I was seated immediately and given a menu, and before long the waitress was back with drinks and ready to take my order. The kitchen is visible from the dining area so you can watch your meal being prepared if you feel so inclined. You can also dine outside in the alfresco area which is really nice. Our entre of chicken wings whilst not bad, wasn't really good either, and we probably wont order those again. The main meal however was extremely well prepared and presented, and was delicious to the last bite. The atmosphere is quiet pleasant, and the staff were very helpful and attentive. They have a good range of local and imported beers and spirits if thats your thing, and whilst not the cheapest meal we have ever had it is good value for money given the quality of the food and the overall experience. I will definately go back and dine there again, its very good.

Coffee arrived with a layer of milky foam I was frothing to drink it and it didn't let me down. Flavours were subtle and it went down smooth and easy. Food was a delicious umami delight. My order was the Madcowes Hash ($18), the large croquette was crispy, kasundi mushrooms meaty, egg soft and oozing offset nicely with crisp watercress. Looked good and tasted great .. olive oil was so fresh it was almost fluorescent green! Grab the bull by the horns and pop into this cafe when you're next in this small seaside town. Papers a plenty! I decided that, well, maybe it was enough. THANK GOD (or whatever I don't believe in) because I ended up here instead ! Decided to go healthy (that's impressive Pierre) and had the Mad Cowes chicken salad (as you could see in the pictures) and it was a freaking good as it looked awesome ! The seasonning was just perfect, the chicken was not dry at all, and... I HATE THE CUCUMBERS (ALL OF THEM) You don't know me, but it's a big deal, if I say to my friends that I ate cucumbers, they would die instantly. It's like Superman eating Kryptonite, or... Batman eating his dead parents ! Fast forward to today, Dandenong has continued to grow and some amazing small businesses have come to the area. I would say since this time Beletti's hasn't been the busy little hub as smaller (and better) coffee shops moved closer to the bigger offices, making the walk to Beletti's for coffee obsolete. Also, with the huge success of The Pavilion just around the corner I'd be surprised if Beletti's hasn't taken a hit. After telling my sister over three years ago (back when it was really good) I'd take her here for brunch, I finally got around to it yesterday. The interior of Beletti's is modern, well-lit and spacious. I've never had bad service here, they're so friendly and welcoming. I just had a latte and a ham, cheese and tomato croissant from the breakfast menu. The coffee was decent, the croissant was quite soggy at the bottom which was disappointing. My sister reported her soy chai was delightful. In its heyday, this place was great. Still good for the odd work meeting or breakfast if you work nearby, or for dinner if you live local. I think it just happens to be that better coffee shops and restaurants have moved into the area in recent years and are in closer proximity to the Dandenong CBD so it makes makes coming to Beletti's a bit... unnecessary, for lack of a better word.

I decided to give Beletti a go. I ordered the pork robs for dinner and they are awesome. They have a Jack Daniels marinade that is really tasty. It was a Friday night and the place was half full. Nicely decorated & with a relaxed feel I enjoyed lounging on the comfy sofas in the window, watching the comings & goings as I enjoyed a decent sized cappuccino & a yoyo biscuit. The Yoyo was apparently pistachio flavoured but it tasted much the same as any other yoyo that I've ever had. The coffee was great & considering the size of the cup the taste was not diminished. Service was friendly & fairly prompt considering that I arrived in what seemed like the mid-morning rush. All-in-all I would say that PostScript is well worth calling in at if you find yourself in this area. I would certainly be checking out their food menu if I'm ever back in the vicinity as it looked pretty good.

The salad came later which was not even worth eating, the dressing was sugary and the leaves wilted. They could definitely lift their game food wise.
