I was on someone else's account, and ended up taking my two lines and transferring them onto my own account. When this is done, they ONLY allow you to do it over the phone. After the transfer- My insurance was taken off not only my 2 devices but my girlfriend's 2 devices on the previous line as well. Att told me I couldn't have insurance because it has to be there from the first 30 days. This took 6- 1 to 2 hour phone calls to get straightened out. Then the next bill was extremely high at $220. I called Att and was told I would get a credit for the one month and that would bring it down to 180. The representative told me, " your next bill and the following ones after will be 130 plus taxes and fees. This mistake was due to you being on a 1 gb plan instead of unlimited. I promise this issue will never happen again. Fast forward a month. My bill is $812 I was still on the 1 gb plan and I have called over 15 times in the past month. I literally got hung up on 5 times and put on hold and they never came back 5 times.5 different times ATT tells me they are ,"creating a case" but can't tell me the case number because it takes 3 business days to generate. So when I call back they ask for a case number and I can't give it to them and they can't look it up. A rep told me a few days ago my bill will be $160. Perfect. But it's not updated on the account. And my bill is late and still showing I owe $710 . I cannot even begin to fathom how anyone can run a company with such horrible customer service. I have stopped by this ATT shop on two occasions for different reasons. On both occasions the staff were friendly and helpful. Their equipment and systems seem extremely slow though. It took me over two hours to upgrade my phones. There seemed to be one problem after another with the system on their iPad. Eventually they had to call customer service. Overall, the staff appears to be doing the best they can. The equipment delays are probably part of the reason for wait times. read more

I've had the same phone since 2011, so I was in need of new one and eligible for an upgrade. I decided to take a trip to Aiken, SC and stop in the AT&T Store. The store was busy at the time, but everyone there assured me that I would be helped soon. My sales associate was very nice, he took the time to find options to lower my bill and make sure my new phone had the latest accessories, which I didn't need by the way. The store is well organized and stocked. See Chris for your phone needs. He was nice and knowledgeable. I've been an AT&T customer at least 10 years. Honestly be careful. Make sure you double check what's going on with your account. I wanted a prepaid line and it was added on to my plan account. That's not what I wanted. I bought a phone up front. Wanted a prepaid line for my kid. The lowest prepaid plan. Nope paid out of pocket for a phone just for a line to be added onto my account. Why would I buy the phone out of pocket and then want the line added to my account? I would have wanted the phone on my account incase anything happened it would have been covered if that's what I wanted to do. Nooooooo I wanted a prepaid line not a line added to my account. Every time I go here the customer service is very good to excellent. The wait times can be a bit lengthy but when it's my turn I want the same time given to me so no complaints! After obtaining new cell phones over many years, the Aiken At&t Store stood above all of the other locations by far. This includes locations in other States in bigger cities. The Manager spoke to me twice during the process and asked how it was going. Very exceptional. The phone specialist, Zach, who helped me obtain the phones my wife and I wanted, was the best I have ever experienced in terms of technical knowledge. Zach, though very knowledgeable, did not push me to purchase a certain phone. When I explained that my wife knew exactly what she wanted, he understood and sold me that phone. Zach was very informative and I understood everything technical that he explained. The mood the entire time was light and easy and everything worked out better than any previous time I had obtained new phones. My wife and I are pleased. If we have a question, we know we can stop back and ask it, no problem, and obtain the best information. The Manager and Zach walked me to the door when I departed. Aiken At&t is impressive. I do not know everyone in the store but the Manager and Zach were beyond my expectations in every respect. RG read more

I would like to give them 0 stars, but Yelp won't let me. The people here are SO incompetent. I am new to Aiken, so I visited the store to get Internet. I was told I would get a bundled price on Internet and DirectTV. I didn't want to get DirectTV, but since I was told that DirectTV would only be $25, I got it. The DirectTV got installed fine, but the Internet has not been installed. I was told it was going to be installed on September 21st. I called the store on the morning of September 21st to confirm my appointment, and they didn't have my appointment scheduled. I spent over an hour on the phone with the lady I originally spoke with at the store, and she couldn't give me any answers. She told me she would call me back, but she never did. I called her back and she never returned my call. So, I had to go to the store once again. She claimed the system was down, but miraculously got my order through when I was there. She told me my appointment was between 9-10am, but then I got a confirmation that it isn't until between 1-3pm. Also, the monthly charges weren't as stated to me. I have wasted about 5 hours total dealing with this situation. I am beyond disappointed. I have been an AT&T customer for over 20 years, and I really want to tell them where to shove it. AT&T is the only option for the Internet where I live, or I would go somewhere else. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE!!! read more
