.00 that I am assuming was for an electric toothbrush and gum cleaner, toothpaste and mouthwash that they never asked me if I wanted or told me what the price would be. I should have checked their reviews before doing business with them as they had MANY bad reviews from customers who were cheated as well. Aspen has also had class action law suits filed against them. read more

I think it is important for people to know the quality of service they can expect to receive in this clinic. I needed an appointment to have a tooth that had a previous root canal extracted as it had become very sensitive, painful and I had a fever. I had the same experience 2 years prior with another tooth that had a root canal and after doing everything to try to save that tooth, including 4 weeks of antibiotics, an extraction was the end result. I booked the appointment online on a Saturday for an 8 am appointment Monday. That was impressive. There was no where to really include details of why you wanted the appointment so I sent an email with my problem and my request for extraction. When I arrived at the clinic, I was charged $29 for the consult and I made sure the the receptionist knew I was there only for an extraction. As I filled out my form and waited, I overheard an argument with a new male employee on his first day of work and the dentist. The employee said something to the effect that " if this is the way this clinic operates I am having no part of this....." . The employee left. I was in the waiting room thinking hmmm I should leave.... but I did not as I was having severe pain and needed my tooth out. I was then taken in for a series of xrays (18) while reiterating I only wanted an extraction. I was told it was standard practice. From there I saw a Dental Hygenist who counted every surface of my teeth and from her count my whole mouthful of teeth and gums were in immediate demise.... now I was scared that I was going to lose all of my teeth... eventhough I had seen my Dental Hygenist a month previously. I reiterated to her that I was there for pain in my tooth and that I needed it extracted. She ignored what I was saying and asking and shut me up because she was recording then she left the room and I felt dismissed yet she had me scared that my whole mouthful was a mess and I had way more problems than that tooth... Then the dentist came in! He did not listen to my story... he did not listen to me explain my history, experience, ... I asked that he take out my tooth and he refused. He said that was not the problem and would not help my symptoms. He said I needed extensive treatment from the Dental Hygenist and that would cure the problem. I kept asking to have the tooth out but he ignored my requests. I should have left then.... Against my better judgement and the fact I was vulnerable and having a lot of pain and had been frightened for the future of my teeth and gums I felt I had no choice but to succumb to the treatment offered. Next I was sent to the Business Manager to pay over $1900 prior to treatment. Treatment included numbing my whole mouth thus making it difficult to swallow and using a lot of water and the tooth that was infected had antibiotics placed around it ($200 more). She continued to ignore my questions and was condescending. After I paid more on my bill and made a future appointment ( this tells just how scared and vulnerable I was) I left with a prescription for antibiotics and ibuprofen, a water pick, electric toothbrush, toothpaste and mouthwash. I felt humiliated, abused and definitely taken advantage of. ... I have never felt so belittled or felt a loss of power. The story continues because after the antibiotics were finished my tooth was so painful that I had to have an extraction in another country.... That dentist wrote it was infected!! Then complications developed requiring me to be on 5 courses of antibiotics and different pain medications and numerous trips to a dentist and medical doctor ....maybe from the tooth being left too long as it should have been removed by Aspen Dental. Thank you Aspen Dental Titusville Florida. I believe that the treatment i received is rehensible and inexcusable for a professional organization working with the public when they are often vulnerable. Your patients place trust in you and this is a perfect example of taking advantage of patients at their most vulnerable times. In addition, almost $2000 for teeth cleaning that were cleaned about 6 weeks earlier is unbelievable. read more

WARNING TO NEW CUSTOMERS. PLEASE AVOID ASPEN. They will scam you at Aspen dental Titusville. I only wanted annual cleaning, which is covered by my insurance 100%. First, they will insist that they do x-rays and then evaluate your teeth to see what needs to be done. I kept insisting I only want x-rays and cleaning that are covered by my insurance completely and no out of pocket costs. If not I can just go back to my old dentist who was just farther away and wasn't available conveniently for my schedule. Anyway, they said yes of course. xrqys are covered, so I took the xrays. They Dr visited me for 5min and said your teeth are great, so you are only here for cleaning. I concurred. I then had to wait around another 15 minutes, and this is already over an hour past my appointment time with lots of waiting from 1 room to the next. After this wait, I was met by a billing person who sat me down and explained my charges that I would have to pay even with my insurance. I informed her I specifically told the receptionist and the x-rays technician and the dentist that I only want what is covered by insurance. She goes on to explain that I had to pay $166 additional for x-rays and $53 Copay for simple cleaning plus any additional items or services for cleaning. All this for an annual covered cleaning visit. I told her that this is not what I had agreed to when I repeatedly told them all. I only want to do cleaning and any services covered. I walked out and informed my insurance that this place ripped people off and did such things. read more

The front desk gals are pleasant enough, but I had to wait almost 30 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. And after a brief exam, I was ushered into the business office, where I was hustled for $1400 (of which $1000 was financed) just to get a return appointment for an implant. This was in addition to my $1000 insurance benefit! Two hours later I spent almost two hours in the chair - an hour to pull a broken molar, and another hour of drilling in a failed dental implant attempt! The dentist offered to refund my $ or come back in a couple months for another try. Researching other options, since I have little faith he will be successful the next time. Took my son for a cleaning and they demanded 170.00 up front stating my insurance wouldn't cover- that was a lie I called my ins. from the waiting room and they said Aspen never contacted them. Now it's almost 4 weeks later and Im still waiting for Aspen to submit the claim so I can be refunded- and their office manager Brandon will not return phone calls and even left the office knowing I was in the waiting room to talk to him about this. Finally today they have the receptionist call me to tell me they have no idea when I'll be able to get refunded because they use a 3rd party biller - could be weeks could be months. worst experience ever! read more

I was at this Aspen Dental location in Titusville Florida in May with the goal for a cleaning. Being new to the area I was looking for a new Dentist. I was told to "come on in" for X-rays and then we would talk about what I needed. They ensured they took all X-rays first and then told me I could not get a cleaning until September as they were down to one hygienist. This would be a four-month wait. I challenged the office manager as to why they brought me in there under the pretext of getting a "cleaning" and then indicated they only had one hygienist. The office manager became very short and disagreeable. The person making the reservations sat right next to this so-called "Office Manager." They knew what they were doing. This office made sure they spent my once/year X-ray coverage to meet their bottom-line revenue and then could not meet the service that I went there for to begin with. "Bait and switch," once they secured my dental X-ray insurance dollars. I can't remember the last time I felt this cheated. The office manager should be ashamed of herself. I suspect she was told to play these games. I am actually considering contacting my insurance company due to what transpired. I will say I had excellent service at the Plattsburgh, NY location a few years back. Caveat Emptor - Let the buyer beware. read more

This office is totally dishonorable!!!! I paid upfront in full for my several procedures that were needed. Each time I went in I was told I owed more! Checking with my insurance company...This office double coded and never wanted to correct their error. I called numerous times and they don't reply back. We went into the office and was told by Lisa to pay more (which I did) and the rest would be written off. I was assured by Lisa it was taken care of. Two months later I received a threatening bill of collections ! We went back and Lisa "couldn't do anything". We had to take this higher to resolve. They literally just want your money. I told them I just needed my tooth pulled because It broke and it's bothering my tongue, after waiting for 30 minutes past my appointment time they bring me in. Long story short the bald guy just looks at the the X-rays and my teeth and tells me I need oral surgery, a crown put in, as well as a filling and wanted to give me some gingivitis treatment , I say I'm only here to see if you guys can pull my tooth nothing else, bald dude doesn't like that I'm not buying into what he's trying to sell me and just sends me home, rest of the staff were cool but it's like they're told to try and push the most expensive route on you. I mean thanks for showing me everything that's "bad" and "needs" treatment on my teeth but if your just trying to get money out of people you can just be upfront about and say, "we can't do that but this is what we can do" or something along those lines. But yeah it was pretty scummy how this dude just straight up dismissed me, then he tried to get the financing lady to set up an appointment that cost almost 5200$ I was like your out of your mind and told them I'm not paying that, she told me they can do a payment plan I was like no, bye. Aspen Dental is only there to get you to have dentistry that you probably do not need done. I went to Aspen Dental in Titusville, Fl because I was having pain in my tooth and gum. I told them I thought it was a popcorn kernel stuck in the gum. I sat in the waiting area filling out forms that I filled out online before I went. The girl at the desk said I don't even know why they ask you to do that because it doesn't work. After waiting some more I was brought back to an X-ray tech and had way too many X-rays done. The X-ray tech went to bring the X-rays to the dentist and came back very excited that the Dentist had seen my TMJ, which I have had for a long time. I told her that I wasn't there to have a bunch of work done, I just wanted them to see if they could get the stuff out of my gum. Dentist comes in finally, and starts telling me I have two fillings that need to be taken care of and also I have gingevitis Which I don't. So that would require several deep cleanings and prescription toothpaste and mouthwash. The dentist never looked at my gum or tooth to see if something was in there. They sent me to another person who would set up my appointments for the fillings and cleanings. She tells me that will be $1200 + and they would be nice enough to take off the X-rays so then I would only be charged $900+. I left the office without scheduling any appointments and went to another dentist today and got the popcorn kernel taken out of my gum for only $48. I call that a win since the pain was gone almost instantly. Do not go to Aspen Dental to be herded around like cattle and charged out the rear. read more

This location of Aspen Dental is a joke. I made an appointment two weeks ago for a filling a few months back. They did the x-rays a probe my gums. They did everything they should do and they said they only have to do it once a year. So I made this appointment just to get a filling for a cavity my appointments at 1 o'clock. I show up at 12:30 they don't open till one. So I check in at one when they open they don't take me back until 120. OK they're busy. Now they tell me that they have to take all the x-rays over again and they have to reprogram my mouth with all these different pics to determine the conditions of my gum that they did just a few months back And they're not gonna fill the cavity today. They can't do that. What a joke. This company is if you go to Aspen Dental be ready for a run around the staff as a whole were combative, uncooperative and disrespectful. It is no wonder Aspen Dental only has one star if you go here, you do so at your own risk. Good luck. And I would give the location zero stars or negative stars but it won't let me. read more
