Mike gave me a lot of information about my surgery and what to expect in terms of physical changes and challenges throughout the subsequent weeks of recovery. He and my other PT, Maureen were always encouraging and took the time to answer the many questions I had throughout the process. Thanks to their expertise, select exercises and encouragement, I have improved my knee strength, mobility and have the confidence that I needed to help me continue my healing process for months to come. I highly recommend SportsCare Physical Therapy in Sandy, to anyone who is looking for a team who is friendly, highly educated, and one who helps them to recover safely, regain function swiftly and feel confident throughout the process.

The people at the front desk strive to help you get your appointments set even when struggling to get ahold of an adjuster in my case. the lovely assistance who were always sweet in their greeting as I was sat down to warm up and wait for tori. Tori was the best for me though, we got along great and she really understood my injury and my pain and really worked with me every week to help me get my range of motion back. I was told I may not be able to fully straighten my elbow after what happened by my dr but Tori helped me get my full range of motion back. I still have pain but her massages after our workout were what really set me right for the rest of the week. wish I could give more then 5 stars I really enjoyed being able to use this facility and their lovely staff. thank you everyone at sandy SportsCare!

So much so that this last time I needed PT, I sought out a different group of Physical Therapist. Now that I've been getting therapy from a different group, I can safely say that the comparison of quality care between the two is extremely evident and solidly confirms my reasoning to look for better care. What I like most in the reason for the five star is that they are technologically savvy. they have a patient portal where you can make payments. check out your workout plan, get reminders and confirmations...like an all in one account management for patient care. They accept most insurances & their locations are conveniently located in the areas that you need them. it's not like one of those specialty spots that you have to travel miles just to actually get care. also the physical therapist want you to get better and do your best. there are no shortcuts there is no easy way out or cheating the system, they monitor your progress closely. Hours of operations fit my schedule being 7am-6pm monday-friday.

I liked my therapist. I got sick. I've never been this sick. It's been 3 weeks with this illness. Not COVID not flu. I wasn't able to talk without bringing on nausea or extreme chest pain and coughing. My method of letting them know was to respond to their emails upon receiving them the day before my appointments. I missed 3 appointments. I emailed twice. They responded once so I know they saw my emails. I was finally able to call them this morning. After stating my name I was told I had been discharged. Thing is, they didn't even answer one of my emails. They did not reach out to me. They were very clearly rejecting me when I really needed help. I'm a senior. This is elder abuse.

I don't care that I just learned to run almost 3 miles straight without stopping, and that I'm an older person, and it might not be so good for my frame. I love running and I demand the pain stop! And that was my longest run-on sentence yet, speaking of running! I have gone here previously for another pretzel logic body issue and was cured by the laying of the hands. I actually have never had any experience, (lucky me), with physical therapy until I went here. I am used to going to chiropractors that seem to 'force' your body in to poses to align the bones back in to place. That never seems to work for me because I am just so tense from the pain and the acrobatic chiro-ography, (if you will). I entered in to one of their rooms and the curtain is pulled. My physical therapist was very patient and asked me to explain the whats, and wheres, and how comes. Once I did this, the magic began. She had me do poses that you would normally do in real life, and then she placed her arms in different positions over areas of my body. I immediately started to tense up, but she did not grab me like a knot and force, but just gently pulled and, sometimes pushed. I trusted her at that point. As she was working over me using various positions, she was actually speaking in tongues, well, ok she was talking to herself, or perhaps singing that bone connection song to figure out the puzzle. For those of you that understand PT talk, my pelvic frame was out of whack, T12 and L3 as well. We are still working out the kinks and I know we will have success after a few more sessions.

During that accident an uninsured motorist charged across two lanes of traffic and hit us out of nowhere. Fortunately a police officer was behind us and witnessed everything; plus our safety camera recorded the incident. The driver smelled like pot and lied to the officer with a false claim of having USAA insurance, which is my provider. A background search of the at-fault driver revealed a number of aliases and two birth dates. Her entire life seemed to revolve around the use and legalization of marijuana. In any case DMV revoked her driver's license for one year and fined the driver. Now back to these lifesaving chiropractors, massage therapists and the staff at the front counter. For over two weeks following the accident I was suffering from rib injuries that prevented me from working or being able to lay down in any otherwise comfortable position; I was miserable. The clinic referred me to one of the most knowledgeable personal injury attorneys in Portland; i.e., Eileen O'Reilly. It remains my distinct pleasure to be represented by this legal professional. My treatment schedule for these accident injuries continues and I've found the initial symptoms have improved while we continue to work on asymptomatic body trauma pain and vertigo. Everyone at this office has been incredibly helpful and supportive with their treatment plan. The front counter folks are stellar with scheduling and text message reminders. The massage therapists have given me a tremendous amount of comfort and peace through their remarkable techniques. There are even two adorable therapy dogs that I love more than most people. Hope my review was not too long winded, but I wanted everyone seeking chiropractic treatment and massage therapy to know that I highly recommend this clinic as the first stop on your pathway to wellness.

I have some strange anatomy which made the official diagnosis a bit difficult for my orthopedist. Without a complete diagnosis, I wanted a conservative approach so he referred me to a hand therapist at Providence. Well, I am lazy AF and didn't want to drive to PDX so I called Armworks instead. Melanie was inspiring from the get-go. She was able to help get the actual injury diagnosed and formulate a treatment plan. When it did not resolve the problem, Melanie was honest and said this needed to be treated surgically, but reassured me I was welcome back if I needed further help afterwards. My original orthopedist wanted to do major surgery which would require months of rehab. I took the time to do some research and seek out a second opinion (people, always ALWAYS get a second opinion, even if you like the first one!). I found a different doctor who agreed to the repair in a less-drastic manner, so I underwent that procedure in May of this year. My post-surgery care instructions were basically "don't rush it" and "see how you feel" with no mention of rehab. While the procedure went flawlessly, a few days after surgery I was feeling completely beleaguered and called Armworks again, thinking maybe Melanie could provide some advice on what I'm calling "managed healing." I was not optimistic since I was still in quite a bit of pain. Melanie has been such a calming presence, therapy is structured, prescribed exercises are very reasonable and have been so effective. She has a high emotional IQ so has provided support in that fashion as well. I'm still in rehab but I'm back to doing the things I was unable to do before - washing my hair, chopping food, opening cans. Pretty soon I will be back on the golf course. Melanie and my hand surgeon have given me my life back.
