My bill is never the same each month and it keeps going up, each time I call I get a different reason and am told a program I was in was upgraded and I need to re-enroll, guess no one thought to tell me. I am told each time I call what my rate will be each month and it so far is never right. Now, my voice mail is suddenly locked, why, no idea. 3 people and not sure how much time later I am told it is fixed, when was it broken. I told them I needed it fixed immediately as I have a sick family member in a hospital in another state and I need to get those messages as soon as possible. AT&T Internet is the most irresponsible company ever and don't care about anyone. I have a hole in my backyard that they made 3 month ago and we have call them several time to come fix it, they said I need and account nonsense. I am not a client they just ask for permission and said it was a quick fix. I am not a client, I left them long ago after they acquire BellSouth after they lower my internet speed and claim my own modem as their even when I paid full price for it to BellSouth. I always payed early and 1 time my bill was delayed in the mail they charge me a late fee. Now I have a big hole in my backyard for 3 month that looks horrible and taking space. Next time AT&T ask for permission to enter my backyard I will tell them I am not a client and will never be. I thought xfinity was bad but boy was I wrong. I recently moved and made a call to AT&T to move over my services to the new address. Of course that was asking way too much for them to do. Not only was my services never moved to the new address and stayed at the old address, no one could tell me why or how this mistake was made. I have AT&T since 2016, I never needed more than 25MB/s, so I took the basic service, but I only have that speed via Ethernet, They changed once the Router because I had Internet blackout every day that problem get fixed but the speed never improved. Now almost 2020 my average speed is 9MB/s. That is under Haiti, Cameroon, Somalia and some other third world countries according to: https://www.speedtest.net/global-index If you call them they try to sell you more band width, even if they are unable to just provide what you already paid for. We have been with AT and T for many, many years (even before it WAS AT &T). The service (or lack thereof) continues to worsen. If something malfunctions in our home, we are on the phone for hours as they want us to do testing and try to repair ourselves. If they come out, they propose to charge $99 to try to determine the issue (after we pay a huge amount monthly for home phone, tv, and internet service). To make matters worse, now the people we talk with, have great difficulty with the English language. I would never recommend using AT & T. I always am so disappointed and upset every time I attempt to remedy situations. No one to call to actually help with their "service". Run away from this company. I had them when I lived in Los Angeles and have to use them in Miami. Both times - totally disappointed. If you have access to anyone else - consider it - then again - any quasi monopoly such as ATT, Comcast, etc. you're screwed. Oh my - still on phone with ATT, the rep just offered me $25 for my troubles - about 135 minutes on the phone in total. That works out to $11 an hour. Completely disappointed and frustrated after trying to setup Internet at our new place for TWO WEEKS: Day 1: Called AT&T, someone will be there in 48-72 hours they said Day 4: Tech came and told us the underground line had to be checked. The tech said another guy would be out later that day or next day Day 5: No one showed. We call AT&T and they can't get ahold of who helped us the previous day. They said someone will come out again in 48-72 hours. Day 8: No one shows/calls Day 9: We call again, they say someone will be out in 48 hours and that our setup "is in process" Day 11: No one shows/calls Day 12: We call and they say someone will definitely stop by the end of the day. Day 13: Still nothing. We call to cancel our service (if you can even call it that!) and it's a 40 minute call!! We immediately called Xfinity, and within 15 minutes were able to setup an appointment and installation. They said it is guaranteed to be setup within 2 days. Worst experience ever! Hands down slowest internet I have ever had. Unfortunately my complex has some deal with AT&T so I cannot cancel, but save yourself the headache and go with Xfinity in Jax area. If I was able it would be about $15 cheaper a month for the same plan. I have the second tier (not the cheapest) plan with AT&T and at random points in the day as the only person on my WiFi in 600 sq ft apartment while sitting right next to the router I can't even get a webpage to load. I'm currently using 4G from my phone plan to write this review. Trying to play Nintendo Switch online basically won't happen. Had to Ethernet in and get an adapter to even use online and still will randomly have too much lag from my end, once again as the only person using it. Just ended with Xfinity on the other hand in March and played online constantly, no issues. Looking forward to moving again, this internet isn't usable. read more

Abominable customer service, locally (Sunrise/Weston). They left an exposed cable in my yard for almost 2-months and would not give me the decency of a phone call to explain what was going on. Local techs wouldn't answer my calls or texts, nor call back. Canceling my service...even though all of these big service providers collude with one a another--so they can all get away with providing equally horrible service. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service! I've been without Internet since Sept 10th. It's Sept 28th and have been given the run around by 5 different people who don't seem to know when the "outage" in my area will be fixed. Speaking to neighbors of mine, I'm the ONLY person who doesn't have internet and have had 2 appointments cancelled last minute. I was supposed to have a tech come out today between "9-10am". I call and they tell me, "Oh it got moved from 1-4pm..". Who was going to call and let me know that??? As if people don't work? I would cancel immediately but the competitor in Coral Springs (Bluestream) are even worse. At this point though if they can provide me with actual working internet I might have to go back to them. Unreal... **UPDATE**_______________________________ So a technician came out and literally within 10 minutes restored my service. My area had been outage free for well over a week and all he had to do was replace a corroded wire outside the house which I made mention of being a BIG possibility to customer service. I signed up for At&t U-verse in October and I haven't had a clear TV picture since. My recording lose picture and skip frames. Not sure if I am explaining it correctly but bottom line between the tv and internet I have to call them every day and when I do they make me do there job. It should be zero stars since I ended up with no service. I had the DirecTV/Internet package and it became too expensive. I dropped the TV and kept the internet. Since the contract ended, my price for the internet rose $13 from what the internet cost me before. The following month, I was charged another $16 on top of that. I called ATT and their Service Representative said this was now the price. I asked why they didn't notify us that prices were changing and they kept going back to the cancelled contract (which only raised the price $13, not $29). I cancelled immediately. A few days later, I called ATT to find out how to send the their modem back. They convinced me to open a new account with introductory pricing. The Sales Representative told me an installation guy would come to put in a new modem at my house (new installation) in two weeks at no charge to me. That Friday (two weeks later) came...and no one showed up. Not a phone call either. Nothing. I called ATT, and they told me because of Irma they were pushing back installation dates. They couldn't give me a definitive day when they could come out either. I told them if this is how you run a business you're going to lose a lot of customers because it's unreliable and disrespectful. I cancelled AGAIN. I called Comcast and they came out 5 days later and installed my internet. No hassle! While he was completing the install at my house, I was talking to the Comcast worker and he just got ATT internet (new install)...last week!!!!! I don't know what's going on at ATT but you need to stop lying to your customers and do your JOB! read more

I don't understand why in the world do apartment complexes make contract agreements with companies like ATT so that they can monopolize the internet service for residents. This takes away any competition and allows them to abuse their customers by over charging for little things (like the modem) and force them to bundle with other unwanted services (like TV) for a mandatory 12 month contract. You have other service providers who are a lot less expensive but we cannot use them due to the ATT contract hold. They suck. read more

I switched to AT&T U-Verse (from DirecTV) when I moved three years ago and have only gone so long without canceling it because of sheer laziness. I have a tv and internet bundle and I'm aggravated with each service, though the tv service is the worst. The pros: The price is good during the promotion period (usually 12 months) The on-demand programming is extensive, and you'll need it to see your favorite show that the dvr didn't record despite the fact that you scheduled it and double checked that you scheduled it. Internet is not the slowest, but definitely not fast. The cons: Internet goes out every night between midnight and 5 am. Glitch or just them saving bandwidth? I'm skeptical. I don't know if it's a recent thing or not, but I'm up at odd hours with my newborn lately and the internet never works at night. Download speeds of UP TO 12 mbps. It's never ever that fast and 12 mbps is a mediocre speed anyway. It's impossible for two people to live stream at the same time. The dvr can record 4 things at once, but if it does there will be chunks of programming missing or just frames of glitchy pixels. Sometimes things just don't record at all. The dvr holds less than it should for its capacity. I think a 1 hour standard definition program should take up 1 or 2% and twice as much for HD. I currently have 18 hours of HD recordings on my dvr and only 27% is available. Seriously? It's outrageously expensive after the promotion period ends. I currently pay about $180/month for 200 channels (no premium ones like HBO), DSL, two dvrs and hd service. The TV service is about $117+ tax and internet is $52+ tax. I've decided to "cut the cord" and give up on TV service altogether. With Netflix, Roku and Amazon (all of which I already have anyway) I can watch all of my shows for a fraction of the price. My husband will mourn the loss of live sports, but the Sports Grill down the street will be more than happy to accommodate him. As for internet service, it looks like Comcast is my best bet but if anyone lives in a 10+ unit building try to get Webpass service in your building! It's $55/month for speeds up to 500 mbps! On 10/29/2021 i was Scammed (bait & switch) in walmart on atlantic and 441 in florida and Kadeem a 3rd party Sales Agent with Cydcor who works to sale AT&T asked us about our service. I spoke with him about our phone service and he advised he can give me a deal. He told us our bill will be 125.00 for 3 lines for the At&T elite plan. With $5 a line for next up . I even took a picture of the part of the document he showed me that shows the break down on the elite plan.He also said our phones will be free because I qualified after my credit check and that we will just pay 6.00 for the extra data. I was paying 115 for 3 lines with my previous phone company and he told me my bill will be 140.00 plus tax i traded all 3 working phones (iphone 11 plus iphone 8 plus and iphone 8)in good faith that this sales rep was telling the truth well ive been scammed i got my bill and it 209.00 . I spoke with att escalations and they told me the plan is 150.00 not 125.00 for the elite. They also told me that i will have to pay a partial fee for the 3 phones i received that were supposed to be free with 6.00 fee for data. I am baffled and upset because this is a contract and i was doing just fine before and was lied to and scammed out of my money. read more

Att Uverse operates extremely immoral, unethical, and in some cases illegal business practices which in turn leads you to having to contact their customer support very often and their support is terrible. The cable/internet itself is reasonably priced and OK but definitely not worth the hassle of dealing with their sketchy business practices. Every time I speak with them, regardless of the reason, they quote me a price or confirm a fix and 9 out of 10 times, they lied or do the wrong thing, and I need a follow up call. At one point they signed me up for DIRECTTV NOW without telling me (illegal) which charged me extra. Those charges continued for 3 months, despite me calling each month, but they continued to lie and say the charge was for something else or that it would be credited back and it was taken care of. I had to call DIRECTTV NOW to cancel something I never ordered (their customer service was great, fyi). ATT UVERSE signed me up for a contract without telling me (illegal) which is of course non-binding since they never got my approval ahead of time and did not provide me a copy of it. In fact, when speaking to customer service on the phone, they absolute REFUSE to provide you anything in writing. Because of their terrible business practices, when I tried canceling, I asked for them to send an e-mail that confirms I'm canceling and the last day of service. They could "assure me" everything was set up correctly but each person stated they sent me an e-mail but I never once got an e-mail. It took me 3 hours of being transferred up the chain to multiple managers before one person finally told me the truth that due to "company security settings" they are not allowed to send customers e-mails which is so sketchy. When they tried to say I was under contract, I asked them to send a copy of the contract to me. They refused and therefore released me from the "contract", because I never agreed to one.
