This place is fine as far as initial testing & setting up the drops schedule. I am a year in, & feel so much better - as long as I take the drops as prescribed. Biggest complaint a year in is that the company sending the drops is a week short!!! This is terrible if you depend on the drops. And it shouldn't happen- I paid $1500 to do this for 3 years? I got a text confirming they would be sending, still haven't received them & I am out. You can see a few drops in the bottle but you can't get them out they are so low! After my 2nd attempt at allergy testing I've decided to leave a review because it's kinda a scam to people who are on medication which interferes with the testing. For my first test they scheduled me like three months out because the lady who performed the testing was over booked. When I arrived at my appointment I was treated by a MAN not the woman who I had to wait to see. If he could treat me all along why did I have to wait three months? Anyways he did a test that determined they couldn't perform the allergy test due to something in my system so they said I had to go get blood work done. I was frustrated with the whole thing I had to wait for the appointment and then to be told to go get blood work done. I thought it was all a scam. But my allergies just persisted and got worse and my medications changed so I called back and told them what happened and they made me another appointment. We reviewed ALL my medications and they told me which ones to stop using for a week before my appt. I did. I get to my appt and they do the test to see if they can perform the allergy test and it comes back that they can't. AGAIN. She said it's because of the medication I'm on, one they knew about BOTH TIMES which they didn't tell me to stop taking. So I'm told I have to be consulted with in order to officially be given the paperwork to get lab work. So once again. Waited and then paid for an office visit when they KNEW my medications would interfere with the testing and I'd just have to get lab work done. So as far as initial perception of this place I feel they could go about things completely differently so you don't feel like you're being jerked around. read more

Well I was sick, not feeling well for two weeks, last doctor I saw didn't seem to care and was advised to get a second opinion because nothing changed for my health. I went to Texan Allergy recommendation from a family member. I was glad to hear they took my insurance and was able to set an appointment. The office was easy to find, and the staff was friendly and helpful, upon my arrival for my appointment. I advised I had asthma and treated me with extra care. I was given water between my asthma testing on an electronic measuring device. Nikki nurse practitioner saw me, and explained what medications that were prescribed to me and what they all did, and she went the extra mile to make sure I didn't have pneumonia and ordered a chest x-ray. I felt way better after taking the medication and also felt that Texan Allergy is looking out for my best interest in my health, and they will now be my number one for health care, when I should get sick. Lack of communication and education from staff on proper procedures for food allergy testing. Wound up being a waste of money and time from work. Staff needs to educated future customers on the differences between "environmental and food allergies." read more
