Karen was my therapist for anger management. We've had a short time together and yes she's showed me an outlook on myself. Thats what therapy is for, basically looking for help and to strive in change for yourself. The only bad part is, I called Karen recently today. Very hostile on the phone. Would not listen to what I was saying and kept raising her tone over my voice. Stating I made a no call, no show, on my last appointment. Then had the nerve to say I owed 25$ for that and also, for a letter with just the dates I attended she asked for another 25$. Why would I pay 25$ for simply her signing a paper and copy/pasting the dates. A simple email or fax could of done the job. Which doesn't break a sweat, so was that necessary ? She isn't writing a detailed letter for me. Ridiculous in my opinion. One, I never booked my last appointment. Yet, she kept enforcing that I did, but I can assure you I write everything down. All our meetings I've brought a note book with me, which she can't deny. Two, if there was a last appointment, why didn't the main office reach out to me to remind me? I received no calls. Three, you never act aggressive on the phone towards your client if you're an anger management therapist. Very unprofessional in my opinion. To go back there ? Surely not. I'd rather find someone who doesn't make me feel uncomfortable speaking to them and asking for direct eye contact the whole entire session. Respect your clients and what makes them comfortable. Remember they're reaching out to you for help, not the other way around. read more
