We had to say Goodbye to our beloved dog recently. We're so grateful to the Doctors and Staff for all the care they gave over the last five years. They were so compassionate and kind. Thank you.

Dog put to sleep here and then they send a bill balance inside a sympathy card. Not happy. Could not get billing correct, too!

I took her to Dr. Rider and he didn't listen to her heart or lungs knowing that I brought her in with breathing issues. The next day I get a phone call at work from my daughter who was in such a panic it scared me. She said I had to come home right away. I left work not knowing what was happening and when I got home I rushed inside to find my 3 yr.old cat Reta having seizures. She was screaming in pain and was rolling uncontrollably across my bedroom floor. My husband and I called Dr. Riders office and they refused to see her bc he was busy with other clients! They recommended us to take her to the Swedesboro Animal Hospital where she later died that night. I got a call from the Animal Hospital with the devastating news. The Veterinarian asked me if if was aware of Retta's condition and I had no clue what that was bc Dr. Rider said she was fine & healthy. Come to find out my cat died from Congested Heart Failure. This all could have been treated if Dr. Rider took the time to examine her correctly. I will never recommend him to anyone! He is all about the money and really doesn't care about the animals. On top of that he's arrogant and rude! He doesn't answer questions and will cut you off when you're trying to explain why you brought your pet in there in the first place! I will never ever use him again!

I wanted to take him to court to take his license but mom stopped me. She is too nice. Regret to this day!!!

Made a appointment with Faithful friends to do a small Mass removal on my small dog. I dropped her…read moreoff when I went back to pick her up at 4:00. The vet that worked on her came out and told me after he closed her up the first time she was still bleeding real bad. He had to go back in and put her to sleep and open her up the second time. So I had to sit and wait an extra hour for her to wake up off the anesthesia. When they brought her out to me they had her in some kind of suit. The lady was carrying her and she said it was a space suit. She said she would carry her to my truck and they had raped her and she told me to take the bandages off. When I got home that night I took the bandages off. I couldn't believe my eyes. I never seen anything so bad in my whole life. She was so swollen and bruised in between. Her two back legs was so swelled. They look like giant blood blisters. They gave me enough meds for 7 days and and said rest. I stayed with her in my bedroom around the clock and kept icing her down. When I called and said how swelled she was that's what they told me to do after a week and a half bleeding had never stopped. It wasn't real bad thick drops but steady and then it got a little worse and he told me to put a Band-Aid on her so I was using big band needs. Every time I took one off it was so filled with blood. I couldn't believe it. So I took. I called and said she was in pain and I need it more medicine. I'm still thinking well. Some swelling went down and don't look as bad. I was praying she'd be okay. They told me I would have to bring her in to get the medicine so I did why there? I told him bleeding never stop. Is she bled on their floor where I was sittinI told the lady at the receptionist she went and got a mop and mopped it up. They gave me more meds and told me the same thing. Rest and I left within 21 days from surgery to the day she bled out and died in my arms. I left another review. It would be the first review and I put pictures with it but it looked like things were changed around and it was set so I added it and I'm rewriting it now. I don't know if They'll let me post pictures to show you how bad it was. I called there said I would like to talk to the vet that did the mass removal on my dog. She passed away and they said they were so sorry and they would have him call me a week. Maybe a little over a week later. He called. I told him you went in twice. You had to do something wrong the first time for her to bleed like that for you to go back in the second time. He called me delusional and asked me can I prove it? I got pictures of before I brought her there and look great and I got pictures when they were done with her she looked so bad he had to know something was wrong for him to opened her up twice. He just prolonged her death. She suffered for 21 days before her passing. He told me the second time he went in. He tied everything off and she'd be okay. Just rest and medicine from surgery to the day she passed was exactly 21 days. I googled it about if a vet opens the dog up twice and it told me that yes that's not good. I experience that should know better and if she died within 21 days that's why she died because she was opened up twice. If you would have just told me the first time before he opened her up the second time because everybody makes a mistake that he hits something and couldn't stop the bleeding and had to know she was going to pass away. He just let her suffer. I would have just had her put down so she didn't suffer. I am very hurt that he has denied anything to do with her passing. I'm very mad. He opened her up twice. Never asked me. Could he go back in twice or did I want him to go back in? He just did it on his own. I lost my best friend my companion. She was all I had. She went everywhere with me and did everything together. She is very missed. I'm lost . and he still hasn't taken responsibility for what happened to her. I believe he's mean and selfish and knowing she was going to pass and he let her suffer for the 21 days. All I've done is cry. I can't believe I took her for a small Mass removal to make sure she was okay and I was so happy to go get her and then he came out and told me he had it open her twice and when I took her him and seen her it was the worst thing I've ever seen in my life. I had to watch my dog suffer for 21 days. Why he was in denial until her death? Dr Quin did the surgery I'm not from PA in from Newcastle Delaware.

Perhaps if our animal was not breathing, or if he was having a near death experience we would have felt differently. Our pet had alarming symptoms that all signs pointed to getting immediate care. We did not get immediate care. When my husband arrived with our cat, his temperature was 104.5 and he was lethargic. Their solution was put them in a cool room. My home is air conditioned. They never came back to check his temp or help lower it. After 2 and a half hours we had to beg for updates and the staff used answers that didn't pertain to our pet when explaining what was happening. Again we had to solicit for answers. I understand short staffing and critically ill patients and having to wait in an emergency setting. I do not understand waiting six plus hours for nothing to have been done and absolutely NO communication that our pet was stable. I do NOT understand dismissing our concerns and not providing basic supportive measures (fluids, anti nausea). I do NOT understand taking our pet for an assessment and not bringing him back and not telling us why and not giving us information that was promised. It was stressful for every one of us. In the end he was stable enough to have waited for our normal vet appointment (which took 1 and a half hours, included supportive measures, xray, and bloodwork read in that time). Communication from the Blue Pearl staff saying he was stable and we could either wait for them but it would take a looooong time OR we could safely take him home and go to our vet would have made this experience exponentially different. I don't mind paying to know he is stable. I do mind being left in the dark. $300 later to have been told it could be a GI issue or it could be anything else is not helpful or warranting payment. We have alternative options lined up for the future if need be. Hopefully this Blue Pearl location can get its act together. We have always had a good experience with them in other locations in the past and this was truly anger provoking and disappointing.
