Dr. Spigelman -- where do I begin? I guess I'll start more than 15 years ago, when my grandmother became his patient after another surgeon blinded one of her eyes for a routine procedure. At 70+ years old, things looked hopeless for her. After coming to Dr. Spigelman and being treated for a number of years, she was shocked one day; my grandmother opened her eyes and saw out of her prior blind eye. Fast forward to 2015, and I came to see the doctor for vision correction. The only surgery I knew of was LASIK, and after a few tests, Dr. S suggested an alternative procedure to correct my eyesight. He knew I was nervous and reassured me things would be okay, specifying the technique he used, pre and post op procedures, and even explained that several members of his family -- and he, too -- have undergone vision correction. His bedside manner and warmth are rare traits amongst many doctors these days, and I never felt like he rushed or like my concerns went unheard. He really made me feel as comfortable as possible and his staff were also kind and helpful during the process. There were many laughs shared with his staff and they were incredibly thorough and explained the post-op effects like blurriness of vision on the second day. The doctor checked in regularly after my procedure and was very attentive, asking me to come in for post-op appointments to make sure everything looked great. The most impressive thing to me was that all of the pre and post operation appointments were included in the price for the surgery -- the cost and breakdown were very transparent, and ultimately, very reasonable for what I got. Long story short, Dr. Spigelman restored my vision too. His hands, knowledge, and approach are truly transformational. Three years later, not a day goes by where I don't wake up to see things clearly or don't enjoy activities without the aid of glasses and contacts. Didn't correct my eyes to 20/20 (I ultimately ended up at 20/40) and didn't seem to care that they'd not done what was promised. For four months I went without being able to see well enough to drive (and by the way, I am not retired and had to figure out how to work during that time). It was such a stressful experience and each time I went back for a followup appointment, the attitude was, "Hey, we're awesome, it's your eyes that aren't working." Zero empathy for the fact that I couldn't see. Also continually refused to give me corrective lenses so I could function. I finally gave up on them and returned to my regular eye doctor to complete the followup treatment (and lo and behold, they were able to put me into corrective lenses so I could actually, finally return to being a fully functioning adult!). It was a horrid experience. So horrid that I am not even willing to let them do the contract guaranteed touchup. The level of stress that office created was off the charts. And then, as if the in-office treatment wasn't bad enough, they told me they'd waive the copay for my initial followup appointment, and then sent me bills and threatened to turn me over to collections, for a whooping $50. I would never recommend this place. Do not trust your eyesight to this office. I wish I had checked the reviews before going there because now I can see that mine is a pretty common experience, unfortunately. read more

Had an appointment scheduled in July that they had to reschedule (I get it, things happen) but then couldn't get me in until December - very disappointed!! The doctor is the one who wanted to see me in 6 months, so now I'm back to square one for a doctor. I wasn't even the one who needed to reschedule, it was them and not being able to get in for another 5 months is absolutely ridiculous. Zero stars. In 2024, my husband had cataract surgery with Dr. Mark Siegel, and it turned into a nightmare. The surgery took far longer than expected, something clearly went wrong, and yet nobody ever explained what actually happened. Afterward, my husband repeatedly complained of discomfort in his right eye, but we were told everything was "excellent." It wasn't. On Thanksgiving Eve his eye became red, painful, and tearing. In the afternoon we called the office, we spoke with multiple staff members, including doctor Donna, but instead of asking us to come in right away, we were casually told to use prednisone drops and "call on Monday." That meant waiting four long days. I now understand that we should have gone to the office immediately because every minute counted in that situation. However, we were not invited, and we did not grasp how serious it was. This cost us valuable time as the deterioration progressed rapidly over the next few hours. By evening, my husband's vision was collapsing, and we had to rush to the hospital. By then the damage was severe: at that time he had lost his vision and almost lost an eye due to an infection. The retina specialist told us that this was not a casual infection, but one that could been introduced during the operation. The office later washed their hands of responsibility, saying they were only "front eye" specialists and that "back eye" problems weren't their concern. And, of course, they are protected by lawyers and our signatures on documents. To top it off, when we requested husband's medical records, the office delayed for weeks. When they finally sent them, his file contained another patient's private medical information. I understand that mistake happens. However, this practice has shown a shocking lack of professionalism. They don't really care. I strongly urge others to think twice before putting their vision in these hands. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Grey for years now. Originally started due to cataracts. Dr. Grey is a kind and gentle man. Always takes the time to explain everything to me. After my cataract surgery my vision was High Definition. They have the latest and best equipment for measurements. I also have dry eye and he has helped me with that. I started doing lipiflow twice which worked great and now I get plugs every 6 months. The staff is great. A busy office but a well oiled office. Would not go anywhere else and highly recommend this practice and Dr. Grey. read more

Although Dr. Grosinger is great and very knowledgeable, you see him during the appointment for like a maximum of 5 mins. This comes with the usually around 45 min wait if you're lucky and having to deal with the unbelievably rude and unprofessional desk ladies. When trying to get an appointment they'll usually give you one a month in advance. Due to this and them never having Fridays available, I would end up having to cancel a few appointments. This then only made these ladies more bold when trying to schedule an appointment later, them telling me I was taking appointments from "attempts that actually need it" . I was also confused how they would always tell me there was no appointment times for a certain day, but then when I would finally come in a day or two before, Dr. Grosinger would tell them to schedule me for a follow up on the day I initially asked about and they suddenly could. There's also a terrible matter of communication. I came in after finding out my eyes had reverted after prk and was randomly scheduled with Dr. Risting, the optometrist, instead of Dr. Grosinger even though I had been more than clear over the phone I needed to see him. My mother and I came in and ended up spending well over an hour in the waiting room, only then to find out it was with Dr. Risting, which she of course told us she couldn't help with much and that we needed to see Dr. Grosinger. Finally scheduled another apt with Grosinger with another hour and a half wait in the waiting room. I mentioned I wanted a glasses AND contact prescription. I was under the impression they did this until I went to lens crafters and found out they only did a glasses prescription. I then spent over half and hour on the phone with them where the terribly rude desk lady kept saying they do not do contact prescriptions. I found this ridiculous considering they have an optometrist and asked her to check. She told me she would check and call back later. She never did, so I called before they closed and she was again very very rude and said they don't have the equipment they need to take contact prescriptions. I then had to go out of my way to make an apt at another optometrist to have this done. Only after I did this (about a week) did I get a call letting me know they do, in fact, do contact prescriptions and that the first lady I talked to had literally not a clue what she was talking about. Overall this has been an incredibly frustrating and exhausting experience. This office has the potential to be outstanding but the office ladies do such a miserable time I genuinely would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I was concerned that my previous lasik eye surgery would be an issue for cataract surgery. Dr. Grosinger is amazing and my outcome far exceeded my expectations. My vision has never been better. Great doctors but be careful because their administrative staff is completely out to lunch. After I confirmed the pharmacy they were supposed to send my prescription to they STILL sent it to the wrong location. Of course when I called and asked what was going on all everybody did that I spoke to on the phone was point the finger at others, they seem to be good at making excuses. If the doctors weren't so good I would not be using this practice because their front office is terrible. read more

I'll keep this short & sweet - Dr. Gray has been seeing me since I was super little. I've been to 2 other eye doctors in my 23 years on this planet, but they weren't up to snuff. Dr. Gray is fantastic. I suffer from retinal migraines, which he has almost cured with treatments that do not involve surgery - that's awesome! I have yet to have a serious problem with him, the staff, or his treatment options and methods. I probably never will, either. I will say this, though: because so many people do see the doctors here, wait times are a bit high. That's the ONLY thing keeping me from a full 5-star rating. But overall, I love my doctor, and if you come to see Dr. Gray, I'm sure you will too! read more

Ridiculous wait times. Why do I have to wait over 40 minutes to be called? Why should I wait forever to do tests? Why do I only see the doctor for 5 minutes out of a 2 hour plus appointment? Stop scheduling so many patients at once so people don't have to wait for so long or only see the doctor for 5 minutes. People have lives outside of their appointment that they have to be at. I felt comfortable and relaxed during the procedure and the post-procedure instructions were well laid out. They made themselves easily available if I had any issues. Absolutely thorough, friendly, extremely knowledgable. Never a long wait, always a complete exam, extensive documentation of all aspects of your sight situation. Prescriptions called in within an hour or less to your pharmacy. Unfortunately, I found these eye care specialists after a bad experience elsewhere. That disappointing experience was at a widely known and heavily advertised Lasik Center. When I had my first exam at Dr. Grosinger's office, they found a serious issue that would have eliminated me as a candidate for the previous procedure at the lasik center. I was then referred to another remarkable retina specialist, Dr Levin who expertly corrected the defect in my eye. NEVER HAVE ANYTHING DONE TO YOUR EYES UNTIL AFTER A COMPLETE AND THOROUGH EXAM, as you would get at Dr. Grosinger, Spigelman and Grey. read more

Yesterday when I was at their office for my appointment. When I went in for the visual field test and eye mapping their was a technician named Kathy that made feel at ease and very comfortable. Very Professional, Very Clean! I loved how from the minute I walked in until I left, I felt like I had been going here for years, even through it was my first visit. I was referred to Doctor Grosinger for a LASIK consultation. My experience gives me confidence to proceed with the surgery. During every test I had done while in the office, the person performing the test explained what they were doing and why they were doing it (what this test does). Everyone treated me with great courtesy. For everything I had done while I was there I felt like I was in and out in no time. For the size of the practice, everyone still makes you feel like you are the only patient there. I really appreciated the fact that Doctor Grosinger was willing to take all the time I needed to get all my questions answered. I never felt like he was rushing me or getting annoyed with me (because I had a list of questions). Even the other people in the office seemed to have answers for everything even things I thought they for sure would have to ask about. It was very comforting to know everyone was professional, educated and cared about my visit. I also appreciated that when I scheduled my appointment they allowed me to print and send all of my paperwork to them prior to the appointment so that I wasn't sitting in the waiting room for a 1/2 hour with a clipboard full of paperwork to fill out. we have always gone to Dr. Grossinger... he is fabulous. My mother 91 had her cataracts done there. well done. went back to get her eyes checked and for a new script as her eyes had changed... also she had to go to another Dr. for added prism. as it turned out the script was wrong after she paid 200.00 for new lenses. called the doctors office they said he was book until January and to go see an optometrist. Called the office manager AMY who is not a very nice person, and she told me noone there would ever tell a patint to see an optometrist.. Well thats what happened and thats what we did and thats how we found out the script was wrong. Mom had vertigo and dizziness from the wrong script. So this AMY asks me when i called I told her exact time and she said she was going to look into it to see who would say such a thing. she calls me back and says she cant find any of my phone numbers onm their caller id. I told her I called their new number and she said now she couldnt verify anything and she was going to do nothing for us after my mom paid 185.00 AGAIN for new lenses. ANd she has the nerve to tell me she called direct optical and DEnnis said he told us to go back to them which is originally what we tried to do. yep Im pissed AMY has no people skills at all and i will b calling Dr. Grossinger personally read more

Dr. Spigelman was my father's doctor for many years, and I took him to a few of his appointments when he could no longer drive himself. I always thought Dr. Spigelman was so kind, gentle and respectful, and my father always spoke highly of him. Fast forward a few years and I found out I needed a procedure done called a laser iridotomy. I knew that I wanted to have it done by Dr. Spigelman. It was easy, and it was a success. I took my mother in to see Dr. Spigelman. She is shy of 70 and has cataract in both eyes. She was first seen with a technician. The way this technician talked to my mother was so degrading. She would ask my mother a question and then mock her. She than called in another technician and they literally made fun of my mother. I was in the room and felt sick to my stomach. Then my mother needed to have a certain test done to see if she was able to spot blinking lights on a screen. Instead of the third rude technician instructing my mother to put her forhead and chin on the machine she physically pushed her face towards the machine and yanked it back when the test was complete. My mother has severe RA and she is frail. Sham on her. I literally told her my mother knows how to speck and understand English and is very capable of following directions. She did not like what I had to say and continued with an attitude. I came home that night and felt disturbed. Our parents are getting older and need help. They took care of us and we need to take care of them. If the elderly complains that they are being mistreated please make it your priority to get to the bottom of it. I am a very patient person I Have never writen a review. Please please please the staff at Grosinger, Spigelman and Grey are extremely rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this office to my worst enemy. If you or your loved one chooses to go to this office please be alert and don't hesitate to tell them that their actions are unexceptable. I rate this business a Zero. They are taking advantage of the elderly specially the ones that do not have a voice. read more

This is the best place for eye care. I have seen Dr. Grosinger since he started in practice. The practice has grown but it still gives you the feel of a small town practice where the doctors and staff treat you like they've know you forever.
