The Providence Immediate Care Clinic on Scholls Ferry Rd has been a reliable and trusted source of care for my family. You can set a time to come in or simply show up with no appointment. We have never had to wait for more than 5 minutes to be seen. The front desk staff, medical assistants, and doctors are all very attentive. Visits are addressed very quickly/efficiently, but we alao never feel rushed. I have chronic pain and complex conditions. They always show me respect when I am trying to suss out how to approach a nagging issue until I can see my specialists or PCP. Sometimes all I need is an ear and to make sure I'm okay, and they do just that. My son has asthma and severe allergies during seasonal changes. It's never been an issue coming in every three months to talk about another flare up and how to manage it until we can see his PCP. Bonus points for location! Oil change and car wash in the same lot. Coffee and donuts across the street. A block east there is a Rite Aid, a Whole Foods, Dollar Tree, Burgerville , and McMenamins.

Facilities are clean and neat, if a bit bare bones for the waiting areas, but check ins have always been smooth, with very helpful nurses, clerks, associates and pharmacists along the way. The facility is nice and well-organized, with a convenient designated waiting area for imaging right near the entrance. While this location stays quite busy because it hosts a Kaiser Quick Care clinic, the staff throughout the building are always friendly and do their best to keep things moving along efficiently.

We were seen by a triage nurse in the lobby and since they do not have a CT scan she referred us to Super ZoomCare in Lake Oswego. I asked her if we needed a referral and she said no they "send a lot of patients over there". We had paid our copay, never saw a doctor or left the lobby, and I shudder to think what they charged our insurance for this visit. We then head to ZoomCare in LO and it's like night and day. New, well-lit, bright, clean, and modern. Charged a second copay (which is fine), but I will now always bypass The Portland Clinic and head straight to ZoomCare. TPC is making themselves obsolete imho.

I appreciate that when you bring a problem up, they are very reactive and supportive of testing. That's been nice, they don't ignore your complaint. What I don't appreciate is being told incorrect information, and getting no response from them when I reach out. I.e. I was told to go to a walk-in clinic for a specific test, it needed to be done quickly. I drove to the clinic they suggested, that test is not available there. I then try to call the office and reach out via their portal, and do not get a single response. I get frustrated and just decide to deal with the pain. Ultimately I ended up going elsewhere to take care of my issue. Ultimately, I understand they're busy, most places are, I can look past this. Then the very last time I went, was for a routine visit, in which case, after being checked in and brought to a back room, the person taking my vitals started questioning whether or not my insurance was going to cover my annual visit. I said I believe it would, it usually does (It would have been, I checked with my insurance after this) -- however, instead, they suggested canceling this appointment and making a later appointment in the year because the insurance coverage was unknown. I was now questioning things myself, so I agreed. Before I left, they sent in a very nice woman to have a brief conversation about how my life is doing currently, and that was that. I now see my insurance is being billed over $300 for that. I also owe a balance. Insurance Code 99213. To tell some random person I didn't know that it's hard raising young kids under the age of two. And the weather is nice. Less than 5 minutes. I really want everything to work out at this place, but I am really starting to question things.

Worse customer service ever…read more I had an appointment at 10:30 for over a month, on my way to the clinic from the other side of town I received a notification that my appointment was canceled when I was just arriving early to my appointment. The person in reception told me I was wrong and there was nothing she could do. My appointment was setup by her initially and she said 10:30 and I wrote it down in front of her 6 weeks before. Worse customer service. Won't return here. I was no more than 15 minutes late if it was at 9:30. I drove over an hour and I explained this to the receptionist. Nothing matters to this person. What a lack of empathy and willingness to serve the community. I would suggest this person finds a better more suitable job. And by the way my appointment was at 10:30
