We found out after we kicked AMI out, they were nickel and diming us to death. Interest from our reserve fund was only about 100 bucks for an entire year. With our current management company, this year we earned over 5 grand in Interest. The AMI owner is a crook. Don't ever hire them for anything. You'll be sorry you did. read more

Worse ever association. No responses to anything. No heads up when getting work around the condos without giving owners heads up... Today they are working on the outside wall of my condo. This may just be the least responsive management group I have ever had to deal with. And now on the eve of Memorial Day Weekend we are told that for a 4th year they have not gotten their act together to open our pool. That's a 100% record for this company falling through on what was once a beautiful pool. read more

AMI / Addington Corners condo board are the most disrespectful and threatening management company I have ever dealt with. You get board approval to do an improvement. The improvement is completed months ago and suddenly you receive a nasty threatening letter that they are going to immediately fine you weekly if your "violation is not cured." You learn that no due diligence was done before they decided to start fining you for their imagined violation. Dawn's attitude is despicable and hostile. They seem to have forgotten that my HOA dues pay their salaries. They absolutely make condo life miserable. read more

I just sold my Condo at Forester Square, Auburn Hills and AMI charged me an extra 358.15 at closing. I am trying to get it back but they only communicate through email and they don't answer questions or resolve issues. I am going to have to take them to court to recover the that they are trying to steal from me. I reached out to Jim [manager] to try to clarify the issue and he has never responded or answered inquiries. This company has totally lost focus on priorities and the services that they should be providing and they cannot blame that on the pandemic. read more

my update is I understand once the request is sent to the management co. it was reviewed by the board. my feeling was I pay on time every month. credit should have been given by my record. second I never received the first letter of my payment being late. I would have taken care of it then. this is not how you treat customers. I couldn't get into the portal in my iPad. since then I filled out paperwork at the office for automatic payment. it seems like doing the right thing doesn't matter. read more

If I could give them a ZERO rating, I would. I called over a month ago to work out final condo association payments. No one returned my calls. Other calls during business hours would not go through and all I got was a fast busy signal. Anytime I was transferred to a person who supposedly could help, I never was able to speak with a person and got a voicemail instructing me to email them. When you need to TALK to a person, you should be able to do so. Because of this, major issues were caused with our closing and all the paperwork had to be re-done. The front desk person was rude. I needed to have a date when payments were stopped (by them, not us) and she continued to talk over me while I was trying to explain what and WHY I needed it. All I needed was a DATE and all I got was ATTITUDE. read more

Very poor management company. Dawn and Nancy show little concern for request made by condo co-owners. We have only owned our unit for three years, but we are already considering moving because of AMI's poor service. The company they use, TMI, for lawn maintenance and snow removal are horrible. This is the third year we've had to repair the lawn after it was damaged by TMI's snow removal equipment. We try to limit our request and complaints. However, when we raise a legitimate concern it would be nice to receive a professional response. read more

The worst company ever. April is very bad with communicating when it comes to returning phone calls or emails. I put in a modification request 6 weeks ago to get my patio and have been emailing and calling her and owner and neither one of them have responded . Too bad office is closed for the public else I would be at their office tomorrow morning to talk with someone. My modification fits all requirements within my association guidelines the only issue is the condo next to me has bushes on my property that has to be removed for my patio to be built . Last we spoke 3 weeks ago now she was going to communicate with them . When I reach out to board members in my association they tell me to wait to hear from AMI. Im about ready to take matters in my own hand even if I have to get an attorney . I'm leaving my deposit tomorrow without an approval . They have all bad reviews and we only been with them for a year . In my opinion we should've stayed the old company . Next post will be on Better Business Bureau! read more

Terrible company and people. They give tenants a hard time about processing complaints and give improper and false legal advice in response to complaints. Very hostile toward residents and seem to not want to do their jobs. Would not recommend at all. Terrible. read more

Terrible management skills; completely disorganised! AMI tries to manage our condo property and fails miserably. They hire out any and all labour to a company that is never checked up on. So the property maintenance company 'milks the cow' on a daily basis. E.g. the company that was supposed to clean the dryer vents sat in their trucks outside each condo for about an hour listening to music and smoking...never cleaned the vents but did get paid! AMI really acts as a shield to keep the HOA at Lake Pointe Fairways hidden and obscure. Neither AMI nor the HOA will disclose any of the financials to homeowners! The board members do not want to be known and run around like a bunch of Gestapo thugs fining people for the slightest infractions. I believe the median age for the board member is about 75 so being retired they have plenty of time to constantly watch everybody and just lay in wait to pounce and fine! The board has secret meetings every month that are never announced and their annual meeting is kept secret until the day before or of the meeting. Again, AMI is the force behind this and shields the HOA board to let them do these things. I you call in for a maintenance request it has to be approved by this covert HOA board. The HOA and AMI usually address the effect as opposed to the affect, i.e. replace the bricks but do not repair the gutter that leaks! AMI will rarely answer emails and 'forgets' to return phone calls. The only things that AMI seems to be adept at is collecting the monthly HOA fees and write fines for the HOA that keeps constant surveillance on residents. I told the manager of AMI about a board member going through my trash and was told he didn't know "who that could be". When your garage is open a board member will try to take photos of the interior! When fines are written, AMI does not investigate or make any attempt to confirm a violation. Some residents are given waivers depending on who you know that is on the board. We are looking for a new home because of AMI and the really whacked out HOA that it spends its time defending. I have also contacted the State AG for an external financial audit. AMI will have to disclose under warrant. Keep away from any property that AMI is sucking money out of...whatever you're going to pay is too much! read more

President/owner does not respond to emails about security/safety concerns regarding anonymous emails that were distributed and given to the home owner in question. Has not reaponded or given change in policy regarding release of information. read more

I would rate a negative 5 if I can. This is the absolute WORST HOA company we've ever dealt with. Unethical, they don't want to take responsibility for anything and have ZERO interest in their property owners. Ambassador village has so much work that needs to be done in the community but all my neighbors are complaining of the same things..... POOR MANAGEMENT. I've been trying to get my garage door fixed over 2 years now and keep getting the run around even though it clearly states in the bylaws that they are responsible to get it fixed. Now I hired an attorney to get this done for me. We DESPERATELY NEED A NEW HOA and i'm going to do everything I can with my fellow neighbors to get this done!! If you are considering on purchasing a condo managed by this company, think twice. They are the most unprofessional organization that I have ever dealt with, and I was a Realtor (and condo owner) for 15 years! If you have a problem, they won't fix it or for that matter even return calls or emails. I am watching my investment decrease daily. Proper work orders have been written but with no response even when you are given a date as to when a problem will be fixed. The saddest part for me is I have a 92 year old Dad that I just wanted for him to be happy, and when I purchased that condo I thought he would love it--it is quite the opposite. read more

The worst company ever-the head girl Dawn never takes phone calls. They plowed are grass and everyone else's. Looks awful-the snow was just fine until they did this. They are the worst ever-hopefully we as neighbors are going to try to get a new company. You complain -they don't care-again Dawn is the worst-she shouldn't have this job because she doesn't know how to handle it-I wouldn't recommend them to my worse enemy-my grass is horrible and they don't care-now with the plows going over the grass it will be worse come spring-they are the worst ever-I have friends that live in other condo complexes and their grass and snow never looks the way this does-they use a company called TMI and they are very bad also-I'm seriously thinking of not paying my dues until they fix my stuff-they can sue me because I will sue them right back. This association is horrible, They raised our dues 2 years ago from $125 to $150 to put on new roofs on all of the condos. They never put on the new roofs. They decided to hire painters to spot paint & power wash the condos instead. The roads are bad at North pointe condos in chesterfield. There are pot holes everywhere. They closed the pool, even know the governor said they could open. We have asked for them to lower our dues since the pool is closed & no new roofs on the condos. They refused to do so. Instead they are building new condos with our dues that we pay. We also asked for recycling bins & for them to buy heavy duty trash cans for everyone. they have refused to do that do. They have also threatened everyone and sent out a letter stating that they will fine us $50 if they fine a piece of trash with our name on it. Please do no move into a condo with this association. You will be sorry. read more
