    My name is Eve Page. This was the first PM I ever hired and they knew this. Apparently, you're treated like crap if they find this out because they sure abused the Hell out of me. Marie Sharps and her team cost me an insane amount of money. I went back to remote managing after this company cost me so much money. After over half a year goes by and refusing to arrange for repairs to be completed so the home could be rented out, finally I'm told I need to put money on the books. Why they didn't tell me at least one time even though I was constantly contacting them every few weeks (but was constantly ignored) I have NO IDEA! My porch was covered in leaves and the rotting leaves became a slip hazard that I could see on my exterior cameras. I asked for it to be taken care of but was ignored constantly. Since this was on the outside, I eventually hired a contractor. (Picture after my contractor swept up the leaves.) On the last month of my tenants contract is when I hired ARM. They were rude to my tenant that was moving out so my tenant left cat feces on the wood floor for them to pick up. Their response was NOT to hire a cleaning company and, instead, leave the feces until the feces stained the wood floors. I signed a one year contract, but they never put a tenant in. The lost of income was significant. I repeatedly asked for the electrical issue to be taken care of and ARM was too lazy/busy to care. We go into a standstill because I refused to have my home rented with a safety issue. Marie Sharps tells me that's what insurance is for. She finally gets a licensed electrician company to satisfy me but she must've made some crazy deal with the worker because it was the most crazy, unsafe electrical job EVER! (See picture and invoice.) Eventually I started to add the repair requests into their system to ensure there's a legal trail of what was happening. ARM kept closing out repairs that were never looked at or completed. Then they removed them all from the system but I had already taken a screenshot. Upon them taking over, it seemed there was a new moisture issue in the home that I was *constantly* asking if they could get a contractor to figure out what was going on. They never did. What Marie Sharps did do was leave every window unlocked and the HVAC off. I had exterior cameras and months upon months would go by and I could see she never checked on the home. This cost me thousands upon thousands of dollars. The place had to be gutted (drywall replaced, wood cabinets replaced, wood doors replaced, HVAC system disinfected with two different chemicals, the air disinfected with a commerical system and special, expensive filters). So how did I find out about the feces staining the wood floors and the mold throughout the house? Well after over half a year went, late October I believe it was, I asked my security guy from Virgina to move an exterior camera location. He climbed into an unlocked window to see how the home was doing and found it in RUINS. I originally hired them because showing the place and getting contractors to work with an out of state home owner was difficult. Ohhhh, I had NO IDEA getting a PM would make everything far more worse!

Our real estate agent, Annette, was amazing and was able to line us up great showings for the days we were here. She stayed on top of new listings and was able to work them in for us to view. Thanks to her help we were able to find our house in one trip and put in an offer. She kept us updated on our trip back to Michigan and we were able to finalize our offer by the 4th day. Things were a little stressful handling it all from Michigan but they did everything they could to make the whole process easier. They even were able to connect us up with an insurance broker, home inspector, and more from the area (they all were fantastic.) When we came down to close they made sure everything was ready for us at closing. Plus they even surprised us with a house warming gift. I love that we found them and would recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell!

ME: Buying from out of state, closing from out of state, and wanting a house with character in a neighborhood to match (having never been to Knoxville). LAUREL: Didn't bat an eye (at least over the phone or email) when I told her I was located in Boston and interested in finding a place with character this summer when I relocated to Knoxville (a city I had never been to) and only had a budget to visit once to look at homes. Laurel listened to what I wanted and immediately helped me understand the market, the neighborhoods, and what I could get if/when I was ready to take action. We planned my trip down early, because Laurel said it was most important for me to tour the neighborhoods/streets so I could feel comfortable taking action from afar, as it's a seller's market so things go quickly. On the weekend I visited, Laurel picked me up from my hotel and spent the whole few days giving me a guided tour of all potential neighborhoods (doing home tours as well), taking me to cafes and restaurants in areas I liked--a friend of hers even waved to her as we were driving in an area I loved, and she said, "wait we should stop, you'd really like her and she could be your first neighborhood friend!". When I didn't fall in love with any homes that weekend, Laurel told me to hold out, the right one will show up. Once I got back to Boston, Laurel video-toured homes, with me watching on the other end. Then she took millions of pictures of each place that had potential so that I could really feel like I was there. When I found the perfect home, Laurel expertly navigated me through the bidding process (first time home buyer). If that wasn't enough (already she was a 5-star-er), Laurel knew I wanted to get some of the fixer-upper work done ASAP, and since I was still out of state until over a week after closing, Laurel helped me find a contractor from afar (she owns multiple homes in the Knoxville area that she is constantly working on herself), navigated their bids on the space, and let them in and out of the space (ALL AFTER CLOSING)! When I finally arrived in town (wood floors redone and a planned day-2-in-town meeting with a contractor about a bathroom remodel), Laurel met me at my house with a beautiful houseplant and kind and encouraging words! Now, I'm in a house I love, in a neighborhood that already feels welcoming and comforting. I can't wait to get my place all filled out and fancy and then invite Laurel over for some food. Laurel isn't just a great realtor, she's a wonderful, caring, and kind individual that I am so so lucky to have found. It would be a mistake not to use her for any of your realtor needs.
