They seem ok until you have a problem with your pet then they can't help you at all. Very disappointing! Time to find someone else.

Oh my gggaaaahhhhh, I am so thankful that I found Dr. de Jong!…read more I have a 15-year-old black lab that I HATE taking to the vet. Between getting into the car, to the car ride itself, to the doctor taking her away from me on a slippery floor while I have to wait in the car, it's always a super stressful event - for both of us. It was getting to the point, however, that a vet visit was a necessity in order to get a prescription for her preventative medications, so I went on a hunt to find a visiting vet. Dr. de Jong (who introduced herself as "Kathy" - how friendly is that!) was very responsive to my messages and came out pretty quickly after I got in touch with her. Her nurse, Jill, was also a wonderful blessing. Both of them were just so kind and thorough, and did I mention kind? Friendly. Gentle (literally, like the name of her business!). They explained everything they were going to do before they did it, asked permission to place their items here or there, and were overall exceedingly pleasurable to deal with. They performed annual exams on all my pets, took blood, collected stool samples, administered vaccines, and did it all while trying to keep the pets as calm and comfortable as possible. What normally would be a days-long recovery from a traumatic vet visit, with my senior dog limping from tired muscles, and my cat rubbing his nose raw on the cat carrier, took only an hour. I can't recommend Kathy and Jill enough. If I could give more stars, I would! They are true angels! XOXOXO.

We were facing the emotional weight of a serious diagnosis, and they made what could have been an overwhelming experience feel supported, informed, and hopeful. Dr. Pelltz was incredibly knowledgeable and intuitive--she helped create a clear timeline of Mabel's care and gave me guidance with empathy and precision. Every question I had (and there were many) was met with kindness, patience, and thoughtful answers. The team never made me feel rushed or dismissed, and they've continued to follow up and ask for updates even after Mabel's referral--something that speaks volumes about how much they care. Even when I brought up the idea of pre-medicating Mabel with gabapentin for future visits (after doing some of my own research), they were immediately receptive and worked with me to make it happen--getting us same-day access to help make her future appointments as calm and fear-free as possible. This practice truly goes above and beyond--not just in treating their feline patients, but in how they care for the humans who love them. I'm so grateful to have found them, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for deeply compassionate, cat-focused care. Thank you, Dr. Pelltz and team, for everything you've done for Mabel--and for me.

The cost at our local vet ranged from $2,300-$4,600 depending on complexity and biopsy options. I contacted Providence after a neighbor used them for dental surgery for her two pets. Providence communicates mainly via text. They do so quickly and efficiently. They provided their email for her medical records and we were scheduled for surgery within weeks. Including a donation the total was $650 and the care was excellent.

Recently, we adopted 2 stray kittens in 2020 and got them desexed here at Providence. All is well, they're healthy cats! Another round of stray cats we adopted was last May 2024, again desexed here. All good. Those strays had kittens (happened before we adopted them) and they are now old enough to be desexed as well. My six cats are happy and healthy. Our regular vet is not Providence, but Providence has been a great resource for spaying and neutering far more affordably than our family vet. I will pay for ER vets and surgeries, tests, etc. as needed for my pets, but for something like a routine desexing surgery, there is no need to pay inflated prices, and going somewhere that does it so routinely assures they are well practiced. During desexing exam, it was determined that one kitten had a tooth infection. Providence told us he had a fractured jaw and that a snaggle tooth was the only thing holding his jaw together. They needed to put a wire in his jaw for it to properly heal. Poor baby! We had taken him to be looked at by UrgentVet in Wayne, and they said there was an infection but completely missed the BROKEN JAW! Anyway, Providence healed him and he's a new cat! We've had positive experiences here and appreciate the text communication (they don't do calls) from the vet side of things. They may take a day or so to reply, but they always do, and we were given more thorough & intelligent replies than we get from our regular vet. Providence puts heart in their care, I have confidence in their capabilities, and I would recommend them!

We felt rushed by her, she did admit she had another appt. My husband aka Kira's Daddy for 15.8 yrs carried her lifeless body out to the drs car. Inside was a very large gurney. The vets car was extremely HOT. Temp was over 85. When she left w/ our baby, all we could do is think about our fur baby's body in the heat while the dr did another appt. The Dr also stated that the crematory from Wilmington DE would be coming to get her lil body. We were NOT told they ONLY pick up 3 times a week in Philadelphia. I ask for paperwork for our beloved fur baby. Only given just this afternoon a tiny bit of information. Nothing abt transport & how long our sweet baby was subjected to CAR HEAT & where her lil body was stored, exact dates & times! I did receive a email from Lyla @ Laps Of Love, telling me all abt their storage place. If my fur baby was there, then prove it to me! Provide me with the times & dates & any other pertinent information concerning my baby, Kira! They claim they are compassionate, this was cruel & unusual torture! We are senior citizens & hv not slept due to this nightmare! The crematory they use, Animal Soul Crematory, can't give a straight answer either. I hv been told our lil girl was cremated on Tuesday 6/9/26 then I was told it was Wednesday the 6/10/26. I was told she missed the UPS pick up on Tuesday & would be shipped Wednesday 6/10/26 afternoons. I email & receive nothing back! Finally only to be told she was cremated on Wednesday. Yet, how could she have a UPS tracking number on Tuesday if she weren't cremated on Tuesday?? How could our fur baby miss the UPS pick up after being given a tracking #???? I hv continued to try to get my baby's paperwork. Yet to receive anything from the Crematory. The cost of this nightmare is $1022.00 I think they owe us for unethical abuse of our lil girls body in the heat & after trusting them! They came recommended by a local veterinarian & Kira's veterinarian.. Who hasn't heard our story yet, but will soon! Beware there are $$ money hungry companies that are unethical & playing on fur baby parents when we are at our lowest point! I finally received my babies remains this afternoon 6/12/26, where hv they been w/o any paperwork & are they really Kira's, after paying more $$ for a private cremation ??? The urn is a piece of junk & so tiny.. I will be buying a wooden urn made in the USA & appropriate for our baby with personalization.. BE WARNED may no other fur baby parent go thru this nightmare, ever...
