Came by the other day before my flight out of HEL and it was a decent experience. Aspire Lounge appears to be a credit card lounge and access is only appears to be accessible via stairs. There is also an upper mezzanine level as well featuring additional seating. The lounge itself was spacious and featured fantastic tarmac views perfect for plane spotting. Food options were more limited and mainly carbs with minimal protein. There was a full bar too. Staff were super friendly. read more

This is a very nice lounge with a great view of the airport complex. Only one problem, poorly trained staff. When I arrive at an airport lounge I want to scan my boarding pass and walk in. I do not want to have even a 10 second conversation about why I'm at the lounge. It's impossible that I am the first Star alliance gold passenger flying on a Lufthansa ticket using this lounge, but that did not stop the attendant from saying, sorry sir you don't have access. I had to then show her my credit card which has the word club on it and open my United mileage plus account app on my smartphone, but she still wasn't convinced. She said this lounge is for Star alliance gold. I explained that United Airlines gold is the same as Star alliance gold. After about 4 minutes with a line waving, she let me through. There's no excuse for this level of incompetence at a major international airport lounge. read more

We had an okay time at the Aspire Lounge. It was hard to find the way up with a stroller have to walk all the way around and up a back elevator and through a hallway with a bunch of cleaning supplies and random things. The food was really lacking any flavor. I don't expect a ton from an airport lounge but this was pretty meh. The staff was attentive and friendly. We got some comfortable chairs and took turns taking a quick nap. The bar staff fills up your water bottle for you. Pretty large lounge which is nice. read more

I think overall 3.5 when mostly considering the food options, but I will round up to 4 since it was comfortable to stay in for an extended period of time. The front desk staff were also very nice. When we went the main Aspire Lounge was under renovation. I think this one may be the temporary one by gate 13 or so but I wasn't totally sure. The food offerings were a bit meager, mostly snack food. It was generally not enough for a full lunch. My husband left to get a hotdog. I actually did fill up on cream of mushroom soup and a lot of tomatoes but it was a very light lunch. They also had some deli meats, hummus, and cheese. The potato salad was not bad but probably not something I could eat a ton of since it was very carb heavy. They had some Pepsi products here as well as juice, beer, some cognac. They also had some chips, cookies, and muffins. There is a corner alcove with a table and some comfortable seats so that was nice to hang out in during our long layover. read more

Enjoyable place to spend time before a flight. Staff is functionally nonexistent but they do keep the food and beverages stocked. Most alcohol required an additional purchase, but soft drinks and hot drinks are available for free. Food is relatively basic but it's refreshed regularly. The space itself is clean, comfortable, and relaxing with a relatively quiet atmosphere that seemed geared primarily towards business travelers. read more

As lounges go, this is okay. I can never complain about the privilege of resting in a lounge which comes for free with my credit card, however there is a variable standard of lounges. This is a decent lounge with basic food and beverage. There is a coffee machine with cookies, a salad bar and breads. There are drinks that you help yourself to. The view is great. Large glass panels make up one entire side of the lounge providing great views. The seating is cramped close together. This is a good place for a shorter break but it's not a good enough to spend many hours in. read more

Nice place to have a snack and a drink when waiting for you next flight. I came to this lounge twice on the same trip - first time no problem getting in, and on another day (early morning) there was an incredibly long line. Food is basic, but serviceable. Lots of group tables with charging ports scattered around. They have self-serve wine, and they have a few spirits hooked up to this contraption where you can pour your own. They have one beer on tap that you can pour yourself, and a self-serve automatic coffee machine. No real complaints. Probably nicer compared to most PP lounges in the US, but for Europe this is probably middle of the pack. read more

Finland, here we are, another layover another lounge. If you're anything like us, you stop at lounges when you can. For me, it gives me a sense of what that particular area has to offer on a surface level, but sometimes you get to experience some real gems hidden within a city, but they are in an airport! Stay tuned for those lounges, this was not one of those but it did the job well! The lounge was sleek, well thought out, organized and I was dead tired from jet lag so that's all I can remember. We stopped here before heading outside of security to explore the city before heading on home. So glad we did, because it nourished us appropriately, there was a soup that stood out and will forever remain in my thoughts when it gets cold and snowy back home. It was heavy and warm and just the right flavor that hit without being overwhelming. True story- I'd stop by here again just for that soup. It's no fun to be at the airport at 5:00 AM and it's even less fun when it's the end of a fantastic weekend in Helsinki. But the Aspire Lounge helps make some of that pain go away. I was able to access the lounge as a Delta Diamond Medallion and a Sky Club member. A quick scan of my boarding pass and I was in, even though I was an economy-class passenger today. Plenty of seating, mostly in small groups. In the back is a posted "Quiet zone" which was where I landed. I was with two friends and we kept our discussions to whisper level. There was no one back here sleeping but it might have been possible to doze off. Food options were decent with the usual European style including sliced turkey and sliced cheese, yogurt, fruit, fresh bread. I didn't spot anything hot other than oatmeal. Fresh coffee, sodas, liquor, wine and bubbles available. Wifi worked well and there were some (EU-style) power outlets available. They did not make any flight announcements. This lounge came free with my credit card and was a nice early morning start before the flight. Not a huge selection but can't complain of the flavors and fast Wi-Fi. Comfortable seats with power outlets (charging stations) that supported other countries without the funky style of plugs that they use around the globe. LOL For sure would return to this lounge if had to wait for another flight. read more

The first thing I noticed about this lounge was how chic and modern it looked. I definitely loved the swinging bubble seats, although not quite the most comfortable while eating. The fake fireplace was very trendy with such a lovely feel. Despite that, the place was rather crowded though. The food offered were pretty standard snacks from bread to meats and cheeses. All of the drinks are self-serve including alcohol, which is convenient. Also, I wish they had their own wifi other than the free airport wifi though. Great spot for a lounge nonetheless. read more

I loved this Priority Pass lounge. It's very spacious and trendily decorated. Most seating areas have a plug nearby. Wine, beer, liquor, coffee & espresso machine, juices, and teas. Tons of high-quality food including bread and Finnish specialties, crackers, cookies, chips and nuts. They even had a kettle of potato leek soup. The staff was very diligent in picking up used plates and utensils. It was clean, quiet, and a generally enjoyable venue for relaxation. The only problem is that this lounge gets very, very crowded. I imagine this is because the only other Priority Pass lounge is after passport control. WiFi is just the airport's free WiFi. read more

This lounge is excellent! Large seating area that's cozy and a fake fireplace to set the mood.There are also swinging bubble seats for one. there are restrooms of course and a private shower room; they charge per person for shower use. The food selection is ok. There's not much going on. They have croissants, Finnish breads, a yogurt bar, mini salad bar, dessert cookie bar, and a platter of the main course which is buttered egg, ham, and cheese. As far as beverages, they have two different kinds of beers including Karhu. They have two espresso machines and a soda fountain machine. Let's not forget about the white wine and vodka rack! This lounge is excellent and very useful when in the Helsinki airport. read more

Due to COVID-19, Star Alliance lounge has closed and this is probably the only none Finnair lounge at Helsinki airport. Good thing is it accepted Priority Pass. It is not a spacious lounge so getting a seat during peak is a challenge especially with limited lounge in the airport now. The food choice is reasonable, there is pastries, hot food, snack with coffee and drinks. My favorite flat white is one of the options so I am good here. The other plus is it opens at 5am, which is good for those with early morning flight. Staffs are friendly, service is prompt. read more

I'm a fan! It's a quiet spot to get away from the airport hustle and bustle. Plenty of sockets to charge up your gadgets and lots of different seating options so there is somewhere for everyone to sit, whether they want to work or watch a bit of telly. The soup is tasty and apparently changes but I was here twice in one week and it was carrot both times. It was good! There is also a mini salad bar, cookies and fruit. For drinks there are soft fountain drinks, red and white wine, gin, whiskey, cognac and Finlandia vodka as well as beer and coffee. This place is a nice lounge tucked away on the second floor near gates 27-28 in terminal 2 at Helsinki Vantaa Airport. If you have a priority pass you can use it to get into this lounge for free. They have food which has been different both times we have been here, but satisfying and you can make a meal of. I prefer this spot over the Almost @ Home lounge also at this airport. Just be aware that this lounge can sometimes be extremely busy with a line out the door. read more

There's a bit of food, nothing special though, and a coffee machine that was very welcome after a long flight. The three stars is perhaps a bit misconceiving, I really like going to here. The Aspire Lounge at Helsinki Airport is like an oasis for the frequent traveler. Its charm is not only in its fresh Finnish design, but rather in that its always really empty (you can enter with a Priority Pass). The catering is also not too bad and everything is always laid out neatly and with cozy charm. Comparing to some of the nicer lounges I have visited, the Aspire lounge is not that special. However the other options at Helsinki Airport (when flying between Schengen countries) just do not compare. About the food: Always starting with the food =). The Aspire lounge has a standard selection of Soup of the day, yummy Karelian pies, croissants and fruit. For something sweet with the coffee there are some Finnish chocolates and cookies. In the morning the soup is replaced by natural yogurt and granola. The food is not great, but hey, its complimentary. This is the type of food I actually like eating, but I can imagine a hungry traveler missing a proper hot meal in this place. About the drinks: There are always a few fresh juices on the table and a fridge full of soft drinks. I hate taking a soda out of a tap, so I think its great that you can pick out a bottle from the fridge. For alcoholic beverages, there is some beer, wines and even some stronger stuff like vodka (its Finlandia off course) and whisky. I have paid more attention to the wines, and what I like is that they change them now and then. I have went into some lounges where after a year, you see them being loyal to the same Sauvignon Blanc. The coffee there is actually quite good as well and there is a decent selection of teas. The ambiance is the best part of the lounge. Its calm and quiet and there are a lot of places to sit and work. The back wall is totally dedicated to seats with plugs and all the tables are enough apart to give space. The internet works perfectly and is much faster than the free wi-fi available everywhere in the airport. There is soft lighting and a real Nordic vibe to the design. The lounge also has a shower for a small extra fee. I tried it once when I was transferring in Helsinki, and it was totally worth it.
