He provided insight into my hair's texture and natural shape that no other stylist had done before, which means I can better identify the types of cuts that flatter me most. I have thick textured, straight Asian hair which, like curly hair, can be challenging to cut properly. If you're looking for a new stylist, be sure to give him a try. I should also mention that his salon is tranquil with a pretty view (no noisy chit chat and constant sound of blow dryers like you'll find in larger salons). Something to keep in mind, with this or any hair stylist, is to be involved in your experience. If the stylist is doing something that you don't like, say something immediately. Don't wait until you get home to write a Yelp review; that's doing a disservice to the business AND yourself as the customer.
