I've been going to Fox Chase…read morefor the past 15 years and never had a problem with any of the staff there, but only in 2020 when I call a few times a no one returned my phone calls from GI department. Now I have a son that used to go there and got treated for cancer who had a horrifying experience. He was kicked out of the hospital with the IV and catherer on him. He was discriminated on. Up to this day, he doesn't know why they did it. I know his girlfriend was there that day and they were having a loud conversation, nurses and security guard got into their business and wrongfully kicked him out knowing he was on strong medication and couldn't come out of there. They also used him as a guinea pig feeding him with hopes that he was gonna get better and he never did. The last thing that happened was they ignored a back pain he was having they kept telling him it was all in his head. Four months later, his spine broke because they did not take the proper care to look into the pain he was having. Finally I called 911 one day I went to his house because his girlfriend abandoned confined to a bed with his four children. He was taken to Jean's hospital and did all type of test and finally found out he had a cancerous tumors on his spine and from there he kept going down the hill until he pass away. The end of the story was sad.

Since doctors are typically super busy and hard to track down or see, their nurses are the ones to face patients most of the time. Lauren is very dedicated to her work and considerate of her patients. She always encourages patients and their family care givers to call her or the office whenever they have any questions, and she always returns calls timely. She is kind-hearted and listens to her patients' worries and concerns. She makes every effort to make sure to communicate patients' questions to the doctors she works with for answers and solutions. I can't say enough thanks to Lauren! On a separate note, the nurses in the infusion room are all wonderful, so caring and competent that make the harsh treatment much less stressful for the patients and their families. Big thanks to all the ladies there!

The employees at Cooper Voorhees understand exactly what you and your loved one are facing and they know exactly how to make you feel great in such trying times and they do it very very well. While it's a shame that I simply cannot come close to saying any of the same for Cooper hospital in Camden NJ, I do prey for anyone ending up there for testing or anything else and prey some of the employees there get their heads checked and straightened out, however Cooper Voorhees as far Oncology or any other services is where you want to be if unfortunately you need such services. Save yourself the pain, the stress, and the tears of the foul treatment people receive at Virtua /Penn, and go straight to Cooper Voorhees, and let your worries fade away at least a bit.

The front end team were so personable. They took my call immediately followed up with me to ensure I got the best available date and time for my appointment and tracked all my needed paperwork. When I arrived to the appointment, checking in was easy. The nurses that took care of me were kind and loving. And when I finally saw the doctor he sat with me and throughly discussed everything with me. Again I am glad I came here. I will recommend to anyone I meet.

Went today for a second opinion about my squamous cell carcinoma on my mouth. I met with an…read moreoncologist who supposedly was top rated. The man starts off with now I've been on infusion therapy at another hospital for six months. He turned to me and says well maybe possibly if maybe we add chemotherapy to the mixed, we could possibly maybe make the tumor shrink more. I said that's an impossibility. I said the side effects would be detrimental to my life. I work in customer relations he said absolutely the side effects that I would have would be sores in my mouth and my face would turn red and have a rash all over it. Oh yeah, I'm really gonna be able to work in customer relations, looking like some Oompa Loompa, and that's only the definite side effects that he knew about that's not the fatigue, hair, loss, muscle problems, and everything else that could possibly arise from the chemo. I said do you have any idea if this is definitely gonna work he says no he had no idea if it would be helpful at all so I should allow myself to have chemo when they have no even percentage factor that it could possibly help so I should have poisonous medication put into my system on maybe a hunch. Then I met with the surgeon who told me that I'll have an opening after the tumor is removed and that they have no idea how bad that my speech will be affected from it that I will need speech therapy. It will take a year to come back from this. They don't know whether or not I'll ever be able to properly. Use my mouth again and then starts talking about taking lymph nodes out of my neck considering that my CT scans are clean for my lymph nodes. He says well maybe possibly there might be something micro size in the neck and so we're gonna have to go cut your neck up and take out your lymph nodes in your neck just because it might be a safety factor that we have to do With no backing information on any scan that states that this is a necessary thing to do I have never seen such negligence and misrepresentation? I have no trust in the doctors that I saw today and I would advise everybody to avoid this hospital

The phone system for the Helen Graham Cancer Center is absolutely horrible. As I write this I've…read morebeen on hold for 12 minutes. Then I was told to leave a message. And the reason I called was because someone from that office left me a message that my appointment I have in two days needs to be changed. It's not the first time this has happened, either. This center needs a better phone system and a better scheduling center. Out of 5 stars I give Helen Graham Cancer Center's phone system AND scheduling system a NEGATIVE 5 stars.
