It looks seedy and its sure located in a shady area (with exception to the next door Best Yet supermarket) but Astoria Liquors has some of the best selection of booze for reasonable prices. I stumbled upon here in my quest for an ATM and while purchasing a lottery ticket I noticed all of the bottles of alcohol that had prices that I could barely believe. A bottle of Barcadi Mojito Mix for example was only $19.99 for a half gallon, one that goes for nearly $7-10 more in the city. Jolson's is probably the most popular one in the Ditmars area due to its location, but this quiet store owned by a nice older Greek man is a mini diamond in the rough. At some point, I will have to come back here and purchase my future bar's worth of alcohol. If there is any knock on the place is that its not so easy finding specialty brands or specific flavors as they seem to be bunched or scattered throughout the store. Oh and they're one of the few (rare) stores that actually DELIVER as well. Wow. read more

I am not sure why Astoria Liquors doesn't have more reviews. The service is absolutely exceptional, the store is spotless - you won't find dust on the bottles. The owner really cares about what his customers think and want, and the quality and price of the wines and liquors is definitely reasonable (considering it's in Astoria). Please make sure to stop by - they have a great selection! Hopefully after COVID is all over you will be able to go for their weekend tastings and try some of the great wines and liquors they have to offer. Either way, please stop by, you won't regret it! FYI if you love reds as much as I do, they have an Aussie Mollydooker Shiraz (which I don't find in many places) and it's delicious and reasonably priced! Don't let the shabby exterior fool you, this place is quite decent and offers their stock at the lower end of the market price. Liquor wise, they have all the basics in a wide variety. If you are trying to find a less popular/mainstream ingredient for a cocktail recipe, I would suggest you look somewhere else. 3.5 stars read more

This shop is in the very small area of Astoria that looks like Compton in the 90's - the Best Yet supermarket plaza. But it's actually a real gem. I went in for the first time a few weeks ago and was surprised at the huge selection. They have many varieties of wine and liquor and the staff is knowledgeable about everything they carry. On a subsequent visit, they had a tasting going on and the manager encouraged us to try multiple types of wine. I had five cups of wine in rapid succession. I then appreciated that the manager brought my purchase out to my car since I completely forgot it. This is my new go-to store. read more

this booze shop is away from the loud and crowded area of astoria and it was worth the visit cause the selection is extensive and prices are very reasonable . stopped by with my buddy who lives in the area and this is the only liquor store his family , friends and himself go to. the staff are very friendly and helpful and the display of bottles are easy to find. while my bud was picking up his johnnie walker and vodka i was admiring the labels on the wine bottles and grabbed one vino from france and one vino from italy and for 12 bucks each i would consider both bangs for my bucks. due to covid no wine tasting tables or no pretty gal plugging some new tequila brand. they have a buy more bottles deal which starts with 5 percent off when buying 3 bottles and the higher bottle count the better discount. good solid old school liquor shop that i am glad my buddy read more

A Wonderful Store. It has a large selection of wine, more than other local Liquor Stores. They have good deals on 6 and 12 bottles where you get 10 and 20 percent off. The people there are very friendly and helpful. I needed a specific wine, that they didnt have, but they ordered it for me, which most stores never do. On top of that I got 20 percent off on the case. It is located in a shopping center with a Best Yet, so you can get all the food and drinks you need for night or the weekend or the summer. read more

When looking for a complete wine and liquor store with a knowledgable staff, wide variety and great prices, look no further than Astoria Liquors. I love this place!! After doing some grocery shopping, I always walk over here to grab a bottle of wine for dinner or a nice spirit for some gatherings. Always a friendly staff, owner Vadim is usually in and has specials running all the time. The best part is that they have a huge private parking lot AND they deliver. There are many liquor stores in the area, but I always find comfort in visiting Astoria Liquors. read more

They have great plum wine and sake. Takara and onigoroshi. When I was working in Japan, I used to drink them a lot. Takara is the well know and best plum wine from Japan and oni goroshi is super popular one in Japan! Taste great! Recommend them! read more

I find the service at this liquor store excellent;the staff very friendly & helpful to customers. The price is right & the store is well stocked with various wines and liquors. They have a wide variety of wines from Chile & Argentina which I tend to prefer. There is free parking at this shopping center which is a big plus; easy to get in and out quick. The store also sells lotto tickets which is a another big plus.
