I've ate here before and never really had a problem so I thought. it makes me rethink the whole restaurant. The cook was outside, smoking a cigarette came back in to make my sushi without washing his hands just put 1 glove on. I ordered my daughter a kids, fried shrimp and rice. And I'm glad I took a bite out of it first, because when I did, it Hadn't been cleaned at all. There was a thick line of shrimp feces up and down the whole shrimp. The group and I walked out without eating got something else after. The building outside is dodgy. Red flag 1 but just a small one. Inside is small and there is one counter with fish. No big deal. Expect the fish didn't look like sushi quality fish. Unless you eat raw fish regularly it is hard to describe. But basically it didn't look fresh or high quality. Red flag 2 When you stand nearish the counter there was a fishy smell. Red flag 3. We start talking openly about leaving after flag 2/3. Honestly just planning on where. Waitress corals us to a booth by the wall. Small place kind had to go that way anyway. We sit down look at cooked food options on menu because not everyone wanted to give up. Great place. Staff was friendly and it was good food. I got hibachi chicken and side of scallops. I also had a sushi roll called the eel lovers roll. The atmosphere was very diner like and that was interesting, however it didn't take away anything from the experience. In fact it added to it. I ordered Asuka for the second time tonight, and for the second time I was extremely disappointed. -they didn't send chopsticks ether time -there is barely any meat or veggie in their rolls -both times they did not send soy sauce -the yakisoba was extremely bland, with very fee veggies and very low quality of meat. I grew up in Yokosuka-shi in Kanagawa, Japan. I do NOT recommend Asuka for your Japanese food fix. read more

I want to start off by saying this is our go to sushi place, and usually we don't have any issues but usually only come during the day. Tonight we came around 5:40, looked over the menu and had a pretty large to go order. 7 rolls total and 3 side items. I made a note of the order in my phone so I could have it ready to go and make it easy on them. Placing the order took longer than actually receiving the food itself. It literally probably took over 15 minutes to read off our order bc the The older gentleman with an accent kept confusing a younger girl with accent; and they kept switching back and forth for several minutes taking my order and trying to take other to go orders over the phone, as well as trying to do the window by collecting money and handing out food. They read it back to me and I double checked the receipt to make sure they had my order correct. The food was ready pretty quickly, but all put together in same boxes; Poorly put together, some falling apart and missing ingredients in rolls, or adding items that were asked to leave off. I had to ask them to write on the outside of the boxes what was what, because we couldn't tell. When we got home and looked more closely, we realized things were wrong, or falling apart or barely anything inside them as shown in photos. I paid right at $74. This may not be a lot for some but this was a pretty high coating dinner for such a horrible experience and the food to be wrong/falling apart. At this point I don't even want it anymore. Highly disappointed in the customer service and the way the older gentleman handled things. We used to love it here but will probably be trying other places now. read more

I went there with a group of friends and I think we were inconveniencing a couple of the waitresses there by having a larger group dine in. The waitress that waited on us wasn't nice or helpful. When we asked for our condiments she got upset and dropped off at our with an attitude, we had to keep going up to ask for help like getting our waters refilled and that only made it worse. The main girl (I think was a manager) was so rude, we we're so embarrassed never had been treated like that at a restaurant in my life. And the food was Below average. On the flip side I celebrate the kindness of other staff like Ninja in The fort, they're always super nice and their food is WAY better This place, Going here was like a surreal experience for all the wrong reasons. read more

My favorite restaurant closed so I thought I'd try this place a few times a bit ago, and again today. It's hit and miss on proteins being undercooked. Ordering take out/drive through is usually okay but the staff is sometimes rude and pushy, acting like entitled children if you ask if they got your order right, or ask for anything on the side. I just ordered food today and thought it would be different. Took my shrimp fried rice order home and I guess hoping to have them properly cook food in a way that won't give people food poisoning was too much to ask, because almost each shrimp was half grey. 1/5, would not recommend. I suggest Fuji across town if you want some quality Japanese food in Fort Smith served by people who will at least act professional. read more

This place is an old subway. That should say enough. We drove up and questioned if we should even go in. Don't. I prefer grocery store sushi over this place. I've never had nigiri fish pieces cut so thin. The rice to fish ratio was definitely off. As someone who LOVES sushi and tries it anywhere I go, I would never go back here again. Been here a few times and it's been really inconsistent from great to ok. I always get the moon roll. It comes tempura and it comes way to fried to perfect. This time the rolls were about 90% rice. Hardly any filler in them. The price is right and it's convenient from my house I just wish they were great all the time. read more

We tried the Asuka roll (gotta try the one named after the restaurant), the Triple Spicy roll and the White Dragon rolls, on our first visit and they were AMAZING! We had the sushi sampler and the tuna tataki (seared tuna) as appetizers and they were also great. We want to try the sashimi sampler next time! They just opened in January of 2017 and we had heard that the food was great but the service was slow, however today was our first visit and they were speedy fast and the food was still great! I strongly suggest that you give them a try. read more

Pretty small place but cozy. Friendly staff. I wish they would have brought all of our food closer together. I ended up finishing my meal before my son and husband were served, but they were on the busy side. I ordered the rainbow roll. I'm not sure what to compare it to being that this was my first time having sushi. I have to say I'm not a fan of sushi I guess. It just didn't have much flavor to me but maybe that's just me. My son and husband enjoyed their hibachi meals but wished the rice had veggies and more egg rather than plain. I think it would be a good place to grab a lunch special. read more

Quality food at a great price. One of my go-to restaurants in the Fort. I usually get the Fillet and scallops.

We used to go on a weekly basis after a friend recommended the place and we like to support local businesses but we're not supporting this restaurant anymore. We like sushi and we have gone to so many sushi restaurant and we know how the descriptions on the menu typically are. So, we ordered some sushi and when we got them it was spicy hot and raw and we ordered from the fully cocked ones section on the menu. When we told the server she replied that it was suppose to be raw and I told her that the menu didn't say it was raw and that it has spicy sauce. Her attitude was so rude, like she didn't care, that I decided to pay and leave, even thought I wasn't gonna consume the food then she told me; "you don't have to pay, just get out of here". It looked like she was related to the owners or something cause the her rudeness towards us was like she didn't care if we complain or not. So, I'm not eating there anymore. If you go, make sure you get what you ask for so they don't treat you like crap!!! read more

The employees here are beyond nice and accommodating..we ordered a to go order and they called me back to tell me they are out of goyza. They offered me egg rolls instead and I said that's fine. We sat down to eat and noticed no egg rolls either. Called asuka back and they said to come by next Tuesday for a free order if goyza and egg rolls. Kind of annoying but sweet of them to offer that so I was happy. Then I opened up my hibachi. I paid for and ordered extra broccoli. On an earlier review of this place I gave it a good review mostly based on the Rangoon's which were previously the best you could get in town however today February 18 I went and got some of these now keep in mind they are a dollar apiece it's a Rangoon so one order is four bucks we got them home I had two orders they were awful they apparently had cooked them at some time during the day they were not any good they were hoard rubbery and hard to eat it was not pleasant At all I did not ask for my money back I don't want compensation but when I spoke to the person in the restaurant over the phone they had and I don't give a damn attitude so I guess I don't give a damn either and will not visit this restaurant again and would not expect good service from them if I were you I don't expect good Rangoon's cause you might get some good ones one time in the next one it'll be crap like mine were today they were actual crap the dog wouldn't even eat it read more

The food was delicious, but the service was soooo slow. Sat for 32 minutes for 2 sushi rolls. Server never refilled our drinks, asked if we were ok. In fact table next to us came in 10 minutes after us, got their food, ate and left, before we got our food. Wish it was a better experience for a Birthday dinner. read more

If you're like me and you've seen the same Hibatchi show 20 times and just want the fresh Hibatchi, this place is for you. It's cheaper than the other Hibatchi/sushi places in town and just as excellent! I have not had their sushi, but all of my friends highly recommend it, specifically the Firecracker roll. I have gone a few times and thought that it was tolerable. But the last time I went it was the worst excuse for sushi I have had to date. Yes sashimi should be cold but never have I heard that it should still be frozen, and when your sushi roll feels and taste like it has been microwaved it does not add to the texture value. I ordered from here through Waitr. I've never had food from here to before and I must say I wasn't all that impressed. I realize that sushi has a lot of rice, but this was 90% rice, and the salad I got was advertised as a house salad, what I got was just lettuce, nothing else. Gyoza was ok, seemed reheated.
