The worst teeth that I ever had..These teeth don't fit at all. I've been back a couple of times & nothing was done to try to get them to fit. The cheaper teeth that I had for 15 years fit perfect. I talked to the lady over the phone made my appointment after confirming my insurance, and took the day off work. I walked to the reception area and the lady, proceeded to inform me they do NOT take my insurance and they won't do a cleaning that I made my appointment for, BUT they will give me Free x-rays and an exam, and I will have to come back another time for a cleaning. I asked her if she was kidding. And how much would said cleaning cost me since they didn't take my insurance, this was several years ago, and it was $175. So to summarize their online reception/appointment makers and their in-house people haven't a clue what the heck they're doing. Stay away! read more

The service experienced was unacceptable. My husband had scheduled an urgent appointment for severe tooth pain, which couldn't be treated by our regular dentist on the same day. A receptionist called to confirm his appointment and obtain insurance information. He arrived 20 minutes early but waited two hours without being seen. They then stated that their system was down, preventing verification of our dental insurance, and suggested that he try another office, but it was too late in the day to go to another office. read more

Loving my dentures!! I went to a NUMBER of other dentists, *begging* them to pull the last of my uppers (there were 9 left). Everyone else said "We can't pull those all at once!" (the unspoken part was "...because we can make more pulling them one at a time!") I went in to Aspen, and they saw the light (probably through one of the gaps between those teeth). They pulled those teeth, got me the temporary plate, and it has been wonderful! Still waiting on the permanent plates, but I love the care I've received!! read more

Today I was in the Troy office of Aspen and worked with Taylor; she was fantastic. I really appreciate her patience and chair side manner.

I went in to see about veneers or alignment trays. They did a bunch of x-rays then took me back and looked at my teeth. THEN they told me they don't do veneers and aren't set up to do alignment trays yet. I was referred to a private dentist not affiliated with Aspen Dental in Centerville who could do veneers. I just got a bill for $118 for the x-rays. Why did they do the x-rays if they can't do veneers or aligner trays? Also, the girl doing the x-rays was terrible and had to get assistance twice. I'm never going back and I'm not paying this bill. I am also filing a consumer complaint with the Attorney General's office. This is ridiculous. read more

This place is the most unprofessional place I have ever dealt with. On Thursday, December 28th, 2023, I spoke with an employee who was so rude. She was doing callbacks regarding online appt. I was in severe pain, and she tried to make every reason as to why I couldn't be seen or needed to not come even with an online available appointment. It was for an emergency dental issue that I had went to the ER the night before. She told me if I didn't have my insurance info when I came that I would be rescheduled. I told her I worked and have cash and insurance and yet she said, "Well, we will prob reschedule you when you get here". It was just the apprehensiveness of not trying to help a patient. She said that with the fact that we also won't be able to do anything for you. The website states, "Emergency Dental" She is not customer friendly by any means and I wish I had her name because she needs training on customer service and etiquette. read more

I initially came in for a broken tooth that was causing me excruciating pain. They assessed my x-rays and got me an appointment two days later. When I had the extraction and a filling, they talked me through what was going on and what they were doing as it was happening. It made me feel so comfortable and I am terrified of going to the dentist. For me to say that shows the amazing amount of care that these people have for their patients! My only issue is that the receptionist is not very chatty and I'm not going to say she's unfriendly, but I was talking with her and she barely said five words to me. read more

Went for an initial exam and was diagnosed with periodontal disease. My exam and x-rays were fine, however they wanted to set me up for 3/4 of the same exact periodontal treatment that I underwent not even a year ago at BrightNow Dental.... for 3 times what I paid previously!!! This pricing was outrageous to me and beyond that, the only "assistance" offered for a payment plan was to open a new line of credit through CareCredit. Which was only to cover what my (very good) insurance would not. I was not interested in doing so and upon trying to request my records this office mislead me by sending me home with a form and continuing to not answer my calls or return my messages for the rest of the day. If I could leave less than a 1 star I would. My husband broke a tooth and I scheduled him an emergency visit online. He showed up to his appointment the next day 30 minutes prior to his appointment and they tell him they can't see him because he they didnt have his insurance information. Nowhere online did it say they needed insurance information prior to his appointment and he did bring his dental insurance card with him to the appointment and they still denied his visit. I then called and asked why his appointment was canceled because they never called and informed us of anything and the receptionists only responds was they didn't have his insurance information and she canceled the appointment. He had taken a half a sick day from work to attend the appointment which was wasted because he was never seen. Receptionists didn't care about that either. 0/10 stars. They didn't care that he was in pain. They didn't care he drove an hour for an emergency appointment that they canceled and didn't inform us of. They also didn't care that he showed up with all documents in hand but couldn't be seen because they "didn't have insurance information". Not impressed. read more

I had an emergency kind of visit...my temporary crown came unglued and visiting this area from out of town. This place made me take 18 exrays for my entire mouth and overcharged me $200 for a bit of glue to fix my crown back in place. It took over 1 1/2 hours to get this finished and the doctor didn't even do it.. a terrible experience.. read more

I made an appointment online through the Aspen Dental website and received an initial confirmation email. However on the day of the appointment, when I checked my account on their website, my appointment had been cancelled with no notice. I called the office to inquire about the reason and possibly reschedule. I could not get through to a staff member, so I left a message through their automated system and was told I would be called back. I never received a call so I went into the office at the time which I had scheduled the appointment. The staff informed me that the call center/website which does their bookings often books people for appointments outside of the office's business hours. It is unacceptable that the offices do not contact the potential patients that are affected by their strange booking issues. It is also unthinkable to have these kinds of issues with their only method for booking appointments. read more

Their dentures leave a lot to be desired. They are not made properly nor very strong. My sister got dentures there last year and they cracked while she ate an olive??? I have had the same dentures (from NY) for over 15 years with no problem. Some family members and I were going to use Aspen to get new dentures as well....no longer!!! read more

WORST DENTURE EXPERIENCE. Got them June 2016 with spots that were thinner than others and although I told them, it was never fully corrected no matter how many times I went back. Now a year and a month later they cracked in exactly the spot I told them was thinner than the rest and they want to charge me almost $300.00 for xrays and visit, no idea how much to repair them. Guarantee for only 6 months and being that my last visit was a year and a month ago they need to do new exam and xrays? I paid $1,700.00 for these and I just want the DENTURE repaired , I do not expect a denture to crack after 1 year, the one I had prior to this one lasted for almost 30 years, true story, done by a regular dentist, so no more "specialty" places for me, a total rip off .. Whatever you do, steer clear of this place, especially if you need dentures! ! ! After I paid $1500.00 for an upper plate that's not worth $100.00, I realized I had paid an exorbitant amount for a third-rate upper plate with a 7-year warranty. So I thought it would be ok, as long as they would honor their promise they make on their commercials to repair or replace the plate at NO COST TO ME for the duration of the warranty. Well, that was the catch: the repair or replacement of the plate was free, but I had to pay them $60.00 for an oral exam, or they wouldn't even see me. I said, "I don't think so," and contacted Mike DeWine's (Ohio AG) office. I don't know what Mr. DeWine did, but a few weeks later, Aspen in Troy called me and scheduled an appointment, free of charge. That appoint was today, and they did a great job repairing this flimsy $100.00 plate, which cost me $1500.00, and Dr. Modi informed me if I didn't pay $60.00 for his looking in my mouth for 1/2 of a second, his responsibility under the 7-year warranty would be void and for me not to come back. I told him if this piece of crap I was overcharged for ever breaks again and he refuses to repair or replace it free of charge, I would sue him. AND I WILL ! ! ! There are laws in this state which prohibit this behavior, and I would like to see someone initiate a class-action law suite against this organization and others like it to recover some of the grocery and medicine money lost by the poor and elderly because of this type of greed, but this, of course, is an account of my own personal opinions and wishes, and in no way an indictment of anyone's honesty. read more
