Just became I management team a few months ago at Laurel Place Subdivision , so for they're the best!!

My father has lived here for over 10 years, they have gone through so many people. They promised him new bushes - 9 years ago, still haven't rec'd. There are potholes - that really can cause an accident, and they will be liable since its been reported. His dues have gone up, and up because other people are not paying theirs. HOA should protect the people but it is not. My father doesn't ask for much, and then no one will get back to him EVER. They may finally post something in Townsq, but he does not know anything about computers. Overall, they are horrible at the financials and should be holding those that are not paying accountable, and not making harder on the ones that pay their dues. Just simple bushes and pot hole to be fixed. Not happy at all. I will continue to help my father until something is resolved. read more

I cannot even give 1 star. I live at Colonial Park condos, and have for over 15 years. The HOA has done nothing but taken money from us, more and more, until I literally cannot pay it, causing a lien to be put on my home. They have done zero to earn it, or our trust, in them. It's a money pit in itself, all on same water line, but fee is same per condo. I m stuck, I cannot pay the astronomical fees, and can't sell. Lisa Cannon has been so unhelpful to the point of just not caring about us homeowners. They only care about how much money they can get out of us. I was told, after the condos burned down 5 years ago, that our fees would drastically go up, to a tune of $250 a month, but as soon as they built new condos and they sold , that that would go back down. These were built in 1978, or run down, and everyone has to have Plumbing done constantly. I have spent over $5,000 in the last year I'm just Plumbing issues. But that is not taken into consideration at all . They still expect money, money, money to come from us. This has become the worst nightmare of my life , of all the places I have ever lived. I have never experienced such non-caring , money grabbing people , and I know I have been conned many times out of money since I've lived here. I wish there was something more I could do than just put a review, but obviously I cannot afford a lawyer after what has happened to me here. ​​​​​ And, these new condos going up in my backyard? Our property manager is hiding from us after hiring people for a job that are totally incompetent and caused lots of damage to our property. She will not respond . Next her boss will be hearing from us, and next the Nashville office. If we can't get through to anyone there, I will be contacting the National office just like I had to do before under a diff property manager. This is the worst property management company. I requested the direct payment for my HOA in March and called them to confirm the setup was correct in April. However, the company started telling me in June that the direct payment didn't go through for the HOA in April. There were at least a three-month delay for them to find issues in their direct payment setting. I started contacting them to solve the problem in July after finding out the direct payment issue. They were very very slow to respond to my request and still kept charging me bank fee, late fee, and administration fee until September. If you found the issue already and got the customer request to figure out a solution, why did you still keep drafting the direct payment every month? I gave them the right information, and my account is active all the time. They told me to talk to my bank to provide evidence that my account information was correct. I did and get my bank's multiple letters that there's nothing wrong with my account. My bank said they just needed to call the bank or reset the direct pay correctly. Guess what? They didn't even want to make the call to do things right and told me my bank should call them. They said the solution was I submit the direct payment request to them again to solve the issue. Really? You couldn't tell me this only solution three months ago? If this is the only solution, why did you still ask me to talk to my bank and provide the evidence of my account information? If you already knew there's an issue with direct payment setting and got the customer request to resolve the issue, why did you still attempt to draft money monthly and charge me the returned check fee? I am very very disappointed with the company and will not recommend them at all if you can avoid them. read more

Terrible for 11 years with property management. Yet we have them again voted in once again somehow with the rotating board. We had some issues taken care of when first renewed contract in November by Judith H. was very prompt about matters, but then it fell onto Cristina W. and been mess going backwards now communication. Also, when at meeting was not professional in being a property manager where you introduce yourself and also stand up when speaking at all.... That is my survey I have all kinds to share with what I think of Associa.. A few months ago I spoke with Lisa Cannon who had concerns about the word of "Ethics" about our property manager, the 5th in less than 3 years, we came to an agreement that I could reach out to them anytime, communication was the upmost importance. That has definitely changed, as an even more ethical situation has come up again, and won't make any attempt to look deeper into this matter, as a well respected former HOA President, secretary and board member, was defamed in an email sent out to the present board by the manipulative property manager. read more

Something is seriously wrong at the 9041 Executive Park Drive office. The CAM for The Homestead needs retraining. The issue started after we closed on the sale of our property in The Homestead last Friday. I contacted the CAM, Priscilla, and asked that we be removed from the Town Square app that is used for paying dues, community message boards, etc. Priscilla replied and said she could not remove our account until their settlement office in Texas received the required closing documents. I replied to her that the documents were mailed out last Friday, day of closing, as instructed. Priscilla replied and, very unprofessionally, she threw the title company under the bus and cast doubt on whether or not they had actually sent the docs. I replied to that email stating that it was very unprofessional of her to which she replied, defending her professionalism and stating that other title companies had failed to correctly send the closing docs. So I let the title company know about her reply and they replied with tracking information which I sent to Priscilla. She replied again with explanations...excuses... and nothing helpful. She said I need not reply to her email. I think it was in her next email she asked why I am so upset with her. I have nearly 20 years real estate experience as an agent, and I've never known a CAM to throw a title company or other professional under the bus. There may be an anti-trust violation there, IDK. I sent another email explaining, in detail, how her unprofessional statement about the title company could have been avoided by simply thanking me for the tracking information the title company and I had provided to her and that she would send me an email notifying me when our account is closed, after the Texas office receives the closing docs, instead of expressing doubt. I told her she need not reply with anything except confirmation of the closing of our account. Her next reply was that she had ALREADY SET UP THE NEW ACCOUNT FOR THE BUYER and was going to notify him and if I had anything else to say I could call her at the number she provided. I was livid. I replied to her, asking how the hell she could open a new account for the buyer, BEFORE RECEIVING CLOSING DOCS, when she could not close our account until they received the closing docs. I explained to her that she cannot have two accounts open on the same lot, that is double dipping. And I informed her I would not be communicating with her by phone call. I learned a long time ago to keep it in writing. I feel like it's possible something illegal might be going on with the way they are handling the opening and closing of accounts for lot sales. I spoke with former Homestead owners yesterday who experienced the exact same problem with this specific CAM. Weeks and months after their closing, they were still being billed for HOA dues. Something is not being communicated between their settlements office in Texas and their physical location in Tennessee. It is ridiculous that the closing docs have to be mailed to Texas for properties owned in Tennessee. It causes a delay in closing accounts but that's beside the issue of Priscilla opening a new account for the buyer before receiving account closed notification for us. If she can't close out the sellers account before receiving the docs, she can't open a new account for the buyer until you receive those exact same docs. So right now, there are two billing accounts open for both us the seller and the new owner, the buyer. This is unacceptable accounting practice. I have searched a Tennessee licensing website and could not find a CAM license for Priscilla. I am going to have to do a little more searching to try and find it. Last year, I discovered that the CAM for the neighborhood where I live in Florida is not licensed, and still not licensed, and has violated three or four Florida statutes. I had to report her after she sent a letter threatening legal action for an issue for which we had not previously received any notifications. She did it without board approval, in defiance of their instructions. So, I now find it necessary to confirm license status of any CAM with whom I have to deal. I just checked tracking of the priority package the title company sent to the Texas office and after four business days, it's still sitting in intransit status. No expected delivery indication yet. Oh, one other issue. Associa charges between $500 and $600 in transfer fees for closing an account and opening a new account, which probably takes less than 20-30 minutes. This transfer fee is way too high! Here in Florida, they put a stop to that when title companies started charging criminally high transfer fees like this, where they're trying to make up for lost revenue during the foreclosure and short sale boom. Some of these title companies are flat out stealing from buyers and sellers. read more

By far the worse property management company I've ever come across. Top to bottom, poorly managed, do not live up to contract, bad response time. They can't even keep a calendar straight for the community. There training for property managers is terrible. They have had 5 in last 2 years. Wow! I just read Lisa B's review Of Associa Tn. She sounds like a nut and certainly could be liable for defamation. Happy to say I live in an Associa Tn managed community. I was told accounts were closed out & set up in a Texas dept. & not the local office when I bought my house and contacted Associa Tn in Knoxville. I sent the local office my closing paperwork because the settlement company did not follow through. I was told it would be sent to Texas to that dept. because they did not have access. Everything so far with with the Knoxville office has been great! read more

If you think they are bad managing your HOA, then you should work for them. They are the worst company ever. The manager of the Knoxville office has been reported several times and they continue to do nothing about her. She runs every good manager off and is very unprofessional. They overload their managers with so many HOA accounts that there is no way to keep up unless you work 60 hrs per week. Don't work for them or hire them to manage your HOA. read more

Associa is the Property Management company that oversees our PUD townhouse community in Knoxville. If someone's pet defecates in an undesirable location, a bag of trash is placed next to a full trash can on trash pick up day, or a neighbors vehicle has expired tags - Associa is all over it! They send erroneous notices making threats of fines like it was their only purpose in life. However, someone builds an unauthorized structure, such as a gate and encloses another owners property - specifically their HVAC unit, and Associa can't be bothered with it. Associa harasses owners and tenants with petty insignificant business, that is none of their concern, but when real issues are presented and need resolution, oddly enough, Associa conveniently makes it none of their business. All one has to do is read their online reviews. Be it Google or other social media accounts, the general consensus is always the same. I would NEVER recommend Associa. read more

I am very happy with Associa's management of Heritage Landing. Karen and Hilary are responsive and cordial, and there are no more lapses in office coverage when you cannot reach anyone. Changes they've made have been improvements. All is well at HL. read more

Absolutely the most difficult HOA management company to work with. They were hired by Blakewood HOA and immediately went up on HOA monthly fees. Then they went through the complex & forced everyone hire a professional power washing company to power wash their unit and driveways. They are forcing me to replace a wooden front column because some of the other residence columns are rotting. Mine is NOT rotten, but I must replace it. My garage door has a few dents on it and they are FORCING me to replace the panels. They forced me paint the back door molding.. really... back door... Who see's that??? If I don't do these things then they are going to charge me additional assessment fees and get their contractors to do the work. Of course, this is a way for the HOA to pay Associa's fees for managing the complex. BEWARE... Associa wants to force resident's to do these things to justify their fees. Oh yes, they were trying to get everyone to pay for termite treatment. I am sure that Associa had a way to make money off of this... However, they could not get a majority vote. read more
