Called Dr Frankel's Office to see "how much visit would be without Health Ins" Was told as a "Cash Patient" that to have a Cast put on, it would be $150.00. "Cash Only" we were told ONCE we got to the office, So I only had a Check from my Husband, and thank goodness I didn't fill it out, and ran to a Bank Of America. As soon as I was back, the Dr saw my son. Literally, spent 25 minutes TOTAL with Dr and he pulled up the x-rays from Hospital, said it was a "minor" Break and asked my son what Color of Cast he would like? He Quickly wrapped it and as we were leaving, the Office girl said, "We can just Bill you for any additional visits!! " At that time, I thought, we "most likely wont be able to afford the visit. As it turned out, after 2 - 2 1/2 weeks in the cast, Matt went to the Beach, got it wet, and cut it off himself!! Then on 8/23, I opened a bill for $730.00 for the visit we had on the 7/28. I assumed it was a mistake, until I received another bill in September for the same amount!! When I called, the girl Robin in Billing said she would call the office, the Office said that they tell all of their Patients that!! Be Careful when it comes to BILLING??!!!!!
