The former principal left a few years ago leading to total disarray at this school - teachers left, were fired, and we all suffered. Then we were sold on this new principal Danell - a trove of glorified qualifications. But her actions were the contrary. She enabled faulty policies, communicated poorly and hid very questionable practices from the parents. Sound familiar, Douglas County? She ran this place into the ground and enrollment suffered. AND THEN WHAT!? We just received a 6 month notice that it is closing, leaving families to scramble for wait lists elsewhere, many which exceed 6 months. I hope this joke of a woman's new employer finds out what happened here. I feel bad for all families impacted and to those great teachers there that hopefully will find continued employment elsewhere. Danell Chijioke is the epitome of what is wrong with the education system and the broader world today. Qualified for nothing but a few badges promote her to the top.

I thought it couldn't be difficult to find something similar...? We did a in person tour of Merryhill with my mom and I and it was very similar to Montessori so I was SOLD! Long story short, 3 weeks... 6 mistakes. They weren't just any ordinary mistakes they were mistakes that proved my daughter is just another number to them. The communication is a 0/10 and if you're gonna have a school, with my toddler who can't communicate then you should be on top of it! And then not only the obvious, I'm paying you good money... for what? My daughter is very sensitive to whole milk and her immune system shuts down so she drinks almond milk, they asked that I not bring almond milk I said no problem then she can have water at school and milk at home. They were giving her milk everyday even after I addressed them 4 times not to... one day she came home in someone else's diaper (she doesn't wear diapers, she wears pull ups) she's in the middle of potty training and not once did they potty train her at school. She then came home in her pull up but OH WAIT it gets better, someone else's diaper UNDER HER PULL-UP! I had tried to voice my concerns on multiple occasions and I was either ignored or looked at like a deer in headlights with no answers or solutions. I then notified them through the app it was her last day so please send her home with everything in her cubby and of course someone decided to call me FINALLY to have a conversation. Too little, too late. To say I was unhappy with my experience is a understatement. Never introduced me to my two year olds teachers, I'm not even a little sorry of my review. I know what a great preschool entails and this is not even close. I should of been pulled aside with my daughters teachers, discussed solutions, apologizing for all the mistakes in such a little time but NOPE I went to them every single time with no response back. P.S. When pick up is going on, hold the toddlers hand while walking them out! Thanks.

I don't expect them to become fluent through this program but I'm on day 500 of mandarin through Duolingo and they sometimes correct my pronunciation. I got my head pushed down BY A SUB, i was told to sit under a desk by a teacher in 4th grade. The ONLY reason this school gets any stars is because its the minimum. There was one teacher who broke CMAS RULES to ask why i was leaving... For her info it was stuff like that, that is the reason i left. In my French classes i got taught NOTHING over 7 years now at my new school i've already learned more. The admin does NOTHING about bullying. I was in the principals kids class and he thought he could do anything and truthfully he could because admin is useless. Mr haslick suspended multiple kids for no reason. The admin here has NO buisness running a school. The only reason people get hired is because the are friends of the principal. One of my friends went home crying because bullying gets so severe because they no admin does nothing. You also learn nothing from this school because half the teachers arnt even qualified. They some how have an award that says "distinguished improvment" but if anything it gets worse and worse every year.

This is one of the reasons we have chosen to stick with this daycare for as long as we have, she is so smart and well behaved thanks a lot to the wonderful teachers that work here, who also have education within childcare. They have an awesome curriculum that among the normal reading/writing/numbers etc. they also fine tunes motor skills. It's also very nice that they have 12 hour opening from 6:30 am to pm with no late/early fees. Just one set price. It's a little bit but talking with the staff there (which are wonderful) and as I mentioned seeing how far she has developed makes it well worth it. Highly recommend.

Ms. Mya specifically has been a positive influence and constant supporter of our children.

(So you never know really what your child is doing if you want to track progress or continue work at home.) Additionally, I will never forget the attitude of the kindergarten teacher, when I went to ask the front desk for the up to date information of daily curriculum. I'm sorry to say, but if that is the attitude you have towards an adult (treating engaging parents as enemies instead of team players) I can only imagine what my cheerful child had to endure while in your classes. The damage done by this teacher is irreparable, and I feel remorse that I didn't pay close attention to my child behavior sooner (some of the inconsistencies were brushed aside for awhile, just for the sake of giving this "school" a chance). Luckily we managed to move to a public school, where my child is thriving. If your child is cheerful and inquisitive, please save yourself and the child from being heart broken. Additionally, well rounded education and building knowledge does not mean that kids should not be cheerful or that education should not be fun and the exercises/acivities should not be diversified.

Instead of leadership attempting to figure out why and helping him feel safe, engaged, and connected, they repeatedly isolated him in an office and allowed him to be destructive out of frustration and embarrassment. At their recommendation, we hired an occupational therapist, but after only four therapy visits, leadership decided they were "done" trying, but without ever consistently putting the recommendations of the therapist into action. We showcased our support to the staff and treated everyone with respect at every turn, but leadership ultimately acted inconvenienced by our son. They made my him feel like a problem to be removed, not a child to be understood. And in these critical early years when confidence and trust are built, they made him (and us) feel unwelcome. After a total of 60 days post enrollment the school disenerolled our son leaving us with no childcare and no options. It's a terrible position for any parent (let alone a working parent) to be in. If your child ever struggles with emotions or needs a little extra support, please know this is not the place that will stand by them.
