The GPS the cab uses sends you on the longest route possible. Use your own GPS when taking the cab. Luckily the driver noticed the issue with the routing and adjusted the price. I've also heard rumors of the management exploiting their drivers. Would not recommend. read more

terrible service: have been using for the last few weeks under WCB: as other remarks they go the longest possible route. have refused to take me to places that have been cleared. do not follow instruction on where to pick up, have gone to the wrong place numerous times. argue about every pickup and drop off. dispatch will not understand simple instruction to the point of frustration. drivers do not fill out the paperwork properly, request or fake signatures with amounts that are not on the meter. driver today refused to put the total on the receipt before signing. read more

Absolute worst service from the taxi dispatch. The lady is rude and cuts you off. I had to pay an extra $80 for a mistake that they made. I had to get a taxi from Innisfail to Red Deer and called the night before. They said they would get the cab to me at 8:30 in the morning, but then called at 8 the day of to say that they overbooked the cab and asked if I would prefer a cab for 8 or wait until after 9. I had a class at 9:30 in Red Deer so chose the former and they asked if I would like them to send one from Red Deer. They did not say this would be another cab that would come at 8:30 I assumed the one they were sending now was the one from Red Deer. Why would I need 2 cabs to get to one place? Don't get a cab from here; they will trick you and cost you way more money than the ride is worth. (They also overbooked my last cab) read more

Associated now owned by Alberta Gold and much the worse for it. I refused to use Alberta Gold for years because of poor service. I called for Associated got an Alberta Gold driver who wanted to go his way and when I questioned him he took us back to where we started and left us there. read more

The worst taxi company I've ever seen in any city. Every time I've used them it's was a really scary ride in really dirty cars. Even just sharing the road with these bad drivers is scary. Almost daily I see these white cabs all over the road, speeding, racing red lights, cutting others off...a true menace to the road. Don't ride with them unless you like to get scared. And avoid them on the road if you can. read more

I'm giving the other main cab company in Red Deer three stars as well. I will say this about Associated, they will call you when they show up at your door (if you don't step out the door within the first minute or so), and they seem more likely to ask for your name when you hop in to their cabs (to prevent cab piracy). Though the other day I called one and two guys got to it before I did, and they were gone. I was pretty pissed about that. Called the dispatch and let them know what happened, and they made sure another one came within 4 minutes. read more

I live in long term care and have been phoning for my own handicap cab to go to doctor appointments for the last year and a half and now all of a sudden we are required to have the staff to phone to book if it's on the care home's account as they require a password. I was also told that to get home we are just required to phone and tell them it's a return trip and it can go on account. This worked a few weeks ago although I had to wait over 2 hours because I was not in the right zone so people coming after me were getting on before me because a cab was in their zone. After about an hour in my chair I'm shaking in pain, and since my appointment was about an hour waiting another 2 almost had me in the ER. Today when I called to have the cab pick me up I was asked for the password. I explained what I was told and she , in not the nicest voice, told me this is how it is. I admit whole heartedly that my next sentence had a curse word in it but it was not said rudely nor was it directed at anybody but out of exasperation of being told different things every time I call. They were 20 minutes late picking me up and the nurse made the booking yesterday so I was also frustrated at being late for my appointment. The response I got back was very rude telling me that if I'm going to talk like that I will get nothing. The nurse phoned and after 30 minutes finally got through to book the cab to pick me up and apparently was told that if I ever talk like that again I will be banned from the cab. I would have apologized for the curse word had she not been rude back to me and showed some empathy, understanding where I'm coming from. I'm sure they deal with rude people but the amount of rudeness I get from dispatch, no wonder people are rude. I'm glad for those of you with good experiences, but I'm guessing most of them are regular cabs not handicap ones. I will say the drivers have always been great, just the lady at dispatch is where my major concerns are. We need other cabs to get wheelchair cabs but the city of Red Deer makes that difficult when a new company comes in and they receive only a few licenses so they're not able to look into this. Associated has the monopoly and some of them act like it. I will be complaining to the city of Red Deer and go from there. I'll now be waiting a long time again but at least they took me at my appointment even though I was late. I've had to cancel quite a few appointments because they never showed up. It's frustrating being dependent on others and they take advantage of it. read more

I have been dealing with this company for the Past 7 months. paying a minimum of 450$ a month, I have had nothing but troubles with them! I would call a cab to Walmart for pickup and they wouldn't have the audacity to notify me that they have arrived, so I would wait another 30 minutes for another cab. another one I paid a cab driver 15.80$ he calls me at 10:30 at night to say he didn't get paid. I show him my online banking and proof of the payment and I still end up having to pay another 15.00$ I have plenty more complaints/incidents with this company I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! read more

I have been using these cabs for years they always show up to my house within five minutes of me calling I live on the north end of red deer. Always pleasant drivers for the most part I'm sure we all have had our nightmare cab rides but I have had none with this company. Never been late to where I've been going. read more

i call associated cab to help me because i had a lot of groceries i left some groceries in the cab. i phone and ask if they can give me my groceries the lady who answer my phone said there is nothing found and she answer was very rude.so i didnot get my groceries back. not good. read more

On New Year's Day , I was sexually harnessed from Red Deer to Calgary, I am sixty years old, driver was half my age , terrorized all the way to Calgary ,where he then took a wrong turn purposely , had his spot already chosen, the only thing that saved me was a row of trucks starting there their engines much to his surprise, I got to airport , contacted RCMP,who took my complaint very seriously, only to find out there was no law in Canada against this,because there was no touching, they could see where he takes wrong turn on video , funny how he goes to airport all time, they called him back to airport where he admits he should not have spoken to me like that. He was from Afganastan applying for Canadian citizenship, with four kids under the age of eight, he needs to go back there , where this behaviour is tolerated,owner did not refund my two hundred dollars, so this was ok with him too, I will never take a cab with a male again. Since then have heard similar stories from woman there, and they wonder why people are skeptical of them. read more
