PSA's goal is to get the kids adept at ball control which forms the foundation for great soccer players. I'm no soccer player but my husband is and a good one at that. Being Italian, he is highly opinionated about coaching techniques and he acknowledges Coach Andrew's methods. Our 5 year old daughter has taken 3 sessions to date. She loves the classes and has improved exponentially over a short period. My 3 year old son just completed his first session. We went in with low expectations but Coach Andrew has him hooked. I remember Coach Andrew telling me at the beginning that his goal is to have kids loving the sport...and with my kids, he has succeeded. My kids look forward to the classes and have fun while learning and through the challenges which is vital to their success on the field. It's a no-frills class and PSA is real about teaching kids the art of soccer.

Coordinates here: 33.975829,-118.4173088…read more https://goo.gl/maps/u6KijafEYBD2 The real estate development in Playa Vista near Loyola has been crazy and amazing. Google Maps still shows dirt across from the Randy Johnson Park Bluff Creek Fields and the playground to the west of it but when I visited this place back in February, condos or apartments were already up and construction was taking place east of Village Drive. Not far from the Whole Foods on Jefferson and right next to the Playa Vista dog park is this soccer field, park, playground combo with a walking trail connecting all 3. I don't know who Randy Johnson is but Bluff Creek Fields named after him is a nicely manicured place. The fields are green, despite constant abuse by soccer players, and the walkable surfaces are of decomposed granite - so your shoes don't get dirty but what the most telling sign that this is probably a nice area is that the tables and chairs are highly portable and not cemented down to the ground. Down west near the playground are heavy-duty picnic tables with a trellis for shade. Nice place for an impromptu picnic (eating Whole Foods hot foods bar outside) The restrooms were clean, which is a rare for public parks in LA (the ones in Hollywood are especially disgusting). The security guard was friendly. I've been trying to spend more time outdoors as I read that it helps to reduce stress levels. I am too out of shape to do any sort of hike, so I've been going to parks. I don't like being in the sun, despite the temperatures in the 60s but here there was some good shade. Interestingly the playground had these steep mounds in lieu of a traditional slide. There were swings and these tilted cup-looking seats that seem to spin really fast and make kids dizzy. The walking trail is totally doable - it starts not far from the playground and ends past the tennis courts next to the Dog Park. My only "complaint" is that there is no parking lot. Along Bluff Creek Dr is your only option for nearby free parking, which is next to non-existent if there is soccer going on. Most other residential side streets had meters on them. I got too lucky and scored a spot right on Village Drive across from the dog park as someone was leaving. The road east on Bluff Creek Drive was sectioned off due to construction. Overall, cool little park, especially if you live around here.

Honestly I have a huge issue with the soccer field and it has been going on for years now but today…read morewas the tip of the iceberg. The whole park opens at 7am but I was told off by one of the security guards that I wasn't allowed to play on it until 8am at least because a resident made a noise complaint a couple weeks ago. Mind you I am alone I am just there to train, so I wait till around 7:45am and hop on the field to start my session. I usually take an hour to finish, next thing you know it is 8am and a lacrosse camp had booked the whole field from 8am-1pm. So not only did I get kicked off but I had only 15 minutes to fit in my session. It makes no sense. The park is open at 7am why cannot I not use the field. The security guard told me it was privately owned so you need reservations but the public use it all the time. Even worse is throughout the years this field is always booked from 12pm-7pm until it closes, like dude people get off from work at 5pm and people can't get a chance to play on it. Worse during the summer since there are camps all throughout the day. It is madly unfair that the public cannot use the field. To the pick up group that plays there too thank you for ruining the fact that nobody can play at 7am. I am going tomorrow at the same time to see if It is just that one security guard that kicks me off, if so that is definitely not cool. Not everyone has the free time of day to lounge at the field and wait for an opportunity to use it. There are barely any fields as there is around the Inglewood/Westchester area that have nets available to use. If the property is public I would love to make a complaint and see if there is a common ground for people to reserve the field V. the public. It is truly unfair that nobody can use the field unless you pay hunderd$ of dollars. There has to be a schedule block to reserve throughout the day. Currently as is with only being able to use it at 8am, the people who reserve for camps should only be allotted to 9am and forward because it is sincerely ridiculous that the common person cannot utilize the field. Even if the field opens at 7am the window to reserve should start at 9am because some people may wanna use the field as soon as it opens for as much time as they can before they go to work. Normal people usually start at 9am so it only makes sense to start booking at 9am. Please if there is any information to make a formal complaint to this field I would appreciate the info.
