Mike, one of the owners, quickly diagnosed the problem and discovered extensive old knob-and-tube wiring throughout our 1935 Cape Cod. The entire house was rewired with Romex, and although a whole-house rewire is a major project, the experience could not have gone more smoothly. The project took about three weeks, and every member of the team was friendly, highly experienced, respectful, and incredibly considerate. They were especially mindful of keeping the work area clean and accommodating my sensitivities to allergens. Our dogs loved them:) They arrived on time every day, communicated clearly, and the office was always quick to answer questions and respond to messages. Their workmanship was exceptional. You can hardly tell there was any cutting into the walls. They carefully repaired the small openings they had to make, even matching some very old paint colors. They reinstalled light fixtures, molding, and everything else with great care and attention to detail. They also replaced and upgraded outlets throughout the property, worked on our outdoor buildings, and even inspected checked out an underground electrical line. Their expertise extends well beyond standard residential wiring. One thing I especially appreciated was Mike's honesty. He determined that our electrical panel did not need to be replaced, saving us from unnecessary expense. It's refreshing to work with a contractor who recommends only what is truly needed. Mike and Rebecca have built an outstanding company. Mike is truly at the top of his profession, and I would trust him with any electrical project. The entire team takes pride in their work, and it shows. They were very patient with all my many questions and Rebecca is a wonderful person to connect with. Weather turned colder a bit earlier this year so it was time to fire up the furnace only the…read morefurnace wouldn't fire up!Having had it serviced last year and the year before I knew it had some other parts due for eventual replacement but thought this year would be start easier but after a few days of trying on our own and a few nights shivering, I knew we needed help so began to call around getting answering machines or offers to come in a few days by some until I called American AirFlow tech James, was the first one to say he could come on the same day! He came and did his service very well and worked very hard. He cleaned out our furnace thoroughly and replaced the thermocoupler but still something was preventing it from staying lit. Turned out it needed a new gas valve which was outside the normal system which is very old. The day was late and he told me that it needed a part that wasn't available in our area so James went out of his way to another town to get that part and returned in the same evening and worked into the night to make sure our furnace was working fine again. Its so good to feel the radiators hot again! Thankyou James for a job well done and a price that we could afford ! I highly recommend James at American AirFlow for any emergency need as well as other services he performs. When I replace my old system I plan on having James come and install one of his newer energy efficient systems so next season will be even better.
