The staff were friendly, and I didn't have to wait too long to be called back. Hygienist ?Daniele? was easy on me and even complimented that I was the easiest clean in weeks. I asked if that meant I got the easy on the hygienist discount. Laughs. Dr Wardius was obviously very experienced and thorough and easy to work with. A couple of recommendations were made and I was out of there quickly. While the practice was not pushing technology, I left thinking that maybe the office could use a little bit of a technology upgrade. But it was just an overall feeling that I had, nothing specific comes to mind.

I called about 5pm on a Thursday and got an appointment for the next morning, unheard of in the city. On the basis of that appointment I needed a deep cleaning, scheduled for the following Monday. They are also replacing my veneers which are very old. They just took wonderful care of me. Everyone was very professional and non-judgemental, they do their own insurance processing right there in the office, and even fill prescriptions. So glad I found this office!

They…read moretell you that all your services will be covered, only to turn around a send you a huge bill after the fact for clauses that were clearly visible if they had just taken the time properly check the insurance. I fully believe that they botch insurance claims on purpose so they can squeeze as much money as possible from the patients. The practice manager is incredibly unprofessional as well. I was actually prepared to contact the Bureau of Consumer Protection and the State Board of Dentistry to complaint about this office. I might still do the later. The point is, that my family and I will not be returning there, and if you're a head of family who cares about them, you should pay attention to all of these reviews. They are that low for a reason, and protect your family by not taking them there.

Waiting room is actually a patio that's full of sunshine. Never had to wait too long there though. I have passed it hundreds of times in the past two years since living in the area. It's a quaint building, a residential property. I went in today after making a SAME DAY APPOINTMENT, which is unheard of. I arrived half an hour early and the inside is so quaint and cozy. You don't feel like you're in a waiting room, you almost feel like you're on someone's enclosed country porch. I filled out my paperwork, and I was taken back to the dental chair RIGHT ON TIME. No waiting, no wondering. The hygienist was incredibly sweet and polite (the receptionist too), took all my info and was very considerate and understanding taking my x-rays which of course are so unpleasant. Then I saw Dr. Emily Hu, and I cannot recommend her enough. She was SO patient with me. I have no pain tolerance, and she was so considerate and kind. Several times she held up a hand mirror and showed me exactly what was going on with some problem areas, and explained clearly and in a non-judgmental way. Going to the dentist is never fun but this experience was so great, I just can't believe it. I have seen some pretty crappy dentists in my life but HappyCare and Dr. Hu were the best I have ever visited in my 40 years on Earth.

Dr. Jackson is nice and unassuming, and his staff is very friendly. Aston Family Dental Care may not be the fanciest dental office around, but it works for me.
