I saw a specialist about my torn cornia and did not like the practice. The same day I was able to get into the Royal Oak office and had an amazing experience. Everything from every teck doing tests to the initial examine Doctor, was so thoural, kind and explained everything. I knew this is the group I wanted to this surgery. Had a refridgerator box in the eye and it did some damage. They got me in the very next day and told me the retina was intact and that everything would be fine. Very reassuring and the light flashes I was having eventually went away. Great folks and very speedy appointment. Now my wife has a problem and we are calling them tomorrow to try and get an appointment for her. Great folks. read more

My husband had a spontaneous hole in his retina. He was seeing floaters and "strings" and decreased vision. He was seen after hours on a Monday and the hole was lasered an sealed up! His follow up was 10 days later with Dr Capone (easy name to remember) and his eye is healing nicely! Minimal office wait time, well run and efficient and very clean! read more

Last month, I called Associated Retinal Consultants very last minute to get in to see a doctor. They were able to get me, an existing patient, in same day after hours and found a retinal detachment. I had surgery the next day and Dr. Randhawa has done an amazing job at following up himself with my care and appointments. I had the same surgery 20 years ago with Dr. Williams on my other eye and have been seeing him yearly for 20 years. I have been very happy with all the doctors I have seen and their care. This particular location has a longer wait than others. One area of frustration was getting some records and letters for work from the office. There are some amazing office personnel, don't get me wrong, and they've worked hard to get me in when I need it. However, I'm a teacher and needed a letter for work to get a substitute for a long period of time and it took nearly 3 days to receive that letter. Overall, though, I've been very happy with the care. I also like that they work out of Beaumont for surgical procedures but can do most laser procedures in the office. They also have many locations. read more

I had no problem with the doctor and the nursing staff. It was the office staff up front that constantly would not give the appointments that we're needed and the time frame that we're given had no compassion or understanding. They should actually go for training in that aspect. We'll not go back ever again now. Hunting for a new doctor. read more

Excellent doctors and services; inefficient office personal and nurses. No one notified me that there was a program that would save me hundreds of dollars. No one notified me that the procedure cost over a thousand dollars. No one offered any post procedure instructions that had been said would be provided. No one provided the doctor clear instruction as to why I had returned. Finally sorted out the billing, paid out with what I was told was the total with the new co-pay...did not include the co-pay. Months later a new bill for the co-pay. Paying it is not the issue. The issue is the obvious and continuing lackluster office services. read more

Everytime I make an appointment, and arrange to have time off from my job, I get a call from Retina Consultants that I have to change my appointment because the doctor will not be available for my appointment. Don't they know that when I make the appointment? I may have to seek another doctor. This is getting ridiculous. read more

Dr. Capone is brilliant, kind, and passionate about eye care. He has the best bedside manner of any doctor we have ever seen for our special needs child. He listens to our concerns and explains things we don't understand. We have seen him for several years and will not go anywhere else. The office is clean and beautiful. We also love all of the nurses and staff at the Children's Center where surgeries are performed. People come from all over the world to see the doctors at ARC.
