The driver was later than expected and he then took the wrong route (a simple journey that is only 10 mins max from my house). He hit a dead-end, than hit a one-way system and doubled-back on himself more than once. If I had known he didn't have a clue, i would have gladly directed him from the get-go. It's sad that in 2017 a taxi-driver who is still learning the London roads does not have an A-Z handy or better still a GPS Sat Nav system. Please learn the streets on your time and not on mine. It is for this reason I will be using a different company in the future.

I have never had a problem ensuring the driver is aware of a passwordso that i can ensure i was am getting a cab from the firm i have ordered from, which is important when getting one from outside the Brookfield Centre as there are a lout of 'scouts' waiting to catch people finishing their shopping. The prices are fair and generally i am charged the same price for the same journey on most occassions. When i have been charged more i politely mention that i usually pay this price and the drivers usually say 'ok'. I am a very nervous passneger and the drivers i have had are always careful and chatty if you engage them first, which always helps me enjoy my cab ride! The drivers will always help me put my shopping into the cab and help me unload it at the other end! VERY HELPFUL

He drove through the City very carefully and was absolutely on time for our pickup and drop-off at Heathrow. It was my first visit to the UK and he was quite interesting to talk to and I really enjoyed having him answer my many questions and comments! The car was beautiful, clean and comfortable and drove like a dream. The company prides itself on its timeliness, courtesy and safety in thick London traffic and it shows. We loved the conversation, but the company & drivers make it known that if you'd prefer quiet that's absolutely fine. Either way you'll enjoy the ride. We couldn't be happier with Cos and the company and hope he is our driver when we return!

Overall though the service has been average at best, but I was willing to take that because they were slightly cheaper than the others. But in the past they've left me standing in airports for up to an hour (multiple times), made me take a 3 hour trip home when the quicker, but longer route would have taken 1 hour (multiple times), charged me extra for asking to get home sooner by taking the M25, and on one occasion left us stranded at an airport for 4 hours without a word. But the icing on the cake was today. I got on my flight in Costa Rica and just as we were about to takeoff they said we'd be directed to another airport in South America, meaning I'd get to my final destination late. 247 said it's their policy to charge for a less that 3 hour notice cancellation but for me that was impossible, I was in the air 12 hours before and only found out about the delay when on the plane and with no connection. So they decided to charge me full price for the original trip (I was willing to pay a reasonable amount) and then the full price for the second trip when I finally got home. There was no loyalty, no appreciation for my issues and no willingness to compromise, or help me. My journey home would have cost £150 instead of £75. As I said I was willing to do ale a bit, but to be ripped off like that was not good enough. So I'm done. It's over. I decided to use another company for my second trip. I'd advise you to avoid at all costs. I used them a lot so probably know more that many on this site what they are like.

We have travelled with UTC three time in the last two years and have been more than impressed every time. Each of our itineraries (2 in India and 1 in Kenya/Zanzibar) was well-thought out and allowed us to see all we wanted, whilst giving us time to relax as well. Seamless organisation by ground staff at all locations. At times we felt like royalty as we were whisked through crowds, got the inside view and learnt from locals keen to share their local treasures and special places. Everywhere we have stayed with UTC has been stylish, from tented bush camp to exclusive boutique hotel. Highly recommended!
