I felt this camp was just a cash grab piggybacking on the brand name of Real Madrid. My son…read moreattended the UCLA location (oddly marketed as "Beverly Hills" which is incorrect and a red flag). Check in on the first day was disorganized and did not start on time. Lines of parents trying to figure out which station to check in at, no one from the team taking charge to corral everyone, someone simply shouted vague instructions, and everyone was confused . When I went to get clarity, one of the guys said "I'm just a photographer!" and held up his hands... talk about not being a team player. When I asked for a receipt via email for my tax records, they sent me a PayPal receipt that did not even say the name Real Madrid camp nor Euro Soccer-- it looked like a generic receipt without any identifying marks, . So I had to I asked again for a formal invoice with EIN. This may seem like a minor inconvenience, but says something about how there is not a level of prep/readiness or organization behind the scenes. This is also camp where kids need to be self starters and take initiative . if your child is on the shy side and does not take proactive steps, this may not be the camp for them. The week at the camp was extremely hot in the sun, with no shade, except for some tents. My child said he was not briefed on safety measures and overheating, I felt that the coaches should have briefed everyone in advance that if they feel too hot, they should take a break. They kept pushing my son into goalkeeping and he did not want to do it, but he did not feel empowered to say no as they simply instruct the kids to go to those positions and don't have the time to ask them their preferences, or get to know them. It is a one week camp after all so there is a very high camper to counselor ratio and very little personalization. They do not know the campers individually, but I don't fault them for this--There are simply just too, too many kids. Combined with the crazy traffic at getting to UCLA, this just didn't feel like what my child needed to improve his skills. Again, this is my opinion only-- it felt impersonal. other people may feel differently.

One coach in particular has crossed the line from discipline into cruelty -- speaking to young, hardworking, impressionable players in ways that drain their stamina, crush their confidence, and drive them away from the sport they love. It is about a culture where bullying goes unchecked, promises of improvement are broken, and leadership fails to protect the very children they claim to develop. When a single coach is allowed to act this way, the damage spreads across the entire club. Every young player deserves encouragement, respect, and the chance to grow. Instead, we see dreams being killed by words and actions that have no place in youth sports. We call on: Club members to demand accountability and refuse to normalize toxic coaching International soccer leadership to recognize this oversight gap and enforce standards of conduct Coaches everywhere to remember: your words can either build futures or destroy them Silence is complicity. It's time to stand up for the players whose voices are being drowned out. Their dreams matter. Their futures matter. And we will not allow negligence to continue unchecked.
