Worst dental experience of my 52 years. The first doctor who did my root canal was good; the one doing the crown was like Dr. Mengele. His bedside manner was hostile and he barked commands at me and treated me like he had a personal grievance with me at the prep for the crown. His treatment was so bad that I inquired on my way out if he would be placing the crown. Went in for the crown today--he put numbing gel and one second later (there was no time given for the gel to take effect) he violently jammed the needle for numbing into my gums. All this after I sat waiting for 45 minutes. I got up and left without allowing the procedure to continue and it is a good thing I did, since despite him ramming the needle into my guns twice I never got numb. I think his goal was to cause me pain. At the very least, he did not care about the pain at all. I have never had a dentist treat me this way. My theory is that he is a racist (I am a POC). I deeply distrust the work he did last time. I am seeing another dentist to complete the work and get an evaluation of that work he did. I only came here out of an emergency need. My bill, even for the crown I never got, is paid in full. If I discover it was improperly done, Aspen Dental of Webster, await your summons for a lawsuit. 0/10. Do NOT go here. read more

I never actually got to have an appointment. I was shuffled around through 3-4 people who gave me an appointment and then someone else said I couldn't have that appointment and then another person gave me another appointment. I felt if the entry was that disorganized, I did not trust to meet the dentists. Also read some of the reviews that were very discouraging. I'm not sure a 1star is appropriate either since I never had my appointment. Too bad. read more

I called to make an appointment as a new patient and was told I first needed x-rays and an exam. ( usually you get that all in one appointment) So I first was taken back 25 minutes late, then get all my x-rays. I was brought back to a treatment area where the dentist came in, looked at my exrays and 1st told me I needed a root canal on a tooth that I am not having any problems with! 2nd I was told I needed one of my wisdom teeth out. Another tooth I'm not experiencing a problem with! Then he commented on an eye tooth stating I should replace the filling on! OK THAT WAS IT! I explained that I DO NOT have a filling in any of my front teeth and he became argumentative! At that point, I told him that all I needed was a cleaning. My last cleaning being 6 months prior! They are the biggest scam artists and only care about the big dollar procedures! I will never go there again! Wasted my time! They should be shut down! read more

I suffer from PTSD, and depression. I don't trust many people and don't care for dentist's in general due to childhood issues. Regardless of what you read before or after me, this place is incredible. I've had a server tooth ache for 7 months. I called on Monday, was seen on Tuesday. The staff was incredible treatting me like a person and not a time bomb. My exam x-rays and consult were all free. The Dr. Explained all the work that I needed, went to the oral surgeon, and then sent me to billing. Financing and insurance options were explained and offered as I am uninsured. Bill paid, the tooth was gone in 20 minutes. Thank you. You guys are incredible and I can't wait to get to know you as you all as you help me to find my smile again. read more

This place is a total scam. I'm sorry but I really just can't stand to see working professionals take advantage of honest people that just want to have their dental concerns addressed. Also, I work in the insurance industry, so I realize I have a level of awareness that other individuals may not. All I wanted was a cleaning. This cleaning is a preventative visit that is covered at 100% by my insurer. Instead, they booked me for a "free consultation." Annoyed at the fact that I took time off work just to be told I need to make another appointment (why can't they do x-rays AND cleaning in the same appointment), I gave them the benefit of the doubt. A patient was arguing with a receptionist over coverage--I gave it no attention until it was my turn. They told me that I needed "special attention" to a part of my mouth because there is "excess debris." They said this would be $14.50 out of pocket that would come from my deductible. What?! Why can't you clean that part of my mouth during the preventative care cleaning appointment?!? The rude woman behind the desk began arguing with me. She said it wasn't covered by insurance. I told her that I'm life and health insurance licensed in the state of New York and that I conduct benefits analysis for my clients. She ignored me and continued to push on. I was so angry I stormed out and immediately called my insurance company. My insurance company was appalled and said they had never heard of this happening before. I'm going to file a formal grievance to report their unethical behavior. This is horrible. I understand insurance companies negotiate a reimbursement rate that is below what the dental practice hopes to earn on a procedure, but that's the cost of being able to have a steady flow of new patients through a network. The young woman that did my x-rays was very kind and polite and the dentist that briefly examined my teeth was equally as cordial. Unfortunately the desk receptionists are absolute monsters. Here's a hint: if patients are CONSTANTLY giving you a difficult time, it's because you aren't doing your job right. I wonder if they have quotas or production goals--I wouldn't be surprised. Unfortunately practices like this give honest and ethical working professionals a terrible reputation. Be wary. UPDATE: Just when you thought the experience couldn't get any worse--Aspen Dental billed my insurance company for the "complimentary" consultation they lied and weaseled me into. I just went to Aspen for the first time. I saw the google reviews (most of which HAVE to be fake after what I experienced-- if you scroll through all the fake 5 star reviews to find the 1 star reviews you will get an HONEST look at what a horrible company this is. Yelp obviously has the actual customers and not just the OWNER reviewing it with fake google accounts) and thought I'd give them a try. I made my appointment at 1 pm. I sat in the waiting room until 2 pm, a full hour AFTER my scheduled appointment before they even took me in for the X-Rays! Finally they get me, do a bunch of X-Rays, I sit down in the chair and... STILL no dentist. It's been an hour and 30 mins at this point. So I asked the lady that did the X-Rays (she was very nice) why it was taking so long for him to get to me. She informs me that he STILL (after 1 and 30 mins after I made my appointment) has 2 other patients to see before he will get to me! I asked why??? I was told that they ALWAYS take several patients at the same time! So 4-6 other people had appointments at 1 pm along with me! I was told it's because they are not a "private" practice so they don't take one patient at a time (doesn't make much sense to me, but okaaay...) So... the dentist finally comes. He is NOT friendly with me, he's quite curt and rude. He was BRUTAL on my teeth and gums. Never have I had a dentist scrape and hit my teeth so hard. My mouth is STILL sore. He rushes through me at light speed, barely lets me speak about what issues I'm having, talks over me to the assistant without even listening to 95% of what I'm saying/asking. He ignored me except for the answers I gave HIM to direct questions. He's in such a RUSH to get to his other double/triple/quadruple, etc booked patients that he has absolutely NO 1 on 1 time to spend with me. He's blunt, to the point (which I wouldn't have minded so much if he was the LEAST bit friendly or ACTED like he cared about me as a patient at ALL). He was hurting me and instead of being more gentle he SNAPPED at me very impatiently when I tried to tell him to be careful with the scraper because my teeth are sensitive! He told me to deal with it! If you're going to be a jerk, and book 4-5 patients at the same time and RUSH them, at LEAST have the courtesy to be nice/kind to them when you actually get around to seeing them! No such luck at Aspen Dental. I will NOT be going back to get my teeth fixed. I WILL be going to someone else more deserving of my hard earned money, someone that doesn't WASTE my valuable time, someone that actually CARES about what I have to say and is GENTLE when I tell him he's hurting me. I would not suggest anyone go here BUT if have all the time in the world to burn, and don't mind rude, big headed jerks digging for GOLD in your mouth and/or being treated like you're on an assembly line in a toy factory then this is the place for you. I'm NOT happy I will have to give them money for the 10 min appointment that took 2 and a half hours to complete!!!! BEWARE THE GOOGLE REVIEWS FOR THIS COMPANY... THEY ARE FAKE! I went here a while back. I'm terrified of the dentist. But I finally sucked it up and went. This place is awful. And I refuse to go back. My mother has had horrible experiences with Aspen as well. The secretary was very kind, along with the women giving me my x-rays. After that I got put into a chair and waited for the dentist. He came in and didn't even say a word to me. No hello, no name, nothing. I still don't know his name. He sat down and told me to open my mouth. I of course did. He looked in my mouth for about a minute and then proceeded to tell me I had 5 cavities. Because of how he never once tried to put me at ease I was terrified to go back and get them filled. So I canceled. And God am I glad I did. I ended up going to Unity Dental and they are amazing! Dr. Lindquist and every single worker there are fantastic, helpful, and so genuinely nice. They made me feel so comfortable there and took away my fear. After having my x-rays they told me I had 1 cavity that needs filled and 2 root canals. Now that's 3 teeth. At Aspen I was told 5. I want to know what the hell they were going to fill?! The only reason I could possibly think of for telling me I needed 2 extra teeth filled was for money. If you're looking for a dentist in this area DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!! Go to Unity Dental. You will not regret it. But at Aspen you certainly will. read more
